I love, love, love Model Home Clearance Center!!!!! The selection of furniture is amazing and they get new inventory every week! Good, quality brand name furniture at affordable prices! They even have some custom pieces. I can't seem to ever leave without purchasing at least one nice piece. I've furnished most of my home with pieces from Model Home Clearance Center and my favorite and most flattering compliments have been "Your home looks like a model home." I can't say enough about Brett, Terry and the rest of the warehouse and showroom team. They have ALL given me stellar and personalized customer service throughout each visit without fail, from shopping to delivery. They take time to get to know their clients and their needs, which keeps me coming back, as a loyal client. I highly recommend this store to anyone in need of furniture. I also recommend that you wear comfortable shoes during your visit because the warehouse is ENORMOUS!

This store was recommended via another customer and I was not disappointed. I was looking for a specific end table; I had no name only a picture. I tried other stores but they were either very quick to brush me off or gave me the run around. When I presented the picture, she took the time to help me find the item. It was honestly a pleasant shopping experience and I will definitely be coming back soon, great customer service. BTW the name of the table was Acrylic X end table and it was so pretty.

Amazing place to find great lightly used furniture, lamps, rugs, art. Sadly, after 30 years in business, they are closing soon. Currently all art is selling for $15, $25, and $35, depending on size. All furniture is also on sale. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

I had the most lovely experience today at the Model Home Clearance Center in Gaithersburg. I met Kevin who thought I was a frequent customer only for him to find out I was a 1st time customer at this location. Kevin was truly a blessing in so many ways. Chuck with his amazing talent with refurbishing furniture. Reem and Lena closed it out with their expertise and finalizing my order. I was so happy when I left because of the great experience I had with the entire team. You can tell they work well together and are in one accord. While we are not perfect, I truly give kudos when it's warranted. I tell you this team deserves a special shout out and a special acknowledgement. Let me know how I can contribute!!!!!

They are going out of business. Everything is marked down. I got a King Size bed and box spring. Plus a big gigantic entertainment Center for no more then $100 all together.

I was recommended to this store for its expansive selection of home decor. I was able to walk away with seven pieces including a cabinet and bookshelf for $830. Out of curiosity, I spent some time looking at the retail value of my pieces, and all seven pieces totaled $3,150. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I am more than pleased with my shopping experience here and will definitely return soon.

What a great experience I had at Model Home Clerance Center. Lena has attention to detail. She is professional and very knowledgeable. She helped me find the perfect furniture and accessories for my house.

I'm not understanding the negative reviews on here. This store offers a huge variety of furniture at great prices. My husband and I went there this past Sunday, July 15th, and bought a dining set and two recliners for around $2,000.00. Compared to a store like Basset (which we also love), this would have cost us a lot more. We also liked that their staff wasn't aggressive either. We will definitely go back again in the near future and will recommend this store to our friends and family.

Got a desk here recently and the gentleman that assisted us was fantastic. The desk itself was of very good construction and a fantastic deal. They even wrapped the desk for us to protect it in transport. I think a lot of people expect walmart prices for the furniture but you are getting far beyond walmart products. These items are of high quality and the price shows but they are still a phenomenal deal for what they are.

The Model Home Clearance Center is fantastic! My wife and I have purchased several items in the last year, including some art work, a dining room table, and an end table for our living room. I love going here. I bought a pair of dining chairs that were comfortable and nice looking for a great price. So fun to explore and see furniture that's different than what you see everywhere else. A great find.

After buying a new house, we spent many days looking around here for new items to fit our new space. Everyone was always very helpful, and we have purchased many items - from a dining room set, to rugs ,to artwork! We will be back!

I don't understand the negative reviews. I bought a dining room set with table and 6 chairs, brand new $700. Living room set with 2 chairs live seat and couch total $1300. Great buy.

I think some confusion regarding the “mixed bag” of reviews is a result more of the name than the product. Sometimes, when someone sees “CLEARANCE CENTER” their first notion is that it’s priced VERY inexpensively, ie cheap! That’s not always true—-instead, as the ORIGINAL prices of the products are higher here, it is the VALUE that must be looked at. If I see a couch that retails for $1500.00 and it’s now $800 and in “like new” condition...I’m a HAPPY consumer because I grabbed a great deal!. To compare it to Goodwill or a low end warehouse of mediocre furniture is to not understand that the MODEL HOME Clearance Centers price points are higher as the products are of better quality, therefore, you’re obviously not going to get the same prices you’d get from a more inexpensive item.

Also, the mention of things being dusty/dirty, I love shopping that warehouse area!! There are some under-explored pieces that are VERY salvageable and with a bit of ingenuity you can grab some DEEP discounts there!
PS If it looks like it’s been sitting there long time and is in need of a repair AND a good home....NEGOTIATE! 🧐😁HaPpY shopping 🛍 and savings!

What a great experience! The staff was extremely helpful and the items were better than expected. Amazing place to find quality items at a discounted price.

I've been looking for a good store with affordable furniture for the 6+ years we've been remodeling and redecorating our home. Last year (2008), I was thrilled to find the specialists at MHCC, who decorate model homes, then resell the furniture and accessories at deep discounts! It's very good stuff, top makers, some scratch and dent. Most has been "used" in model homes, so they sell at lower prices. (The furniture isn't exactly cheap, but it's far lower than retail for high-quality goods.)

If you are looking for quality furniture at comparatively reasonable prices, visit their showroom. They have a lot of dining tables and sets, sofas and LR sets, end/side tables, artwork, lamps, side chairs, ottomans and coffee tables. They also sell pool tables, card tables, and some outdoor, but you have to ask about that (it's not on the floor).

They also have a limited selection of beds and BR sets, but they readily admit that their mattresses are NOT good, so plan to buy a mattress elsewhere. A few desks and a bit of office furniture. Some entertainment centers. Some rugs. No electronics. They have a lot of artwork and knick-knacks, but I don't really look at that. If you are decorating a large room from scratch, you might have a look.

Stock changes weekly. Ask a member of the helpful, knowledgeable sales staff to see the extensive selection of furniture in the *huge* storage warehouse (in back). If you are looking for something in particular, they will show you everything they have.

I have bought an armchair with matching storage ottoman in leather, a dining table, side tables, lamps, and dining chairs. MHCC's high-end, stylish furniture at comparatively reasonable prices will keep me going back until I've finished re-furnishing our home.

Frequent sales (get on the mailing list!). Furniture styles from classic to contemporary (lots of modern/contemporary stuff). Also, the furniture tends to be scaled for large, Potomac homes (i.e., couches and artworks are fairly big), so bring your room dimensions and borrow a measuring tape from the MHCC staff.

Free parking. Expert delivery to DC Metro area available, by nice guys (I've used them twice). Everything is clearly priced. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Bathroom facilities for shoppers.

The only "Con" I can think of is that it's kind of hidden in an industrial park.

The election was very adequate as my wife and I looked for a few items to finish accessorizing after a move. Nice people run the place and were very helpful.
