Awesome place to get your groceries, water, snacks, etc. The place is very clean and tidy. There is a parking lot right behind the building and it's where the main entrance is located as well. Bakery is great and the food is great.

Good store and customer service at this safeway. Locations is convenient for getting stuff my family needs. Better than the one on Madison St. more parking and bigger.

Busy place in Capital Hill.. but they have great deals on meat and veggies. The Multi Meal Deal is only $19.99 for 4 different packages of meat. The fajita package in the pic ended up being $4.99!

Matthew consistently creates a lasting impression at checkout. He works in liquor and front end checkout. He is always efficient, intelligent, and friendly. Today, he explained how some clearance items are not damaged but rather may have simply been on the shelf too long. He should be commended as he is a reason for me to shop at Safeway. Ironically, Matthew looks like a young Matt LeBlanc!

I went to the store for a late emergency looking for aloe vera. I got there 15 minutes before closing but was unable to locate it though I knew from looking online it was in stock. Two staff members looked for me and found it! I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you! In stores in another state there was no staff around to even ask.

Large store with good deals and ample stock. Stopping by just after noon will find the butcher's midday clearance

Maybe it's weird to review a grocery store, but the workers here deserve every penny they make and a huge raise on top. I've seen them manage some insanely stressful situations and still maintain a cool composure/friendly disposition. The location is really convenient and following the closure of the QFC, it has become the one place where people can get generally more affordable fresh groceries. Right along the bus line, it can get very busy and a little crazy at times. The selection for specialty items and "ethnic" cuisine could use a boost.

I was really worried when I saw signs slating the property for development, but it seems like it just means more housing and an update to the store, which was a huge relief. Very grateful to the employees of this Safeway and hope they get everything and more that they deserve because they are the best.

First off, hats off to this lovely establishment for having employees at the registers. I quit going to QFC because I feel like I work there when I ring in my groceries and bag them too. Not only do they have register help but nice people bag for you, too. Thank you, Safeway.

The lady in the bakery was very nice and sliced up my baguettes for me even though the bread was super hot and hard to cut.

I picked up some bakery goodies, juice, cold coffee, energy drinks, as well as Chocolate milk for the begining of what I plan to be a beautiful and filling day!!!

Shopped at Safeway today and I love going to this location because of their parking lot! My cashier was DJ and he was absolutely delightful!! He provided great customer service and had a great energy about him! Thanks DJ for making my grocery shopping experience much more enjoyable, will definitely be coming back!

You have to respect the workers amount of patience they show with everything going on around the city. It seems like everytime I go through the self checkout I end up setting off the help me light at least 3 times average weather that me or the machine, the gentlemen always is very helpful and happy to help. I have learned to appreciate good help like that. Thank you Safeway guy.

After the sad departure of Kroger, Because they did not want to pay their workers livable fair wage, Safeway remains the best place to get daily items. I’m actually looking forward to the rebuild they’re going to do adding more affordable housing in the neighborhood, a new retail options. It’ll be great when it’s done

I needed some boxes for moving and the guys in the deli and wine section were super nice and helpful. But really, everybody that works there is super nice. I also especially appreciate the lady at the hot food counter. She always makes me laugh when she almost yells "what else" after every order cause it startles ppl who never ordered from her. Don't let her change!

Solid grocery location. One of the better options in this part of the city. Deli and produce departments were up to par. Prices were as expected.

Dear Safeway....what do we have to do to get you to bring back your Lucerne brand 2% chocolate milk? It was so thick, smooth, chocolaty and perfect for dipping cookies. I've been searching for years to find something just as delicious to replace it but so far nothing.... nothing but sadness.
