Kai's Thai Street Food And Bar

On a whim we went here for dinner and drinks. Food was excellent. Drinks were great and the service was exactly what I expect. We loved the atmosphere and the server Kyle so much that we stopped by each night of our trip. This place is truly a gem in the U district. Kyle is a great host/bartender/server. We definitely will be back. Highly recommend!

One of the better Thai restaurants in U-Dist. Their spice levels are more true to what you would get in Thailand, so be sure about the level you can handle.

Off the beaten path in U District. Right next to the Link light rail stop.
Waitress/host was solo. When # of patrons increased, she was well organized and maintained a pleasant personality and was attentive to our table.

Pork Pad Thai: Hell yeah! When can you go wrong with this?
Chicken pad kee mao (aka drunken noodles) If you have never tried, this is a guaranteed flavor buster. Good herbs, flavorful and crisp sautéed veggies, sauce was flavorful, wide rice noodles were separated and folded perfect and did not stick on each other, spice was on point (3/5 spice level requested and received)

Oopsy: Pad see ew. This was originally brought to our table. I took a bite unknowing. This was great!! Sauce had a full flavor of herbs, spices, soy sauce with increased sugar. Vegetables in dish remained crisp!
Try this place! Prices on par with rest of community dishes.

It seems to be impossible to have disappointing Thai in this city and I'm glad this location is no exceptions. Service is kind and prompt, but they don't have a public restroom which I found to be odd. The bar is quaint and they have outdoor seating. I ordered their specialty dishes with a tom kha, and everything was spectacular. The minced pork had the right texture and seasoning. I will be returning as it provided large portions at a reasonable price. Other reviews allude to their incredible happy hour which I have yet to try.

Absolutely amazing! The place is beautiful and staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. The menus options are an excellent value. As a Thai, I highly recommend this restaurant.

If you’re looking for great food and vibes, I highly recommend Kai’s! Everything was delicious but you must order the Crying Tiger, Chicken Wings, and Crispy Pork Belly. Service was fantastic as well. Will definitely come back next time I’m in Seattle!

Good good food. Nice ambiance, friendly waiter, cozy cocktail bar. The Thai food? some of the best I've ever had. We had yellow curry & spicy eggplant. 5 stars! We will stop by on our next trip through Seattle for sure.

really nice space, really nice products, really nice people, good prices, good hours, good location, it's gonna be a regular spot for me.

EDIT: it's official, this a sleeper in the u district. food is great. It's never crowded. They made me a pretty good Manhattan. I'm surprised the place isn't getting mobbed.

Best Thai food in the area!

The staff is always pleasant, friendly and helpful. The pad kra pow and pad thai is to die for and I always recommend getting both a little spicy.

1st time here, was a quite nice environment. Had the Papaya salad, fried rolls. Was good and filling.

Very tasty Thai street food, and great service! It's a distinct step up from your usual Thai restaurants.

Service was fast and the food was delicious! They tell you that to eat outside you have to order to-go.. so we sat inside. Met the owner who was very nice. 100% would come back!

Very friendly and nice waitress, my favorite dishes is crispy pork belly stir-fry with thai basil or with chilies and rice power sauce, And beef soup so delicious... and most important beer!

Stopped by during the u district food walk. This was definitely the best restaurant we tried. The crispy garlic chicken was fried to perfection and was coated in a wonderful sauce sprinkled with crispy crunchy basil. The bartender was friendly and the chef was quick. Will definetly be back

Kyle was a very friendly, funny and amazing server! Made the experience very nice!! The food was great too!

Really good food, vegetarian options are on the fewer side though. But when available, it's great. The view is lovely but the service can be rude sometimes for unknown reasons.

I stop by for a beer while waiting for the bus sometimes. Great service. Super friendly staff. Can't speak for the food cause I haven't tried it yet, but it smells AMAZING

The Perfect Place for really good, healthy fresh food, short waiting, nice Service. The non alcoholic drinks were refreshing and not too sweet, The Stick mango Rice for dessert worth every pennt. Thanks!
