This broker is also a Landstar agency, the WAM, to be exact. Other than my experience
with Shelby, this was pretty "standard and what one would expect dealing with Landstar. But unlike, most Landstar experiences, this agent was less than forthcoming with all pertinent information regarding a particular load I got from them. Specifically, she asked that I not speak to the customer myself, but rather deal only with her and she set up my pickup and delivery appointments. The pickup went fine, but the delivery did not. See, she failed to inform me that if I did not unload on the night scheduled, I would have to wait until the following night and definitely not the following morning. I was not mad at the customer, but I was very disappointed in my dealings with Shelby and her less than professional attitude towards my time. She did try to get me offloaded at the earliest available time the next night, but she acted like she was doing me a favor and I did not appreciate it. She did not offer any monies for my trouble or even apologize. In the end,
I lost a day that I could have been doing another job. I did attempt to express my distaste of this situation to Shelby, but she blew me off and said it was my fault for not making my appointment or calling her in NY about a situation in NC. As great as it would have felt to curse her, I took the high road and did not. But this review is serve informational to anyone who may deal with her in the future.

Update: March 2017
Now this broker fails to provide pickup number where needed. I tried to do a move for her St Patty's day. Got to the shipper and they would not load me without a pickup number and I could not reach her to obtain it. She must have been out drinking green beer.She is a poor communicator and is not available to carriers after hours. I am a World Class Professional and I only work with professionals. This woman is not, therefore I would never work with her in the future and I advise others to do the same.
