We stopped here briefly during our day trip to Kitty Hawk, Nags Head, & The Outer Banks on September 1, 2022. We had been visiting relatives in North Carolina - from Topeka, KS.
This facility was very clean. The woman I spoke to was very helpful. The parking area was adequate, too.
We visited the Century of Flight Monument that was nearby. It was a great display of our country's air history.

This is a must visit rest area. Great, clean restrooms. Inviting gift shop, with knowledgeable staff.

The 1000 lb fish is awe inspiring, and the Flight memorial is amazing to see.

I've always enjoyed the stories of the Wright Brothers. I recommend visiting as this place does a great job brining to life.

Last weeeknd it was 120 year anneversary of the first flight. Two WWII Beech Aircraft flew over the monument. It was really great to see.

The Visitor's Bureau is worth a visit. They have lists of public beach accesses with showers and toilets and that was a game changer for our vacation. The memorial is fun to take photos at. And of course, as any rest area, there are ample toilets in which to relieve oneself.

The visitors bureau is a great entry point into the Outer Banks. Conveniently located with warm, welcoming staff and tons of brochures categorically labeled by interest (food, activities, etc.), this place scores for its informational and scenic value.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff with lots of stories to tell. They have all kinds of brochures with information about where to go, what to do while visiting and even has a coupon book to help save money while you're there on restaurants and things to do! Very clean too!!

We stopped to take advantage of the restrooms, which were very clean. But if you need any information on restaurants, hotels or activities during your stay, this is your place. We were greeted as we entered and offered assistance.

Convenient stop as you get to the Outer Banks. There's a cool monument to flight here as well that gives you a good chance to get out ofnthe car and stretch your legs. The visitor center has great local information as well. I recommend parking on the back side to avoid the stairs younhave to climb up and down if you take one of the first few parking spaces. Around the back has a level path for entry and you have to drive that way to exit anyhow.

Nice little rest stop after a long drive and you're finally across the inlet. Lots of food all around. Nice, clean modern facilities, beverage machine, flyers for events on OBX. Nice areas to sit a spell with a gift shop across from the rest rooms.

It's hard to describe how nice everyone here is. All the ladies working today talked to us and told us about different things that are happening and gave us kid friendly tips for different places. Very clean restrooms as well!
