Alexander's Cafe

This is one of my very favorite restaurants. The place is always decorated nicely and feels welcoming. Food and service are great. I always try to order something new, and I have never been disappointed.

Very nice restaurant. Big and very elegant waiting area with fireplace. Hostess station is right in front of the door. Food is very good. Nice size serving. Bathroom even have mouth wash with little disposable cups. Have kids menu.

This place has been a staple in my life since they’ve gotten to this location. The food is amazing and the staff??? AMAZING. As a server it is so refreshing to have such good service being given. Been coming here for years and I’ve never had a bad experience with anything here. LOVE LOVE LOVE

I've been coming here at least once a month since my initial review two years ago. The food is always great. I like to order different types of meals when I come here. The service is excellent and friendly as always. We come on Sundays after mass so there is a bit of wait but I never had an issue waiting. The piano music is great. Everything is great just one tiny thing from our last visit was the orange juice was very sour. The Caramel Frappuccino was very tasty!

The food was so fresh and flavorful. I had the half salad (berry nut) and half sandwich (chicken salad). Definitely would order again. The fresh feta in the salad complimented it wonderfully along with the vinegarette . Very elegant atmosphere. The service exceeded expectations.

Had brunch with my little one. Our waitress was awesome. Everything was delicious.

Wow! Just got back from Alexander's Café and loved it! Atmosphere (piano playing) spacious, tables not too close together, great food, ample portions, selections and very tasty. Our waiter, Mike, was excellent, great personality, always there for whatever we needed, was wonderful! First time here but definitely not the last time, we will come again. We were impressed with the menu, portion size, staff and great atmosphere!!!!

Been here twice, and i LOVE the fruit in the pineapple. So good. My son got the oreo pancakes, and both times we’ve been it was so good. The staff is friendly and the service has been 5/5 both times. If we lived closer we would definitely come more often.
You also get a lot for your money here.

There was someone playing the piano there on Sunday when we stopped in and it was a nice touch to our dining experience.

I was seated promptly, hardly no wait at all, and our server was attentive and friendly.

I look forward to my next visit!

Clean, spacious and inviting restaurant. Often on the weekends they have someone playing the piano in the waiting area. Food is delicious and sevice is prompt. Very Berry Pancakes are the bomb, along with the cinnamon toast and harvest chicken salad. Mocha turtle coffee is yummy. My go to breakfast spot these days.

Update: I don't recommend the burrito. Very bland and chicken was dry. My breakfast date notified the waitress and the manager was more than accommodating about it.

Alexander’s cafe is my number one breakfast spot in Elgin, I’ve been coming here every weekend for the past 2 years(which should tell you all you need to know) The staff and food are phenomenal and I’ve never tried something I did not like! 10/10 recommend the breakfast tacos or the biscuit love! And their caramel lattes are out of this world!

We recently moved to the area and Lauralee has been our server twice and she is amazing. Her service is second to none. The manager was going to all the tables checkin on everyone and she genuinely cared about any and all feedback. She gave us good vibes and that she truly enjoyed working there, which always makes me happy to see. Even her staff seems to love working there. One server said he worked at the other location and this one is much better and I could tell he meant it.

The food was amazing. The fresh squeezed OJ, bacon, sausage, and omg those pancakes with the cinnamon butter are nothing short of perfection. I would be interested to try a lunch option here one day but the breakfast is too good. I'm not a big egg person but they have great options if you are. Recently, we tried the biscuits and gravy and that had a good balance of flavor. The hash browns are golden, brown, and delicious as they should be also they are salted perfectly. I hate it when places don't do a little salt and pepper seasoning. It's a must! However, don't you dare skip on those roasted potatoes because they pack some flavor. It's exactly how you want them.

This will be our regular spot and we will ask for Lauralee every time because she is such a sweetheart and a damn good server!

Great brunch place. Well though out menu options for everyone in the family from pancakes to tacos. Great food & Caramel latte is just as delicious.

Food is so good there!! Had a bit of a wait due to it being a busy weekend morning but everything was delicious.

We have been several times to this location and have had nothing but amazing service. The food is also amazing and they have several gluten-free options including toast and pancakes. The portion sizes are also very large. Would definitely recommend to anyone passing by.

*Update: It's become tradition to come here every time I come into town. The food and service is always amazing!

I loved the Greek toast with sesame seeds, had the Mexican omelet with chorizo, boyfriend had the breakfast burrito, fresh strawberry OJ and spicy Bloody Mary. Live piano was a nice touch. Waitress Yesenia was wonderful! We will stop by when traveling through this area!

My wife and I have been going here for some time and love their breakfast. Today, we went and got the Farmers market skillet with Cinnamon Roll French toast.... So good!
Lizzy was out waitress and was awesome!!

Quick and friendly service and AMaZINg breakfast. 3rd time here. First time I got the chicken and waffles which were delish! Second time eggs with bacon, sausage, hash browns and toast. 3rd time I ordered the Chilaquillas. OMG! So delish and soo filling. A little spice so I was happy about that.
