Such a cute, well-curated bookstore! Loved the selection of books and all the other fun little related merch items. Ciara was super helpful. Great location too.

The perfect “shop around the corner” despite life requiring me to be a digital reader this is a store I will continue to come to. The ambiance, the local art, the paper products and the overall vibe make this a MUST see!! It’s a place you want to explore every nook and cranny of then come back later because you know it’ll be slightly different. Can’t wait to see what’s next!!

Great Indie bookstore and they had a bunch of copies of the special edition Fourth Wing and were so nice helping me to place one on hold. Then also nice when I came in later that night to pick it up (along with a signed copy of Murtagh). So excited for my finds and will definitely be preordering books here now!

Best bookstore in town! So many titles to choose from - Kate (the owner) can even special order something if you don't see it on the shelves. There's lots of fantastic gift ideas! I can't leave without buying something. Love this store

From the first moment walking in, I knew it was a wonderful place. Any reading fan will feel right at home. Do yourself a favor and buy a book from them. I'll be back as often as I can.

I love this store. The staff are friendly and helpful and fun to talk to. They have a wide selection of books and many in depth recommendations. These people know their books and will be honest if they don’t like one. It’s got lots of cute stickers and gifts by independent artists, too. And it means so much to me that they have such a positive, kid friendly atmosphere that encourages youth to learn about the world and accept themselves and others. This sort of queer friendly bookstore would have been so positive for me growing up. They really care about and participate in community events. Sure indie bookstores may cost more on the front end but they give back to the community in a way that makes up for it.

I love our local bookstore! Everyone who works there is helpful and kind, they order any books they don't currently have in stock (which is important with a bookworm kid who loves to read series)and the store always has something fun and interesting they I didn't know I needed.

Such a wonderful store with a great selection and plenty of extras. This is always our first stop when looking for a gift.

I absolutely love this place! The employees are always so nice. The book selection is amazing too, I like that the store features local authors as well as popular ones.

This is my favorite indy book store. The owner and staff are so welcoming and attentive. I mentioned to the owner on one visit that I had a little boy who loves zombies. It was just in midst of a small conversation. The next time I came in she had a humorous zombie book picked out to recommend for me - and it was even at my little guy’s reading level. An awesome local bookstore. They have a great variety and their staff recommendations section is fantastic. They'll even order books in for you if they don't have them on hand, waiting and then picking up a new book makes me feel like I'm 8 again and excited for Christmas. The staff are all friendly and helpful. If you get a chance stop in Ballast Books and check their recommendations section, or order a book you've been thinking about.

Went in to look around with my daughter and we left with 2 novelty items. I’m usually not a big reader, it’s hard for me to stay interested long enough. There was a recommended book, “Under the Whispering Door”. I went back to the hotel and the book stuck with me. I ended up getting the book to read on my flight home, and have fallen in LOVE! Thank you to this lovely little magical place for making me fall in love with reading.

I always love Ballast. Great books, and I always walk out with a handful of cards and/or stickers too! And they have some USA made journals which I appreciate! Wonderful little place!

Adorable book store. I love supporting a small business, especially one with books!! They had quite a selection of books, and also had knickknacks and toys, too. I bought a book and got to take a free one! That's pretty neat. I'll be visiting again =)

Super helpful. Always stuffed with tons of books and other trinkets, so you'll always find something that you want. Staff is super friendly and will order a book for pickup (usually within the week) if they don't have it! Pretty store, lots of book clubs, local and indie.

I love this store, it's small, but packs a heck of a selection. And I've asked for books twice that they didn't have in store and got it within a few days and gave me a call. My kids love the kid section. We make it a date once a month to get new books. I'd much rather support these brave entrepreneurial book lovers than Amazon. They also boast locally authored books and even have book signing events.

They have cozy chairs to test out a book with and toys and puzzles or games. I especially love the indestructible baby books. They really ARE indestructible! Totally worth a visit or five.

I have started ordering books here for a couple weeks. Able to get every title I have requested so far and very quickly in my perspective. I pick them up on my commute back home, and Nathaniel is a fantastic help. Just ordered a book that is very uncommon and can't wait to get my hands on it.

Sweet little bookstore, they have a surprisingly great selection of books, as well as a pretty robust online ordering site. I also love all the other non-book stationery type things they have. I always end up leaving with some stickers to add to my collection lol. Love it!

Kate always greets me with a smile and a few book recommendations. She is very knowledgeable and I've loved almost every book she suggested. She's also ordered books for me and personally called to let me know they had arrived at the store.

This book store is super cute. I have gotten so many books here, and I was even able to get a few books shipped to the store. Employees are amazing and were able to recommend books I might like, along with telling me about local book club meetings. I wish I was staying in the area longer :(
