I research the performance of the insurance companies using Consumer Reports and JD Powers as well as other customer reviews. I make my selection of insurance based on a combination of price and these reviews. So I look for the best rated companies at the best price point. After selecting the insurance companies I want, then I look for agencies offering these companies. The Bechtold Agency carries some of the highly rated companies. The staff at Bechtold are great to work with in structuring my coverage. Since I have not needed to make an insurance claim, I cannot comment on after claim performance.
