House of Bread

Love this place! Walked in to the glorious site of pumpkin cookies. One of my favorites from here. My husband and I split 2 sandwiches, the BBQ beef and cheddar and the Extra cheesy grilled ham and cheese. Got our own cookies because they are too good to share haha We will be back soon

My only disappointment with this amazing place is that by the time I get there late in the afternoon all the Oatmeal raisin cookies are always gone. I had always avoided oatmeal raisin before this place. Someone brought them into work one time though and I gave them a go. They were the plumpest and most moist cookies I have ever had. My dear co-worker is lucky enough to live very close by and be a regular customer. Thankfully she brings me a fix every now and then.

The bread of course is wonderful as well. I am from the old world and fresh baked bread daily is how I was raises. The smell of fresh baked goods is mesmerizing.

I had the absolute BEST sandwich there. I had the spicy chicken bacon ranch and it was AMAZING. Just wanted to drop a review here because it was awesome. The sweets and breads of course are amazing but that sandwich rocked today! Definitely try it out!

Stopped in for the first time today and picked up a small loaf of Gluten Free Chocolate Zucchini bread. I wish I could rate this 10 stars! Moist, flavorful and choclatey. If you wouldn’t have told me this was gluten free I never would have known. My birthday is coming up and I will be getting a large loaf as my birthday cake!

On a cold day (12 degrees), I grabbed some breakfast sandwiches and cinnamon rolls for my family and ordered some fresh sourdough bread to be picked up later. The staff was friendly and made everyone feel welcome. The food was great and bread made some wonderful frilled cheese later. I highly recommend you stop in. It is worth every dollar!

Went in today to pick up a Too Good To Go Surprise Box and give this place a try. I'd driven by and wanted to try it but never got around to it.

The place is so cute inside, the staff are super nice and, most importantly, the food is excellent! I will definitely come back.

Everything was delicious and so fresh. I got a sandwich and the soup of the day, I don’t normally like broccoli cheese soup, but man, theirs was amazing!! They also offered me a sample of some of the bread that they were offering today, I chose the fresh out of the oven, apple bread. Let’s just say I didn’t leave with out a large still hot from the oven loaf of that apple. Dessert here I come!! Definitely a must try!!

The only negative thing I have to comment on is the House of Bread is only 5 minutes from my home, so I am guaranteed not to lose and weight. Lol
I so love the House of Bread. It was such a wonderful experience. The service was fast and courteous. The food and Bread were simply amazing and the feel the establishment gives you makes you want to go back everyday:)

Great experience so far!! I love the set up of the bakery as you can see all of the bread making equipment. Good variety of breads, pastries, jams, and spreads. They also make sandwiches with some of their signature bread. I didn't try a sandwich on my visit but will definitely be coming back to try it. I also loved the fact that they had a French toast recipe for their apple cinnamon swirl bread, which I decided to try and it turned out great!

I recently visited and was thoroughly impressed by the extensive selection of breads, baked goods, and gifts available. The service was exceptional, both professional and warm. The quality of the food and coffee was remarkable, contributing to an overall delightful experience. I am looking forward to my next visit!

Seriously though the cookies are to die for from the ever chewy and delicious oatmeal raisin cookie to the crunchy deliciouness of the white chocolate cranberry cookies. The sandwiches are great as well. Only downside is trying to figure out how to bicycle more so I can eat more! Also the cinnamon rolls are great too.

Wonderful bakery/cafe with delightful treats and sandwiches! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. The facility is clean and has a sense of comfort to it!

As for the sandwiches, we had the HoB Club and the Tuscan Chicken. Both were phenomena on the sourdough bread! We will for sure be back!

This place is awesome! Lots of delicious pastries, breads, sauces, etc. They make things by hand. Go, check it out!

I picked up 3 gluten free loaves today. Their customer service was amazing. They answered all my questions and went above and beyond to help me. I’ve only tried one so far, the garden herb, and its soft and delicious! SOOO much better than the normal store bought stuff. I'll only be getting my bread here from now on. 10 out 10! Definitely recommend.

I’m a king cake snob from New Orleans and this was one of the best kings cakes. Sooo goood!

I really enjoy this establishment, i only get to enjoy it when I'm in town but I make it a point to go there when I'm down there. The baked goods are great. The cookies, the cinnamon rolls and the coffee is even good. Wish they had a few more locations but I'm sure they will expand soon enough.

HOB always has the most incredible gluten free treats! Yesterday I picked up a GF cookie, a chocolate cookie for my daughter and a loaf of keto bread. The young man behind the counter was attentive and helpful. Thank you House of Bread! Pictures are keto grilled cheese and keto French toast we made with the loaf of keto bread.

Our family absolutely loves the House of Bread! We’ve been by a couple of times and each time our experience is even better than the last. First time through we were greeted by the lovely staff and orientated to the menu (there’s a lot of options). We decided to keep it simple so we had a couple of half sandwiches (which were massive. You sure those are halves?), some of the granny white bread and banana nut. Everything was fresh and delicious but our loaf of granny’s white bread was a home run. The texture, smell and taste reminded us a lot of the homemade white bread we only get from my wife’s father. Outstanding!

The second time through we tried their snickerdoodle and chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon roll and challah bread. Like the first time through, everything was just amazing. The snickerdoodle is probably my favorite cookie…ever! Perfect balance of sugar and cinnamon, a bit of crunch on the outside and soft chewy center. Just the way I like it! My wife had the cinnamon roll and she felt it was one of the best she’s had as well…even surpassing her own homemade. Finally the challah bread was wonderful by itself with a smattering of butter but also made for a dynamite hot ham and cheese with Easter leftovers. We definitely are fans of this place and hope you give it try!

I was greeted at this place immediately upon walking in. That in itself was impressive. I was very happy to see that they had all of their loafs un-sliced. After choosing a sourdough loaf I looked around and was intrigued by this ghost pepper jam they had. I decided to buy this as well.

The cashier was incredibly friendly and also the same person who greeted me immediately when I entered. She also offered to slice the bread for me which was really cool. I prefer my bread unsliced as it tends to last a little bit longer that way.

After trying both the bread and the jelly I can say this. The bread is awesome!! I have never had sourdough bread this good in my life! The ghost pepper jelly was amazing as well but be careful as it is very very hot which is exactly what I wanted.

I am an executive chef who works at DFW airport. I give this place 5 stars because not only was it an amazing experience just shopping the store but the bread and jam were literally the best I have ever tasted.

I’ll be back!

We are so lucky to have this amazing business in McKinney. House of Bread always has the most delicious and different types of breads and baked goods. Great spot for lunch! Great customer service too 💜
