Cottages of Flatrock

Beautiful one and two bedroom historic cottages arranged around a central court with lovely gardens and a gazebo. On-site management and laundry facilities, ample parking and pet friendly. Each cottage in nicely furnished and appointed with full kitchens, stainless steel appliances and updated baths, as well as a screened-in porch. Outdoor grills are also available for the perfect picnic and the cottages are conveniently located to everything that Flat Rock and Hendersonville have to offer.

While looking for a forever home I stayed at The Cottages of Flat Rock for 2 months. I don’t write many reviews but my stay was so wonderful I wanted to offer my opinion. The cottage I stayed in (#7) was so cozy and the setting was very peaceful. The owner Tim and onsite manager Keith were extremely courteous and responsive to questions I had. They do a great job maintaining the property. Lots of flowering trees, bushes and mature hardwoods. The location is very central to downtown Hendersonville, close to Dupont State Park and The Carl Sandburg Home. I highly recommend this place!!!!!!

Wonderful Experience! Beautiful Property. Extremely friendly owners and managers - willing to help/advise on anything we needed during stay. Close enough for day trips to Asheville and great outdoor activities nearby. Cottages are quaint, cozy and clean with your own screen porch and all utensils/cookware you would need and cheaper than hotel options nearby! Highly Recommend!!

A wonderful experience, very comfortable and enjoyable stay with beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees to enjoy, comfy cottages all with screened in porches. Close to downtown Hendersonville and a great park close by for walking and enjoying the outdoors. The owners and manager are very friendly and helpful, but not intrusive and value people's desire for privacy. I would highly recommend The Cottages of Flat Rock for short or long term rentals...I'm very happy someone suggested it for me.

My wife and I decided to take a relaxing vacation to the mountains of North Carolina. Both of us being from Florida and around flat ground for the majority of our lives, we were looking for something a little different than we were used to. Something a little more scenic, and a little less busy. We contacted Tim Robison, the owner of The Cottages of Flatrock. He was able to tell us about Hendersonville and some of the other cities that were nearby. He told us about the cottages and some of the local dining. The cottages had kitchens with all the equipment we would have needed, but we weren't on vacation to cook. Once we arrived, we were greeted and handed keys to our private cottage. It was our rally point when we weren't out getting lost in the scenery and driving across mountains. Our vacation was great, picking up little things here and there. By the time we left, we had started to decorate with our various findings from near and far. We packed up our things, and said goodbye to our comfortable little cottage in the mountains. I doubt we'll ever own a little cottage of our own tucked away in the countryside, but as long as The Cottages of Flatrock stand, We'll always have a home away from home.

Great place to stay, nice and easy community feeling. Stayed for several months and everything was clean, quiet and well maintained. Stayed warm and cozy during the snow too.

Low key. Small and very clean. A throw back toma different time. Great service and very friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.
