Lovely used book store covering a wide array of reading tastes so you are guaranteed to find something you didn’t know you needed to read. A bonus is it is home to six cats, a grey, a tabby, a pure black, a brindly dark brown, and a black and white - each has their unique personalities and are allowed to come and go on the various perches and beds scattered throughout the bookcases. This is worth a visit and the area has many other interesting shops.

By far the best used book store I've been to in several years. I'd say that even without the sweet felines that live there. However, it is one of the charms of this place.
Street parking was simple, on the block. Vast selection, great condition, fair prices ( written in pencil on corner of the 1st page) friendly staff, and the store is kept up well. No musty smells that can happen with old/used books (& cats). My 1st visit here, I spent 3 hours.
A cozy place to get lost in and forget your woes. The friendly cats were all just that. They let you pet them, and a few will let you hold them unless it is play time. ✌ 🫶 📖 🐾 #supportsmallbusinesses

Twice Sold Tails. The staff know their books.. It a great place to get a book sit with cats. A title you want. They will look it up. Tell you were to find it. Cats it's about cats.

Very cute book shop! They sell a ton of used books, so this is a haven for anyone that loves books and cats. :) It's quiet like a library so it's a very comfortable and relaxing environment to be in. Definitely a place to check out if you happen to be in the area!

I purrsonally dropped by just to see the adorable kitties. We also happen to be going to the cat cafe nearby the same day, so it's a very cat filled day - love it! Meow! 😻💕

I went here with my son today and we both really liked this bookstore! He got a couple of pokemon books and we got to pet all of the cats in the store and they were so cute. The lady working at the front desk named Jezebel was very nice and made us feel like appreciated customers! We can’t wait to go back to this book store again in the future.

Do you love cats, books, and great deals? If so, this is the place for you!!! My boyfriend and I were recommended this place from our bartender and we’re so glad we went here. They had fantastically priced books, even without the 50% sale they were having that weekend. The cats were so cute and friendly! I’d love to come back here the next time we’re in town!

There are not many places as calming as a well-stocked bookstore filled with cats. Very happy with the helpful employees and the selection of books here.

Twice Sold Tales is a labyrinthian store with an incredible selection of used books. The staff were helpful but unobtrusive, and the cats, which definitely sets this bookstore apart from most others, are present and willing to humor the cat lover to varying degrees depending on the cat's level of alacrity in that moment. Between the impressive selection of books, and the cats scattered throughout the store, you will likely find everything you'd care to find in this shop. Definitely go check this place out.

wow this is hands down the best book shop in Seattle. also they have kitties!! and the NEW ones are SO friendly!! the old shop in the U was my home (RIP fat orange kitty whose name i forgot) in the early 2000s, but this shop is even better with a few really great people manning the stations. their prices cant be beat for real. there are SO few places in Seattle that are the true and genuine Seattle i grew up in. this is one of them.check it out♥

An old, small but maze-like bookstore with tons of character and adorably ambivalent cats. What's not to love? Books are fairly priced and the staff are authentic and helpful.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bookstore has an incredibly varied collection of books. Easy to navigate and find whatever genre you're looking for. They were fairly priced for what I saw. The cats were very adorable and friendly! I would definitely recommend the place. Go out there and support this place!

Lovely selection of books (children&YA/plays/sci-fi/mystery etc.) and kitties! We had a lovely time browsing the nooks and crannies of this sweet, homey bookshop and purchasing a book.

Make sure to not leave your coat unattended for it might be occupied by a cat and you may never get it back.

came here on my birthday with friends. great books, cute cats! was just reading next to the gray and calico kitties. so cute!

this place is so good!! everything is super affordable, and there is an incredibly expansive selection. also, the cats are super friendly and happy to be pet. the whole place is super well maintained and has a wonderful homey feel to it. i wish i lived in seattle so that i could come here all the time! organization is good, but aisles are small (but floor to ceiling!)

Came all the way from Minnesota to see the kitties at this book store. They are cute. They also had a large collection of books.

My favorite used books bookstore in Seattle! Not only the selection is incredible, but also, cats. Cats everywhere. It is hard to compete with that.

We found some precious gems while shopping here, and they also have a rarer books section.

Plan to spend some time here - I usually stick around for at least 30 minutes.

Such a large collection of books and I’m so glad this place was recommended to me! found a couple books I was on the hunt for and an unexpected one that caught my eye. I could spend a long time here easily and their store cat only made the experience that much better!

I absolutely loved this store!!! I found it while walking somewhere else but the store design was so cute I had to check it out. Thousands upon thousands of books make this place so welcoming. Plus it helps to see four kitties sleeping around! I bought three books, two horror, one mushrooming knowledge, and they were very fairly priced. I've told everyone I know about this place and I plan to go again!
