I can’t say enough about how Hollis Smith PA-C has taught me how to take better care of myself, her treatment and decisions have helped me to overcome a very uncomfortable time. She is professional, informative and kind! The nurses are very friendly and good at what they do. The front desk staff are friendly. Than you so much, Hollis!

The surgeon and tech were excellent! My wife was offered to be in the room during the procedure which was cool. I would recommend this place for your vasectomy.

I have to say one of my best medical experiences by far. I wish I could remember everyone’s name but anyone that helped me at this location the day of my surgery was top notch. Everyone was very friendly and made the experience very comfortable. Thank you so much. Love IT and keep IT going

I joined my daughter at her appointment with Janet Reyes, PA-C, and could not be more impressed with her. She was kind, knowledgeable, explained everything in ways that were easy for my daughter to understand, showed compassion, and a desire to help. It was such a refreshing experience in a doctor's office, and I've been to many. My daughter came out feeling better and I felt like she was in good hands. 10/10 would recommend

I had a robotic radical prostatectomy on 1/24/24 by Dr. Unnikrishnan. I found him to be a highly skilled and competent surgeon with superb bedside manners. He met with me and family pre-op and post -op as well as was present when I had my catheter removed a week later and reviewed my pathology report, and any questions we had. When we met with him to discuss my treatment options when my biopsy turned cancerous, he offered in detail my two options-The prostatectomy or daily radiation and possible hormone shots which I did not care to receive. When I had my operation I was expecting to have total urinary incontinence and prepared for that with orders of diapers & bed protectors. Much to my pleasant surprise once I had the catheter out I did not leak any urine, at all. My urinary control was like the day before surgery. I felt the urge to urinate & was able to easily make it to the bathroom. Was this because I did my Kegel exercises, I’m sure this is part of it, I’ll never know but I believe the new technology and my skilled surgeon had much to do with this as well. So much so I’ll be able to return to work 3 weeks earlier than planned. There are a number of small wounds now to my abdomen but they are healing well and have been glued in place those reducing the need for stitches/staples. I strongly recommend this course of treatment if presented to you & if you can to request Dr. Unnikrishnan, as I did not get to choose him as he was assigned to me for which I am very grateful. I had 2 biopsies with Dr. Kwong whom I also felt is an excellent MD also with excellent bedside manner. I have been a Registered Nurse for many years and this is the 1st time I have been seriously I’ll and am glad I have entrusted Dr. Unnikrishnan and his team with my care.

First, I think it is great to be able to check in on line before my appointment. I never have a long wait time before being called . The staff is always friendly and explains the treatment I am having at my appointment. My doctor, Dr. Martin, is always interested in how I am doing in all aspects of my life in addition to my health condition.
I always feel like a valued person with the care shown to me from everyone there.

The appointment reminders and ability to register online was very helpful saving time from having to register on site. The health visit went very well. The front office staff were welcoming and courteous when giving information. During the doctor visit, discussing reports, health issue and prevention measures were thorough. The only downside was the wait to be seen, however, that could have been due to a late scheduled appointment. So, my next appointment was scheduled in the morning.

Excellent prompt pleasant. Diamond was very sensitive to my needs and helpful. She was aware that I wore hearing aids and she spoke so I could understand her. I felt exceptionally comfortable. Thank you Diamond

My last visit was a blood draw for my follow up later this week. I was called within 2 minutes of checking in. The staff was pleasant and professional. My veins are difficult to find. The tech found a vein on the first attempt and I barely felt the stick.

Shirley Kent is awesome. She explains things very well, documents all the exercises for home, and created a personal plan. Cannot tell you how much I appreciate her, Sarah Hobbs, and the whole group for that matter.

Dr. Valerie did an outstanding job and one of the best nurse practitioners that I’ve ever deal with.Urology of Virginia Should be proud to have her on the team. And the receptionist another outstanding job. She was real informative and directed me to the right place at the right time. Great attitude everybody there

My therapist was wonderful. She explained how my body works and why I’m having issues. Unfortunately, I have to cancel my next appointment. I tried to reschedule but didn’t get a return call so I just canceled it completely via the answering service.

I can only comment on the services I have received from Dr. Given and his staff. Appointments are always on time (if you fill out the online questionnaire). I have had numerous surgeries by Dr. Given over the last 8 years, prostate cancer and now kidney cancer. He is a godsend. His entire staff, Nikki, Kaleigh and all the nurses do an exceptional job. They are thoughtful and caring of my physical and mental wellbeing.

I was pleased at the less wait time to see someone. It was also nice to see that my practitioner was well prepared for my visit and was able to address key questions I posed. It appears their new office arrangement is producing better patient results.

Doctor Noel is a fantastic physician. She took time out to explain and answered all of my questions in detail, where I could completely understand what was occurring. I appreciate her professional guidance and skills. She is indeed an asset to the Urology of Virginia, Thank you, Doctor, Noel. I also want to thank Doctor Langston, who diagnosed my medical condition. My health is much better now, and I thank God for leading me to this great medical practice, The Urology of Virginia

Clean and organized facility. Staff was very professional and courteous. DR and nursing staff were prompt and professional. DR explained procedures and care at a level that I could understand and ensured could make informed decisions. Definitely recommend this facility.

Having cancer is not fun. The thoughts of facing one's mortality can be downright scary! The Professionals at Urology of Virginia have proven to be caring, informative, and have always kept my best interests in mind. Having been a patient for over ten years now I feel they are on the cutting edge of technology and offer the best care for their patients. I strongly recommend they're services and care.

I was greeted by a very friendly person at the door and then in answer to my question was politely directed to the correct floor and area of the building. The medical staff and caregiver were personable and knowledgeable. I had a positive experience.
