The MV Skansonia

Sarah and the rest of the Landmark Event Co staff were incredible to work with! Our wedding day went by without any hiccups, and the boat looked absolutely beautiful all decorated. Would not have changed a single thing - many of our guests said it was the best venue they've ever been to a wedding at and they raved about the food :) Would recommend the Skansonia for anyone looking for a memorable & unique Seattle wedding.

Pretty great wedding venue, with an excellent view of Lake Union.

The MV Skansonia is a beautiful and unique venue. I've photographed weddings and events here and am always happy with the lightning and ambiance. It's dreamy. The staff are kind and helpful and the layout of the space works really well for large groups. All that and I haven't even mentioned the stunning views of downtown Seattle and Lake Union... unbeatable.

Sarah was wonderful to work with! She was always quick to respond as well as send updated paperwork. She made sure everything was ready to go the day of, and was able to get a couple of last-minute things set for us just hours before the event. The MV Skansonia is a gorgeous venue--obviously the view is fantastic, but the layout also made it easy for people to break into groups yet still be around everyone. Food was great and all our guests had a great time. Highly recommend Sarah and MV Skansonia to everyone!

The team at the MV Skansonia was great to work with and put together a great wedding for us. They made the planning process easy by including almost everything you need for the event and offering different packages (we just booked DJ and photographer separately). Everything went smoothly for our wedding. This venue also has one of the best views of Seattle and worked out great - even on our very rainy wedding day. Definitely recommend!

This is a pretty cool venue. Nice views on the water, lots of room. The staff is great, they even got some extra vegetarian food for me at the end.

The staff and facilities at The MV Skansonia were amazing to work with! As a wedding planner, it is so helpful when the venue is well staffed and super on top of things. The views from the bow of the boat are perfect for a stunning Seattle ceremony and the inside space is so unique for both ceremony and reception. The food provided in house was fantastic as well! I can't say enough good things about this venue and the staff!

Great venue with terrific weather and views of the city...

We simply could not have asked for a more special day for our wedding! We worked with Anita, who is very professional, polite and organized. She did a wonderful job making everything very easy on us, and left no details unturned. In addition we chose to get our catering and the cake through the MV Skansonia and both came out excellent. We had everyone compliment us on the incredible food, great cake, but most importantly the gorgeous venue. We lucked out with the beautiful weather and were fortunate with a perfect sunset on the bow. There isn't a more beautiful view in town. We had several meetings leading up to the event allowing us to walk through the process and give us an idea of how beautiful the venue was. However, we weren't prepared for how truly stunning this venue is until the day of our rehearsal, when almost all finishing touches were in place and the details came alight. Anita did great throughout the event taking the initiative and feeling out the event and the mood, ensuring everything flowed appropriately and went beyond what was asked of her at times when she saw an opportunity to make it even more special. We felt the prices were very competitive and are lucky we found this incredible gem of a venue for our wedding day.

The best venue in Seattle! Skansonia is a hidden gem, not only are the views incredible, the space is unique feel that will stand out for all your guests and the staff makes all your dreams come to. My guests were complimenting our wedding for months after it, which proved to me how special it was.

Awesome. Stunning. Gorgeous. Where do I begin? I have been photographing weddings aboard the MV Skansonia for almost 5 years, and I can say that without a doubt the Skansonia is one of the best venues in Seattle. I have worked at over a hundred other venues in the area, and there are very few that even come close to the quality of the Skansonia. The views off the front of the boat make for some of the most breathtaking photos, and the upstairs 'getting ready' area is undeniably adorable. The staff put in above-and-beyond effort to ensure that every bride has a great experience and a truly unique wedding. They are always calm, smiling, and very organized. Every bride and her guests rave about the food. From personal experience, it's incredibly good. I practically fell in love with their butternut squash ravioli and salmon. The buffet is a luxurious experience, and the dining atmosphere is like stepping back in time. They have a beautiful dining area with port holes, hardwood floors, dazzling twinkle lights, and billowing white drapes. I would give the Skansonia 5 huge stars for service, location, food, and experience.

What an awesome place to have our wedding! The day was perfect and we couldn’t have felt more supported than we were with Finni and her team. She did a wonderful job, always willing to help and so patient throughout the whole process. She was extremely accommodating and so helpful throughout the whole day.

The venue was gorgeous and the food and dessert were excellent. We lucked out with beautiful weather and our guests, who were mostly from out of Seattle, couldn’t stop talking about the venue. I highly recommend this venue, and this staff, if you’re looking to get married.

For an old ship that is permanently docked just for private events this biddy is old ship shabby chic charm all the way! The bones of the ship are a perfect canvas that allow for casual to upscale event themed decor. Breathtaking views of Seattle from Lake Union are seen from the second floor parlor with wrap around deck or the large outside deck that extends from the ship as part of the dock. The bar is central in the ship allowing drinks to be ordered from all sides of the first floor. Delicious popular appetizers and varying menu items are held and prepared in an equipped galley sized kitchen. It was a joy to be part of an event held on this MV Scansonia.

My husband and I absolutely loved the venue. It has a gorgeous view of the Seattle City Skyline, but even better than that, is the day of coordinator. Vicki was very helpful in taking over the day. She kept the party on track! Furthermore, it is basically an "all in one" venue. Decorations, food (which was absolutely delicious!), silverware etc. can be provided. Highly recommend.

What can I say.... MV Skansonia was a perfect venue for our wedding. Its been 7 months since our wedding, but better late than never. We did not have a big guest list, but the venue was perfect for a celebration during the COVID times. Ruby and Finni were amazing during the process of planning. Both me and my fiance are laidback and did not want to overthink every little detail, but we were blessed by finding this wonderful venue, with its quaint charm and surrounded by water with amazing views, without the stress of wedding planning. Ruby made sure our day went without a hitch and everything was taken care of. Thank you team Skansonia!

Beautiful facility! Came here for a holiday work party and enjoyed a beautiful view of the water and Seattle's skyline. The catering is fantastic and shout out to the open bar. There was a photo booth for the event I attended and it was quite fun. There's an upstairs area with couches and access to the deck if it gets too crowded or overwhelming on the main floor.

The MV Skansonia was a dream for our wedding. The whole planning process from start to finish was so easy and smooth. Finni always had answers to my questions and also helped me with things I didn’t know to ask. Having so many things taken care of through the venue was so helpful because I had so much less to worry about on our wedding day. They were also so helpful with navigating last minute changes with guest list and with the ever changing covid circumstances. I will be forever grateful that we had this beautiful venue. Every guest commented about how beautiful it was, and I could not have dreamed of a more perfect day. If you are considering this venue, I cannot recommend it highly enough. I have zero regrets and would choose the MV Skansonia over and over again.

My husband and I were married on the Skansonia July 2012, and we don't have a single complaint. We loved the Skansonia as soon as we stepped afoot the boat. It is awesome that you can celebrate on Lake union. It is also a plus that the wedding can be indoors if by chance it rains. Both Shauna and Ellie were very helpful in preparing the decor and details. The wedding went very smooth without any hiccups. The food was very tasty, and every single person that we have talked to that were at our wedding have nothing but good things to say about it!
They also recommended vendors which we also loved!

We recently held our wedding reception on the Skansonia and had a fantastic experience throughout the process. Vicki was especially professional and helpful. It was truly amazing how perfectly everything turned out considering we had to relinquish control on the day of in order to have an offsite ceremony at a nearby church. She set everything up perfectly and everything went off without a problem. Our guests were blown away with the venue and the food and everyone said it was one of the best weddings they'd been to. Considering how little we paid compared to other nearby venues of a similar size, I'd say it was a huge value!
