Rite Aid

I have been very pleased with this Rite Aid and their pharmacy. They have been helpful and supportive. Today, I brought in some GoodRx coupons because my insurance company did not pay very well for my prescriptions, and the pharmacist kindly recalculated what I owed and saved me about $180 in the process. I like doing business here and will continue to make this my pharmacy of choice.

I will drive half-way across town for this amazing pharmacy. The staff is always extremely kind, helpful, and do everything in their power to make sure you have a positive experience.

I had a question about drug interactions (allergy medication i.e. Claritin and Benadryl). I called and spoke with the pharmacist, Riley I believe was her name, and she was so kind.

I was annoying and I asked her probably three or four questions and she was so kind and reassured me that I was not bother her. She really seemed happy to help me.

I went here for my covid vaccine and it was so fast and efficient. I was a few minutes before my appointment time and there was no wait and the person performing the shot was efficient and helpful.

Randy is an amazing pharmacist!! He has gone above and beyond to help me more than once and I will fill all my prescriptions here because of his wonderful service!!

Trying their hardest to make it work

Use to be great, but has went downhill the last few months. I was told there was a 5 day wait to get a prescription filled at one point. They don’t answer the phone, I never get a text when it is ready. I think they need a lot more staff, always busy when I go in. They aren’t just slacking off. The company needs to fix it.

Initially I switched to this location because of their efficiency,friendliness and their supply.Over the past moth the efficiency has gotten worse and worse.My doctor put in an rx on Thursday.I went in to check Friday around 4pm and was told it would be 7pm.7pm came and went.Saturday I called all day,no answer.Sunday morning no answer.I finally went in store around noon and I will say they got it ready for me in 15 mins.For those who call and get no answer just go in store

I had good experiences with this location in the past, but I was disappointed in their response to dispensing the opioid- reversing drug, known as Narcan. Virginia has issued a statewide "standing order" which requires all pharmacies (that carry the drug) to dispense it without a doctor's prescription. When I asked if they carry the medication they responded "Yes. But we can only give it to you if you have a Perscription- or in case of emergency 'like if there's a person in your car currently overdosing'"

If you have a friend or family member that struggles with addiction you know that getting the necessary resources to help can be difficult, and this response was not only ignorant, but incorrect in terms of the VA standing order. I realize it was likely not the woman's fault who gave me that information, but more VA pharmacies need to understand the rules on dispensing this medication as it contributes to how difficult and discouraging it can be for the average person to get naloxone despite the state's efforts to make it easier to obtain.
