We love Escape rooms and always try to get one in on vacation! Let me tell you... this place was amazing as soon as you walked thru the door! Enthusiastic young staff! We did the Blind Tiger Speak Easy, which has quite a high difficulty level. I paid no attention to that when booking. The room was GORGEOUS! One of the most well appointed in any Escape rooms we've done! The puzzles were top notch! SO FUN! We came right down to the last clue and lost! But such a wonderful room! Definitely recommend this fine establishment! Thank you to our Game Master and all the staff for an AWESOME afternoon!

OBXcape has been a staple of our annual vacations. You will not regret going to this establishment. It's not a room you escape but an experience, Each game I've played has been multiple rooms with special lighting and sound effects fitting the theme, the owners go so far as to even give us prison jumpsuits to wear in CellBlock!. The guides are wonderful (special shout out to Zaniyah!). They follow your progress and will let you know if you are spending too much time going down the wrong path so you can pivot your play without actually giving a hint. The puzzles are varied and just the right level of challenging.

We had a great time playing Cell Block 4. There were six of us playing, all adults. We did not beat the clock but the puzzles were awesome and challenging. Pierce was great with helping us figure out some things. Highly recommended!

Very exciting, challenging and scary!
The staff was very helpful and clear 😸😸especially josh. Josh is definitely the best employee i have ever interacted with. He made the mystery very fun and scary. josh is new but is already amazing, he is strong hearted and has an incredible sense of humor, as well as great communication skills. The staff is very helpful and kind including Ali and Chase. The lady greeting at the front was really nice and welcoming. The suspense and atmosphere is really well put together especially when Josh spoke to us. they had the room ready quick, there was no wait and we got right down to business with Josh’s help. Over all a 100/10 experience and I would recommend it to anyone in the Outer Banks.

Awesome escape room! We did the Mutiny on the Lark, super challenging but fun the whole time. Our host Kyla did an amazing job of pushing us in the right direction without giving away any secrets. Starting our whole team off in shackles was a crazy twist! I've done quite a few escape rooms and none of them ever made me feel like I was really a character in the story like this one did. Super immersive, well designed, great props, great puzzles, and overall a ton of fun. I wouldn't try this one unless you've already got a few under your belt, but if you're looking for a real challenge you've come to the right place. Good luck!

Exceptional escape room. My family and I have done at least a dozen escape rooms, and these are top tier. We conquered "Mutiny on the Lark," and it was a totally immersive experience from the sets, the puzzles, and even the background noises/music. The puzzles were well thought out but also challenging in the best way possible. We all had so much fun we booked "Raptor Revenge" for the following day as soon as we left. Highly recommend this escape room!

We loved our experience! So much fun and Megan was an exceptional in room guide. She was quick to respond to our questions and requests for clues but also let us figure it out as a team. We’ll definitely recommend OBXscape rooms to friends!

OMG! SO MUCH FUN! My family and I did the cell block escape and we had a blast! It was our first ever escape room experience and we couldn’t have asked for anything better! It was difficult, but they have just the right clues help us without taking away from the challenge. Ivan, our guide was so awesome. He did a great job explaining everything to us and made sure we had an amazing time! I wanted to go back immediately and do it again! Couldn’t recommend more!

We had such a great time the first time we visited OBXscape Rooms that we decided to go again and try a new room. We were a group of three but wanted to try Cell Block 4 which requires 4 people, so we requested an In Room Game Guide and it was a great experience! Our guide Abby gave us just enough support and clues only when requested. I think we had more fun this time with the In Room Game Guide than we did last time on our own! Highly recommend!

I think this is the best run escape room I've been to. We completed the prison cell game with 5 teenagers. Everyone had a good time. The escape room set and detail was top notch, really felt like we were in a jail. Really great puzzles, but they put a lot of attention to detail on this.

On vacation and was looking for something fun to do. So glad we came across this place. We all had a great time!! Shout out to Allison and Rory who did a fantastic job. So friendly and accommodating when we were running very late for the last time slot of the night. We didn't feel rushed and they still took the time at the end to answer questions and explain what we missed. Was nice that it was baby friendly since we are from out of town so didnt have a babysitter. Def. Will come back next year.

Amazing escape room experience! We had Megan as our in-room escape guide, and she was terrific at anticipating how best to guide us during the room. The puzzles were fun and unique, and overall an entertaining and super fun experience!

We had a blast entire family...14 of us from all generations did the cell block escape! Was a great time... We made it out with 27 seconds left on the clock

A rainy day in OBX turned out to be the absolute best experience and highlight of our trip! Highly recommend you try the virtual reality escape room-Escape the Lost Pyramid! We were a group of 2 adults and 2 12 year olds who were beginners to virtual reality and escape rooms. Chase was great at explaining how everything worked. We left all unanimously agreeing that escape rooms are next level fun with VR! Highly recommend!

Best escape room I’ve been to . A family owned operation, so much attention to detail. The owner actually greeted us and was very accommodating. Her son, Pierce, helped us out and he was awesome!! Def recommend this place. (We had two adults and two boys ages 11 and 12. We went into the Raptor room which was great but perhaps a bit advanced for their age group) will try “meltdown room” next time.

We love this place! We come back every time we are in town. The rooms are epic. Very well done. Professional. Highest quality. Storytelling is great. You will enjoy this experience

We had a group of 7 and attempted Rest in Peace. The design, art, props, puzzles were all terrific! Our guide was attentive and very helpful! Although we ran out of time it was a very enjoyable experience! I recommend OBX Escape rooms!

We did two escape rooms this week! The Raptor Revenge and Cell Block 4. While we preferred the cell block (less difficult for a group of 4) both were a lot of fun! Our game masters were both incredible and funny! I would highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

Allie and Erica made our experience so great!! They were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable but excited right from the start. The escape room was challenging and fun.

We have done 5 different games while here on vacation. Each one has been so much fun! I highly recommend checking out this place. The owners are very dedicated and you can tell that this is their passion! The staff was also fantastic! Shot out to Michael, Alyssa, Pierce and Jack! Will definitely come back next year to see the updates and play the ones we haven’t played yet!
