Food Lion

Food Lion is beautifully kept, and the parking lot is kept free of shopping carts left behind by customers who don't utilize the cart corrals. The employees are extremely pleasant and helpful. This is a stand out Food Lion store, not all Food Lions meet these standards.

I live on the eastern shore while there is a Food Lion near, this store when I find myself in Virginia Beach is the location I prefer to shop at.
Well inventoried, fresh produce and meats, friendly, professional and attentive staff.

We ordered fried chicken for 4th of July, it was hot and ready at the pickup time. The chicken was delicious and the hit of the 4th of July party. Thanks Food Lion for making America's birthday extra special.

Very clean store and friendly helpful staff. Well managed having the feel of new store. This is my opinion; due to the location its less traveled having stock on items that other stores sell out quickly. No wait lines during off peek hours. I pass two other stores that are closer to my home to get to this one. This has got to be the best food lion store in the tidewater area

Pretty good selection and friendly staff. This location provides a great alternative to the Kroger down the street. We always make sure to check for sales here before heading anywhere else.

That said, I would not recommend buying anything from the bakery unless you plan on eating it within 24 hours. We had onion rolls and hoagies get completely covered in mold two days after purchase; which also happened to be the “sell by date.” Speaks to the lack of preservatives they use, so maybe not a bad thing; but just a word of warning.

As a person with mild autism, I like coming here because I don't have to deal with a lot of sensory overload like I would oftentimes have to in places like Wal-Mart. They had those #2.50-$3 Jose Ole fiesta chicken bowls up until about six months and I really miss them...they keep on top of their stock as a whole very well though. All of the staff there are nice and engaging...Dawn's the sweetest person you could hope to meet.

ALL the staff we've encountered in our (several visits per week in the last 2 years,) have been consistently friendly and supportive. Not only to myself, my adult family and friends... but most importantly to my 'not so adult' children. Employees have gone above and beyond, becoming much like 'buddies' to my children. I can truly say I rest easily with my decision for them and I to shop there for that reason especially, but no, not alone. The assurance of quick and sufficient service has always been a plus, keeping our persistant return an absolute must. We do appreciate thank you Food Lion for all your hard work and for the nature of your employees!

This food lion still wasn't great with customer service. However, it was very clean and well stocked.

This particular food lion is awesome. It's a personal preference. No big top bs. Just a straight up little grocery store with that old school grocery store vibe. Not the biggest, not the best. But I don't go here to get my prescriptions filled so its no big deal to me. Everyone here is friendly and eager to help. Always a good deal to be had in the meat department. Its right next to a Navy Federal and a taco bell. This place gets 5 stars. They deliver the friendly faces and personal service you are looking for

Very good customer service! I had a large order and the manager noticed me standing in one of the 2 open lines for checkout. He told me to move to another register which he opened up and started checking me out while the assistant manager came over and started bagging. Once complete the manager pushed the second cart out to my truck (Required another cart once bagged. I said it was a large order! ) I tried to give him a tip for the exceptional service and he refused to take it even after me strongly insisting.

Easy to get to. Easy to get out. Located in a shopping center. Clean parking lot. Store was very clean. Employees were helpful and very nice.

Favorite food lion in the area! I drive from ocean view to go to this one. Today, they had a problem with some coolers, and had some groceries in the back. I couldn’t find bacon, and stopped someone who works there to ask where it was. He explained the cooler issue, and went to the back to find some for me. He came back with several different brands and cuts for me to choose from. I’m kicking myself for not catching his name, because he deserves recognition for excellent customer service

This is a great local food store where the customers are happy and always get a pleasurable experience. The prices are the best part. Thank you food lion, I will be back!

I love this Food Lion because it's never super busy. I'm sure management would prefer otherwise, but I'll go this Food Lion over Kroger any time because I know it's not going to be crowded which makes it stress-free shopping

I just wanted to share that I Always have a great experience at this location.
The place is spotless, The prices are great !
Hardly ever any lines , Parking is good and it's a comfortable place for me to shop.
There's also a NFCU next door. An SPCA Thrift shop, a Hair Salon , a Vape Shop, a Chinese Restraunt, a nail place and a Barber In the strip mall.
