Great specialist bookstore for nerds. Front of the shop is pop sci and general interest topics like computing, physics etc. Back room has lots of specific textbooks like UX design and coding.

Good selection of coffee and cake!

When I went there was a mix of people working and socialising which is good to know as I've found some cafes don't allow laptops in Seattle.

In this decade, a good bookstore is known for it's curated book selection. It tells you who they are. The character of this place is unimpeachable. It's clever, it's classy, it's like hanging out in the home of your smartest friend who always has something new to show you. Except my smartest friend was never so tidy.

The staff is diverse, friendly, and charming. Tip them well please.

The book selection ranges from graphic novels to technical manuals about obscure programming languages.

There are some comfortable tables with clever contents in their shadow-box-table-tops. Have you ever seen a table light up when you put your bag on it? Have you ever seen a hundred compasses go crazy when your phone vibrates?

There's supposed to be an office loft, but I haven't found it yet.

I hesitate to mention that there's an attached bar with regular social gatherings. Look, it's a super nice spot and I don't want it to get too crowded, okay? Try and and keep it a secret 😉.

Ada's offers a small selection of high quality loose teas. They're mindful of appropriate water temperatures and steeping times. If you order a pot, they'll gladly offer a second infusion. I particularly enjoyed their Kodama Sencha, which has melon notes. Their seating can be suitable for reading while sipping; however, you may find that nearby conversations or their music with vocals to be distracting depending on the nature of your reading material.

One of my favorite places in Seattle. Great coffee and an amazing selection of books. You can spend the entire day reading, sipping on coffee and enjoying some delicious baked goods.

I only came here for the bookstore aspect of it so I can't speak on what the drinks are like.

They had a good variety of books here. From fiction, children's, manga, comics, to educational books on a bunch of different topics (computers, biology, science, philosophy, etc.). There's something here for everyone. And they also sell brain teaser puzzles as well. Part of the bookstore was in a separate section from the rest of the Cafe. I can imagine this would be a good place to study.

Overall, a great place to bring your fellow book lover/ nerd.

This bookstore and cafe was a fantastic find. They have a fun and welcoming atmosphere, from their lighting to the notes on the bookshelf, giving book recommendations. They sell a lot of fun puzzles/challenges and have a table set up where you can try them out. The cafe has a lot of great food and drinks options with lots of seating inside and outside.

This place is a gem! One of the greatest coffee shops in Seattle for studying. Cute little house and cozy indoor. There are about 10 small tables and one large bench table. This place is full with books so it feels like a library here. Open late until 9pm (since lots of coffee shop close early).

The coffee is great. They also serve some wine and snacks.

Most books here are tech related. Great for study, work, or just reading while sipping a cup of coffee or wine. Lots of outlets on the wall, you can pretty much sit anywhere even if there are no tables available.

Staff are super friendly!!

What an amazing vibe for a bookstore! Definitely a must-visit location for book lovers.

Lots of puzzles you can actually work on, coffee making goods, an awesome little cafe, tons and tons of really interesting books everywhere, some interesting swag in the back, and a cozy little place to sit down and enjoy all of the above.

Such a cool concept and space. The book and gift selection is perfect for the science lovers in my life and the cafe has some great drinks and eats.

It makes for a great cozy reading spot and offers special classes as well. On nicer days, the streatery is a good place to people watch.

This shop is pure magic. Like, I walked in and the curation of books was everything I ever wanted to read. Found myself overwhelmed at times at just how much I wanted to pick up and delve into, knowing I can only go one book at a time! And there was such a genuine community feel in the air. Even for into an impromptu deep philosophical convo with one of the staff members. Love this place!

If you're looking for vegetarian and vegan breakfast, this place is perfect. Their tofu scramble is unlike any I've had recently, full of flavor and textures. Their hot pastries are surprisingly fresh and flaky, and reminded me a little of pasties. My favorite part is their iced lattes, the lemon drop flavor is light and delicious!

One of my favorite cafes AND bookstores in seattle!! I love the nerdy interior design and the focus on books that are often hard to find in other bookshops / libraries. Very cozy and nice to sit and work at, and if you are lucky enough to have an event at the Lab, its a wonderful bar experience!

This bookstore/cafe has all the right vibes! We love going here on weekends to get coffee (their holiday peppermint mocha was ⭐) and to read in the perfect environment. They have a diverse collection of books - I especially enjoyed their coffee table books section. The servers are all lovely to talk to and super helpful.

Loved this place! Super yummy and the atmosphere was incredible. We got the Ra Ra Ras-poutine and the 1-up mushroom toast. The poutine was incredible. Not traditional poutine but tasty non the less. They also pay their employees a liveable wage and don't allow tips which I thought was incredible. Will definitely be coming back on my next trip!

Beautiful place to come study or work with a fantastic selection of books for programmers. They have a silent room too for those who want to be around less noise and have a bar which can be reserved for special events.

I wish they had UX design books around the shop though. Also their pastries run out quick cause of how good they are so get here early.
