Asahi Korean Restaurant

This was my first time trying Korean, and it was so good!! The restaurant is located toward the end of a small strip mall and has a really cozy, inviting ambiance inside. As I waited for my takeout, I watched the restaurant quickly fill up. I was offered a pretzel snack and tea. The spouse and I ordered the beef bulgogi and chicken bulgogi. Portion sizes were generous and very tasty. We also loved the little sides that came with the meal. We'll definitely be back and will eat inside. I observed the lady running the front of house as she took everyone's orders and served the food. She radiated joy and was incredibly kind.

If i could give 7 stars then i would. Came to celebrate our 8 years anniversary during dinner, food was delicious, the service was superb and very generous.
She surprised us with free dessert and some soju for the anniversary 😊 Thank you eonni, and we will def come back if we visit the town again.

This place is absolutely amazing. The food was so so good and filling. And don't even get me started on the service. The lady was SO SO SO kind and attentive. She checked on us multiple times, always making sure we were happy and situated. We also received free drinks and snacks which was absolutely wonderful. And to be frank, we came very close to closing and were still seated with open arms. I will continue to come back to this restaurant and recommend everyone to do the same.

This was such an amazing meal! This was made with love and over the top satisfaction on the hunger annihilation scale! Fresh flavors and just a delicious meal. I loved eating here.

Outstanding service! Came in on a very hot and humid evening for a quick meal. I was greeted and served by the owner who made sure I had everything I needee: cold punch, barley tea,water, and side dishes.

Food was as good as always. I appreciated the small selection that made it easy to pick.

So, at first glance, I wasn’t sure if this place was open, as the parking lot was empty and the windows are not see-through. Not going to lie, I judged the book by its cover and was blown away. Walked in to a quaint, yet modern atmosphere that I loved the second I walked in.

The waitress was extremely welcoming and hospitable and made me feel like I was a guest at a friend’s family dinner, rather than being at a restaurant. She even inquired if there were any food allergies, which I have very rarely seen. The thing that made this amazing was they genuinely wanted to ensure you had an amazing experience.

I ended up getting the “hot stone bowl” item, which was very good and felt like an experience along with some great taste. Overall great experience, and it’s not very often I write a review like this, prior to leaving to ensure I give them the accolades they deserve. Would recommend. If I could give 6 stars for service, I would.

The service was fantastic with delicious food to match. If you’re visiting or a local, I’d say this is a must visit if you want to try or love Korean food!

I’d describe the space and atmosphere as cozy. The restaurant is run by a woman and her mother, so some patience from the customer is appreciated. Although there was only one person managing the front of house, she did not skip a beat. She greeted every customer, asked about dietary restrictions, served food, kept drinks full, and still made time to make conversation, which I really appreciated.

I rarely give 5 stars but this place was amazing. The food was great. We had the Hot Stone Bibimbap and Fish Soup. Both were as good as (or better than) anything I've ever had in Korea. I think the banchan, soy sauce, and chilli paste are made in house. The lady helping us could not have been more friendly. A very nice experience. I can't wait to go back with more friends. I came here because the reviews raved about this place. We came and we were warmly greeted. They keep the menu concise, the service is amazing, and of course the FOOD was spectacular! I've been disappointed by most Korean places because I've had Korean at authentic restaurants before. This is my new favorite! Last but not least is the care and love they put in what they do. The taste of the food and the warmth from the waitress provides a family like atmosphere. That's an awesome feeling to have in a restaurant setting. So happy to have found it. We'll definitely be coming more!

We could not be more pleased with the service, food, atmosphere and prices. We got the Hot Stone Bibimbap, Kimchi Jjigae and Steamed Dumplings. The complementary tea was plentiful and delicious, we enjoyed it so much we were sent home with some. Every last item was delicious and extremely filling. The portions were big enough for my husband and I to share and soup to take home.

I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while because of the great reviews. Finally went and LOVED it! The staff is incredibly friendly and the food was amazing. Forgot to take a picture before eating because we were enjoying it so much. She brought me a to-go cup of the tea as we were leaving because I had already drank two cups! We will be back soon!

If I could rate this 6 stars I would! This was my first time at Asahi and I loved it, the food was amazing, especially the pork belly, the waitress was so sweet and was so considerate, she even gave us free drinks and snacks and even offered more. Even as the only worker, she still gave us an amazing time.

I can't say enough good things about Asahi! Generally run by a mother-daughter team (mom's cooking, daughter waiting tables), you'd think there were tons of people in the kitchen for how fast the food comes out. And it's delicious! The level of service is unparalleled. Three of us came for dinner. One person got a stomachache midway through the meal due to ongoing medical issues totally unrelated to the food. The waitress immediately noticed and brought him what he said was the best bone broth he's ever had, as well as a 7-Up to help settle his stomach. She noticed how much we liked the tea and brought us to-go cups of it with our check. Our total for three dinners with appetizer was just over $80.
I've been here many times and it's always such a wonderful time. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants anywhere.

There isn’t much to add to what other people have said, but we truly had an amazing time at Asahi from the moment we walked in. Kimberly was truly such a gem. She anticipated our needs, like extra kimchi, and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was so good and provided the home cooked experience for my Korean American husband that he doesn’t get as often as he would like. We are excited to return!

Kimberly was amazing! For a friend and I to both eat. We got appetizers, main course and desert for under 40 in total. The food was amazing. My friend is undecided on if they like Korean food. However, they said that they would happily come back again! Kimberly made us feel like family. Her warm genuine, friendly energy wore off on us. I will deffently make this my go to comfort food.

Best dining experience I have ever had! Food is outstanding, but the service is even better. After traveling and dining all over the world, this unassuming spot will have my girlfriend and I coming back every single time. Literally the sweetest, most attentive and kind server we have ever had, while her mom was in the back cooking us phenomenal authentic Korean food. Can’t say enough great things about this place! Would recommend to everyone and anyone.

I don’t usually write reviews but I felt the need to for Asahi today. I’ve been here two other times with some friends which I should’ve written a review before but today I brought my dad to try it out and so I finally decided to write my review! We were welcomed in by Kimberly and she is just so awesome! My dad is not all too comfortable venturing out to try different restaurants and such but I just so happened to convince him to try out Asahi here and he absolutely loved it. Kimberly was so accommodating and informative on the dishes and my dad was trying out all these different kinds of things which he loved! Every time I’ve been here I felt so welcomed as if I was a part of the family and every time I come here I am always left with a positive experience with laughs and being full! The hot stone bowl is my go to but I might venture out to try more dishes, I will definitely be back and I’m so thankful for Kimberly’s service and being so helpful to us as we dined. Thank you again!

I've been meaning to try this place but everytime I get the chance, they're either closed or about to close. Thankfully, we had enough time to spare and decided to finally try this restaurant. I'm not sure if this is still a Karaoke bar since I didn't see any part that makes it one. But today, when we went, I was underwhelmed at the limited menu at first. Eitherway, they had the soondubu jigae I usually order at different Korean restaurants so that was nice. It was not on the menu but Kimberly mentioned that it was also available. My wife and my friend tried the short rib soup that was also mentioned but not on the menu. Overall, we had a GREAT time. Kimberly is an awesome hostess! The food was also really delicious! We are already planning on coming back!!! We felt really spoiled in this restaurant. This really was a hidden gem!

To note: my wife was actually feeling down but the food and Kimberly's superb, cheerful service lightened her up. Thank you!
