Stop here for BBQ!!! I stopped because of the big sign eastbound on I-40 and I'm so glad I did!! You order at the window and there are uncovered seating outside. The food was really good and the portion size generous. They automatically asked me what kind of sauce I wanted and they have several options. The hush puppies were crispy and not dense. I got the combo with pulled pork, ribs, and beef chunks; they were all good but I especially enjoyed the flavorful ribs. I wish this place wasn't so far away; we would become a regular if we lived nearby.

Not only was the food great, we experienced some of the best customer service we've had in years. The gentleman who took our order was very kind as he explained the menu and took our order. Then he remembered my name from my order and checked on us several times. It was refreshing to experience this level of customer service and I couldn't help but smile as I walked out the door hearing "Bye Trevor!"

There is not a better place to go eat BBQ than at Okie Dokies! The Dunnings are fantastic. They pride themselves on their food and their service and they should because both are the best you will come by. If you're in the mood don't leave without trying their famous fried pickles and ranch dressing....SO Delicious. But you can't go wrong on the menu...EVERYTHING IS GREAT!

Finally remembered to take a picture. The food smells so good we normally just dig in! Some of the best BBQ food I've had. Ribs very flavorful and for the price even better 👌 our to go to spot whenever we're in the area have been coming to this spot for the past 3 years

I came here with a group of 8 friends and it was a truly amazing experience! The service was amazing and everyone was so nice, not to mention how delicious the food was.

This is the second place we've tried this trip. It has been the BEST! Okie Dokie s is located at 2375 US Hwy 70 in Swannanona, N. C. at I-40 Exit 59. Don't think about trying anywhere else, this is the spot. It was recommended to us by Hoss of the nearby Harley Davidson Dealership. As my friend says," ya wanna know where to eat, look for the bikers! "

We split a full rack of ribs that came dry rubbed with black eyed peas, fries, chopped brisket with chips, coleslaw and jalapeno hush puppies with ranch dressing for dipping. Delicious! It's dine in or on the covered deck. No matter what ya have to place and pay for your order at the window.

We are in the area on vacation and gave this place a try and it did not disappoint. I got the half rack of ribs with Mac n cheese and the jalapeno hush puppies. Everything was very good but what really stood out to me were the hush puppies, best I've ever had, and the dipping sauce really complemented them.The other plate was the little combo with collared greens and fried okra, also very satisfying. Everyone was welcoming and friendly including the kitchen staff. The portions were perfectly filling and the price fair. I will say during a cold Wednesday night the place was busy and the patio not an option so there was a longer wait time but the staff seemed to work around that well. We did avoid the wait by choosing to eat the bar, not my favorite seating arrangement, but doable. This place is worth a stop definitely.

The food is delicious, the habanero BBQ sauce is unbelievable, you have to try the jalapeno hush puppies, the staff is super friendly and helpful. We have been on the road for over 2 months, this ranks in top 5 places we have eaten.

We had Okie Dokies cater our family reunion today and the food was AMAZING! Jennifer was so helpful from start to finish! They made ordering easy, as well as pickup! The food was piping hot and there was not a single complaint in the house! Also, we have plenty for leftovers for the next few days! I’m so IMPRESSED and I don’t know that I have EVER had better barbecue! Thank you Okie Dokies for being a part of our special day!

We were going to get Pizza but happened upon this place due to the reviews we said let's give it a try and man oh man. Everything was delicious and fresh. Very good food and very good company.

Friendly staff! Full rack of ribs are amazing! The picture is missing 6 and I couldn’t finish the rest. Take home box! I highly recommend the jalepeno hush puppies!!!! Bam they are good! Pulled pork is tender, delicious and great sauces options.

Stopped here on the way to Asheville and DAMN! The ribs fell off the bone! All the sauces were delicious, the jalapeño hush puppies were better to me than the sweet. I also got collards and mac n cheese. All was sooooo good

We were all very pleased with the bbq, being from Texas we weren't sure how good it would be. So glad we stopped and ate here, will stop again before going back home. :)

Very good BBQ. Ribs are fantastic as is the pulled pork. The two pillars of good BBQ. Definitely try the fried pickles as well. Sauce is vinegar based, for those wondering.

Stopped here on a road trip with our 2 dogs. Service was very friendly and accommodating for us. We got the pulled pork sandwiches that were incredibly tender and flavorful... and a side of smoked chicken for the pups. Sides were good also!

All I can say is OMG!
Better than doc Brown any day.

Anyone that serves Mamas yells Pils for $1.99 is tops in my book. Pork sandwich was great and the homemade brownies rich and fresh. We stopped in our way back from hiking Lookout and we’re so pleased with the restaurants food, service and proximity. Pet friendly— another WIN for us☺
