We had a property insurance claim for a roof stemming from hurricane Michael. The roofer did a poor job and later found out it was not properly flashed. Travelers inspector found no issues...the found a "$0 claim" yet they went ahead and increased our premium anyway. So inspector did not know the correct codes for a roof....they don't find any fault...no claim was made or paid but they increase premium anyway. Real ethical people. I would move one.

I had been with them for a few years then realized there were cheaper options out there that are easier to deal with. When I was in a car accident a few years back they had me see a chiropractor who falsified evidence in what I needed treatment and how all of my injuries weren’t related to the car accident. I ended up owing several hundreds of dollars to pay for my treatment. I still have scar tissue damage from the accident. When I finally did cancel they still pulled money from my account and I had to call multiple times to receive my money back. When they finally did send a check, I noticed they refunded all but $2. They probably did this since they know people aren’t going to go through the hassle of dealing with them for that low of an amount.

I would leave zero stars if I could. I did NOT feel truly protected while I was insured by them. I had a homeowner's insurance policy with Travelers, and working with them to address issues they deemed in need of attention following their home inspection was frustrating and a waste of my time. They refused to accept inspections I provided them stating the issues did not need addressing. Avoid Travelers at all costs if you are able to.

My husband and I opted for electronic correspondence rather than having paper mail sent to us when we first signed up with travelers. That ended being our downfall because we cancelled our plan through them because we found a better price elsewhere, therefor our account that we logged into to get our electronic correspondence was closed. A few months passed and we thought everything was ok until we found out they sent us to collections for $650. Apparently there was some fund that they gave us that we didn’t pay back. We had no idea of it because we couldn’t log in to get notifications about our CLOSED account. When my husband called to dispute they confirmed that they sent notifications electronically per our request. Yes we wanted electronic statements but we had no way of knowing anything was owed because that account was closed. They sent nothing by mail or phone so we are now in collections during a very difficult time. Just sucks. We paid faithfully every month just to be sent to collections. We have never been in collections until this point. I would have had no problems paying what I owed but instead they took it upon themselves to send us to collections with no call or warning. We have already called to dispute and were given a “there’s nothing we can do” answer so I guess we just have to deal with it. I just hope this review will make someone think twice before signing up with this company.

Been a customer for years with multiple vehicles, an RV, and a boat insured through them. My wife was in an accident with our primary car the one we haul our 3 young kids around in. After waiting for over a month for them to finally come out and even inspect our vehicle they gave an estimate to repair our van that had multiple parts that were damaged that were not included. I talked with my agent about the issues and was told that the components that weren't included now made it so my vehicle was a total loss. They sent me a valuation of my van that was significantly lower than the going rate for vans like mine. Under further investigation I found that they used 2wd van unlike mine that is an All Wheel Drive. AWD GMC Safari vans go for significantly more than 2wd vans. When I raised this concern they wouldn't not listen, when I sent multiple listing of similar vans they wouldn't use them as comparables because they weren't the exact same year. So your saying you won't use a 1 year older van as a comparable but you will use a 2wd when mines a awd. All they want to do is pay me the least amount possible not take care of their customer and pay me what my vehicle is worth. I wouldn't recommend doing business with this company unless you enjoy being screwed by your insurance company because that would be the only way they will give you a happy ending.

Don't post telling me to call you. You have my name call me and make it right. I shouldn't have to waste my time calling you to get the kind of customer service I should have gotten to begin with.

Worst experience, our daughter was hit and injured by one of there drivers totally her car. We are still waiting on a fair car settlement at nearly 3 weeks. They offered 1/4 of the Kelley Blue Book value of her car, I’ve sent seven comparable cars for sales, $2334. In receipt for recent repairs. We have done everything they have requested promptly. The adjuster went went on vacation not extending our rental car, not responding to emails after returning to the office. The other adjuster won’t do anything without her approval. Awful, Awful, Awful.

I had a call from “William with Travelers” who was an agent with the other party involved in a collision. He asked for a recorded statement from me, rushed through the questions (clearly structured in a way to make it look that their driver was not at fault), interrupted me multiple times not giving an opportunity to explain what happened properly. When I asked some clarifying questions to make sure he captured the accident accurately as I felt there is some miscommunication there, he yelled at me telling that not going to discuss this further, and that he ‘s calling me just out of courtesy, as he already made his decision on this claim (not in my favor) and suggested me to go and fix my car on my own. “Excellent” customer service - absolutely inappropriate way to treat people.

Absolutely ridiculous. Scam. I went through Jerry and was told I’d be paying $67 a month ($333 left in policy after the first down payment) and overnight while in the process of canceling my current insurance, it went to $667 with a down payment of $333. I was already stressing like crazy after reading the HORRIBLE reviews about this place. But at the time I figured I’d roll with it. Hell no. I called my current insurance company FAST and had them keep me on their policy. I won’t be wasting time or money with Travelers. Although it’s advisable not to go through apps (Jerry) to change insurance companies, what insurance payment goes from $67 a month to a down payment of $333 overnight?! Oh and also, the $333 is pending on my bank account lol.

My parked car that is insured by Travelers was hit by another insured car. Travelers asked me to pay out of pocket for the repairs and said they would pay me back in 6-9 months. It's now been 16mo without any payment or proactive outreach. I can't believe they would botch something this straightforward.

You are probably better off just not having car insurance. They have the worst costumer service I’ve ever experienced and will treat you like you're not a paying costumer. If you find yourself dealing with Courtney Jenkins or Lindsey Stamp I’d suggest you just give up before wasting months of your life. If you can switch insurance companies do it ASAP before you actually need to use travelers for anything.

Wish I could rate a 0 for this terrible company. Do not go through them, they have the worst customer service. I was mistreated multiple times, they struggled to work with my leanholder on providing them my proof of insurance from the start, they accused me of not paying for a couple months, even though I had my statements pulled up showing my payments being taken out. They failed to change my address 3 different timesand when they did they raised my premium without disclosing anything to me and they have also refused to take my payments 20 mins before "closing" time when I call in.

This company is a sham for customer service and they really are into my bank account.

Sorry not sorry, I will do everything in my power to warn people of this insurance if I hear anyone considering them.

I didn’t realize it was up to me, the owner, to do an initial assessment of the damage done to my car after an accident. Apparently if you , the owner, doesn’t mention something that was damaged in the initial phone call to Travelers it will not be covered!!! Even if the professional estimator does mention it. That and the boneheads at travelers insurance thinks it is perfectly fine to align the front end of a car with 1 brand new tire and rim on one side and an old damaged rim and worn out tire on the other side. STAY AWAY FROM TRAVELERS INSURANCE!!

I've had my home hazard insurance with Travelers for something like 12 years. So at about $600 a year in premiums, I've paid in more than $7,000 in premiums and never had a claim. So imagine how disgusted I am that Travelers will not pay a $400 claim on my Perishable Food Loss coverage - when I have VIDEO of a vandal who cut the power to my home while I was out of town, causing loss of all the food in my refrigerator/freezer. Shame on you, Travelers! Progressive has been pestering me for years to bundle home and auto...well, here I come.

Honestly drastically over priced and when there are issues with say an account number not being in there system correct they will gouge you financially with added fees and tell you your paying for a shorter policy even though you have paid them... if you know what’s good for you go with another insurance company. Because these guys are crooks and should be investigated by consumer affairs...
