Haven't been there in a while. Many selections. Staff friendly & helpful. Store clean & well organized. Great experience!!

We have always loved Food Lion.
We used to have one in our neighborhood in East York, PA and we miss it.
They always had the best and freshest produce, meats, and their own Food Lion products and frozen vegetables, in my opinion are better than the brand names.
We right now are in the Outer Banks and did some grocery shopping to take things home we can't get up our way anymore, because they moved out of PA. I wish you were still there!

Honestly the bathrooms alone make this a five star review. Cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen in a grocery store. It was to the point that a thought crossed my mind if food would drop on the glossy floors that I would dare to give it a second chance and have a date with my mouth.

Always a well stocked store. Although in season it can be sparse in some sale items. The store is neat, tidy and clean. The workers are pleasant and helpful.

I tried this place a few times while on vacation. I'm from just outside of Boston, so I had never heard of the chain before. Like most grocery stores, they had pretty much everything I needed, along with a nice bakery section. They're pricing seemed lower than everyone else they were near, and were significantly lower when compared to prices near Boston.

I don’t think I ever thought I’d feel so called to leave a review of a grocery store. I stopped in this morning on my day off to see if I could swap something out from an Instacart order a couple of days ago not expecting much, wasn’t even sure if they’d let me swap it. Well to start every single employee I interacted with was so kind and helpful. Shout out to the ladies at the customer service counter and the funny girl behind the deli counter, but especially to William who I assume is the store manager. He overheard me explaining what was going on and went out of his way to correct my situation, and did so much more for me than I would have expected. Again, I’ve never felt called to leave a review just for my local grocery store, but everyone that helped me was great and went above and beyond. Probably top 3 customer experiences of all time for me. I go here regularly anyways, but I feel even better about it now knowing who my business supports. And shout out to the girl who complimented my hat otw out too. Y’all all rock.

Probably the nicest Food Lion I have been in. It is clean and well stocked! I was surprised to find everything on my list in one store. It usually takes me at least 2 stores to get all that I need! The only down side is the store is organized in a way that doesn't makes much sense to me. However, the staff is very helpful and points me in the right direction when needed.

Store Manager Kaitlyn (Katie) is just THE BEST!!! She went above and beyond to help this regular customer get what she wanted, never getting frustrated or annoyed with my repeated requests, as many people would have. This is one very happy camper here! ❤

Went late at night,very clean stocked and the workers were very helpful and polite.the fruits fresh and crisp..meats lasted so good wasn't fatty at all or tough...

Clean store! Fast checkout. Love the Giant Snoop Dog bobble head on the cold beer cases. Wish I took a pic of it, was rushing today. I'll get one next visit.

Just had to put my 2 cents in and say this Food Lion is the best one I have shopped in in years. The store is always clean and the employees are always very nice, helpful and ready to do whatever you ask or need. I have had many interactions with the employees and always had a terrific experience. When I have trouble finding something , there is always someone ready willing and able to help me locate whatever it is in a hurry. I have also had the pleasant experience of having employees help with outside tasks such as propane exchange and curb side pick-up and not only are they prompt and polite but always ready to help. I do not work there, or have any relatives there or any connection to this Food Lion. I just wanted to spread the word that these people are stellar and I appreciate them in every way.

This is a really nice Food Lion. The store is always clean and well stocked. There is usually plenty of cashiers so checkout doesn't take forever. I was there one day and a storm came up and it was pouring. The staff were waiting at the door with large golf umbrellas wearing bright yellow ponchos waiting to help everyone to their card. I was amazed at this gesture and thought that ot was reminiscent of a five star hotel.

I'm at the checkout line at Food Lion Southern Shores, the young kid in front of me works for Food Lion (he was in work clothes and name tag Cameron) and was buying something as well noticed the old Navy ball cap that I was wearing and asked me if I had been in the Navy. I said yes and he smiled broadly and told me that his grandfather had also been in the Navy. "What did he do?" I asked. He proudly answered that his grandpa had been a pilot. I told him that the next time that he saw his grandpa, to give him a big hug and thank him for his service. He smiled broadly once again and said that he would, and started to walk away. He suddenly turned around, thanked me for my service and asked if he could pay for my groceries. I was touched. This minimum wage earner, a grocery stock boy, probably 18 or 19, wanted to pay for my groceries. I thanked him profusely, and declined, and he thanked me again and walked away. The biggest gift that this kid gave me was to rekindle in my soul the faith in people, good people, who make up most of our neighbors and strangers whom we cross paths all over, and in supermarket lines. A mom and dad, and maybe even a grandpa, raised a really good man in this Food Lion stock boy. He filled my bucket tonight.

The largest and nicest Food Lion store that I have ever been in.
Used to mostly go to the Walmart across 158. Now...unless we need some non- food type items, we will always grocery shop at this FL.
All workers are extremely polite and friendly...
Their fresh vegetables are in an amazing variety.
In short , much better place to shop for food !
Would like to take this store back to VA with us...

I used their Food to go option today. It was very easy and the people working there helped me through the process. Mary put my order together. She did a fantastic job. The order was completed perfectly, even with some substitutes. It was a great experience.

This is the grocery store to go to in Kitty Hawk and Southern Shores area. I'm done with he Walmart across the street. For the small savings $$ wise, it's not worth the crowds and the lousy workers at WM. Food Lion is a much higher quality store, less crowded and a much friendlier staff. If you use their app and do the Shop and Earn, you can win nice bonuses too.

I would like to compliment Bob in the produce dept. When we were shopping Sunday morning he helped us find what we were looking for, and went to the back get additional packages of shredded lettuce because that section was empty. Appreciate his friendliness and positive attitude.

The staff were so nice! The store is clean and easy to get in and out of. Avoid shopping here Saturday and Sunday afternoon-evenings as this is when the vacation renters arrive to town and shop for their groceries. But do shop here over Walmart! Their prices are great! If you shop, go in the morning of Sunday or Saturday. Locals try to get their shopping completed by Thursday to avoid check in/out days of vacationers. Their store is organized in a way that makes shopping easy. They also have a section that is fun OBX and beach items.
