The largest of the three public shore ends in Madison Park. It features a garden of native plants, a couple of benches, and wide open beach that has a fantastic view. The garden seems particularly unique as it allows for some community involvement. Right next to the shore, a couple of houses are being built, but it was still peaceful on a weekday evening.

In April 2019, this site was covered in 6 ft of Himalayan Blackberry, English Ivy, and Clematis. SDOT with the help of the Friends of Street Ends, the Seattle Tennis Club, and many community volunteers were able to restore this site by planting over 600 native shrubs and 33 trees. Community members raised funds to purchase plantings. The Madison Park Times has written several articles on this project.

Volunteers are looking for someone to lead the stewardship of this park due to the recent death of the previous steward. Contact the Seattle Department of Transportation Shoreline Street Ends Program Coordinator.

Favorite "secret beach" in Madison Park. Sure "Mike's Beach" and the Beaver Lodge are also favorites but as far as access, size of beach, ease of swimming, etc go this place takes the top prize in my book. Also Gene and his crew of volunteers have done an absolutely outstanding job of restoring this place. They removed a huge amount of non-native plants, cut a very pretty little trail, and planted a whole host of beautiful native plants/shrubs to replace what was removed. On top of all of that they did it during this whole COVID19 nightmare with very little assistance from the city whose priorities had shifted to containing the virus and it's social/economic fallout. If you live in the area and frequent this beach consider getting on Gene's email list and volunteering for the next work party. Our parks are getting heavier than normal usage during these COVID times and could use a little TLC help. So pick up some trash, leave no trace, and consider signing up to volunteer with local organizers like Gene!

Cool hidden park never crowded ever ever. Pretty small but its pretty much yours to yourself while you're there. Also really god spot to bring your dog if u want them to go in the lake. Or wait I mean nobody go there you won't like it and neither will your dog! Ha

Nice, small public shore access point next to the tennis club with a rocky beach that is typically frequented by locals. The water is generally pretty clean; however, sometimes during the year there can be some algae in the water (this is especially true on days where there is a lot of boat traffic like weekends).
