Such a cool little record, games and movie store. Came here to check out the records and did not leave empty handed. Their selection was pretty good. They also have stickers!!

I love love LOVE Spin Cycle. There is always excellent music playing. Trading and selling with them is always a joy and so so easy and honest. They also of course have a great selection of records.

Loved it! My first time visit and I was so happy they were there (after the closing of so many stores this last year's time). I bought some movies on disc. Great selection of those! Not too many games. Tons of records (don't forget to go down the stairs and see more records & R2D2). A very "Seattle, neighborhood store" feel. I highly recommend a visit!

Went there to sell some CDs. Cashier was professional and courteous. Said that staff would probably not be able to get to them until the next day. Given the time of day being close to closing time and the amount I brought, I understood. I called the next morning and the employee on the line said it would be more than likely after 4:00 pm when someone would be able to have a look at the items. They called at 5:00 p,m. I went in. Everything went smoothly. The experience was an idea for the type employee/customer experience I'd enjoy anywhere I would visit. That was however tne extent of my visit.

I recently picked up a Stevie Wonder Fulfillingness First Finale record solely based on an employee recommendation and it’s my new favorite vinyl, I’ve been playing it non-stop. Thank goodness for the person with great taste, sorry I didn’t remember your name. You’ve made my week!

Love this record store -- carefully curated with a great selection of well priced old and new vinyl. Sections of local artists as well in a number of popular music genres from jazz to rap to metal.

Dangerous! Solid selection of music, movies, and video games with super reasonable prices. I went in while my wife was shopping at Crossroads and I had to stop myself before I did too much damage! Could've easily walked out with a couple stuffed bags. Very friendly staff, too. As if Capitol Hill wasn't already charming enough... will definitely pop in again next time we're in the city!

Shop local! So glad to see they have recovered from the unfortunate flooding. Great prices and selection.

don’t let the size of this shop fool you - they have the most comprehensive collection out of all the seattle record stores i’ve been to! they manage to always have a good balance of niche and mainstream artists and keep everything in stock.

ohhhhh the things to say about spin cycle!!! hands down my favorite record/game/movie store in seattle! i'm here at least twice a week and it's always the highlight of my day!
their selection is some of the best in the city and they def do their best to make sure everything's valued properly, yet affordably. excellent and constant influx of movies, equally substantial array of music, and a solid, hearty choice of games. my only gripe with this is that i'd love to see more og xbox games come in, but that's no fault of the store.
to talk about the employees is to talk about some of the kindest and most interesting people you'll meet or talk to on the hill--each has a vast and informed knowledge of what they've got in stock and are generous with suggesting similar things or offering entirely new ideas.
it's always a pleasure to stop in, and you're sure to find some new additions to your media collections if you take a look around :)

Positive: Loved the energy, the ability to say no to someone with such firmness and stand by your policy was honestly admirable. Loved the selection and cozy feel of the store. Loved the passion of making sure fans got what they came for and everyone got a selection. Will definitely be back. Forgot to grab a few vinyl's while I was in there. It's so so so cute! Had a great time with my friends. Great movie selection. Great cassette collection.

Negative: Didn't think I was a real Swiftie just because I wanted to snag an extra vinyl for my friend who couldn't be there. Yes, it was RSD, so I totally understand, just didn't love him accusing me of not being a fan right after. Also, told my friend he didn't look like a Taylor fan...What the heck is a Taylor fan supposed to look like? (Not mad about the RSD, just the comment to me and my friend). But if that's the only negative thing that happened there, its not a bad place to shop. It's so cute and you should all check it out.

I originally left a negative review due to a price on a game being misquoted when I called before coming in and being different when I showed up later that same day, but they responded with a straightforward apology and offered to make it right. After going through other reviews and seeing that it wasn't a pattern, it seemed like a genuine mistake. Super friendly staff and a nice place with a cool vibe and fair trade in values. @SpinCycle No refund or anything needed, like I said in the original post it was only $10, and I'm happy to support local game stores! Thanks for offering to make it right though, it was the principle that mattered!

I found some rare12” remixes that are out of print. The sales guy was very helpful and gave me a referral to ZionGate.
My overall experience was exceptionally good. It went above and beyond and I encourage everyone to visit the store (not just for the record bins)and boost their online shopping . A larger social media platform is needed here

Fun selection of vintage video games and vinyl. Enthusiastic staff is worth it to query for advice or favorites. A good place to buy, and a fair place to sell. On my most recent visit, two different times I gasped audibly as I found records I've been looking for, but had no actual hope of finding in the wild. Both priced VERY well.

Been my favorite Seattle based record store since day one of it opening. I can’t think of a better place in town to buy tapes or movies and the video game and record selections are pretty good, too. The prices are undoubtedly the best in town and even trading in here gets you more than anywhere else. The biggest reason to go here would be the staff though because they only seem to hire people with great personalities that will usually cut you a deal if you’re working within a budget. I hope this place lasts forever.
