Wind and Tide Bookshop is a wonderful addition to our Oak Harbor community. The bookshop offers a variety of options and is a great resource for book lovers. The shop owner is familiar with her inventory and readily provides helpful recommendations for readers of all ages.
Shoppers can enjoy the atmosphere, the books and the joy of learning, the mystery of intrigue, and sinking themselves into the lives of the characters of the books they select. Whether reading in the store or purchasing books or other offerings, you can expect a welcomed treat by stopping in at the Wind and Tide Bookshop.

I am always amazed at the selection of new and used books including atlases, biographies, cookbooks, historical, fiction, kids books and more in this small book store.

The owner is great. She is very knowledgeable and accommodating. If it’s not there she will order it immediately.

Great book store, with history and an owner who wanted to keep it as such because she loves reading a book in your hand ! I order from the kid section often for my great grandkids and Karen gives me good advice on age appropriate books. There are so few book stores left I hope you will support this one and enjoy the feel of a book in your hand .

Walking into Wind and Tide Bookstore in Oak Harbor, WA, I was greeted with, "Welcome to Wind and Tide! How can I help you?"
The owner, Karen, was courteous, helpful and very kind to me. She patiently guided me to the right place. I left very happy with the experience, and have returned many times to pick up and order more .

Cool little book store in Oak Harbor!! You must stop in when you're in town.

Great little book shop. The kids book selection was solid and affordable including some Gerald and Piggy books. The back area with the fireplace is also pretty sweet. My wife found a rock identification guide. I guess I would say that it is definitely geared toward the area.

As another reviewer indicated the woman there is great. Give this place (instead of amazon) a chance and you won't be disappointed.

Recently I decided to buy local. So, this is my first stop when I am looking to scratch off titles on my growing list of books for my personal library. Although I rarely find them, I know I can order them from their catalog of new and used copies. I prefer the feel of a lucky find. I visit often and search their extensive selection for new inventory.

I especially appreciate how kid friendly this store is & my four year old can be a kid without me getting anxious about his play. Albeit, my child is a super mellow fellow.

A nice selection of new and used books. A good, old fashion, home town book store. There's a nice sitting area in the back, with games and lots of children's books.

Wind & Tide Bookshop is an amazing eclectic little bookstore with such a great variety of titles. They are so helpful when I can't locate the titles I am looking for and are alway eager to help me find or order them. The kid selection is fantastic, with many children's books for only $1! How can you beat that these days?! They even do kids activities and provide free meeting spaces. Great for military wives that want to get together. This place is perfect for everyone and for every age. One of the best books, especially if you are a visitor, is a book located on the front counter that shows the many things you can do on beautiful Whidbey Island. Even if you live here, it's worth it to check that book out! I also have a few art pieces up in the shop available to be made custom with your favorite books. Go ahead, it's a beautiful day to take a stroll down historical Pioneer Way and check them out!

P.S. They even have yummy chocolate bars at the front counter. BONUS!

A lovely little bookshop filled with both new and used books, plenty of titles featuring local flora and fauna, a great selection of children's books and activities, and a friendly, knowledgeable owner who knows the community and knows her books!

Cute local bookstore. They carry a selection of new and used books as well as books by local authors. Keurig coffee is available in the back for a couple bucks. However, if there was any downside I tend to feel a pressure to buy there and i often like to browse to get ideas about future purchases. This might just be their version of friendly though and I wouldn't take away from their rating for it.

Great small book store...lots of unique items...big local section...good prices

I absolutely love this book store. I completely spaced on the title of a book when I came in and they gladly looked it up for me. They didn't have the book in stock but they ordered it for me, had it within the next week and called me to let me know it was in. I'll definitely return here.

Great book store

Cool hole in the wall book store. A lot of used books and other merchandise. The lady working there was very chatty and wanted to help, but realistically we could have found everything else for less on Amazon.
