Powhatan Animal Hospital

I was recommended to Powhatan Animal hospital by a friend. As a first time dog owner I was a little anxious about all the responsibilities of taking care of a healthy dog. The team here patiently and efficiently answered my questions even BEFORE I had our dog. It is so easy to schedule appointments, everyone is so kind. They take special care with me and our dog Georgia. She loves going to the vet!!

The staff at Powhatan Animal Hospital are so kind and friendly. I have now taken two of my cats here and the staff remembers them and loves on them like they’re their own. I highly recommend Powhatan Animal Hospital if you want to take your pet to a reliable, friendly, and clean vet!

I don’t even know where to start! The doctors and the staff here are absolutely amazing! I’ve been taking my pets to them for years and they have always treated them like it was their own. The staff are always so gentle and caring to the animals that come in there everyday🫶🏻

My dog goes to Dr. Davis. He absolutely loves her. I don’t exist when she walks in. She has taken such great care of him and I wouldn’t take him anywhere else. The staff knows my puppy and spoils him with so much love. Some dogs have bad experiences at the Vet office and you can tell by how they don’t want to go in but my dog runs inside just so he can see everyone. Worth the 40 min drive because I know Dr.Davis will always do what’s best for him.

Powhatan has been so wonderful with the care and attention to our kitty. Our stray kitty wound up injured and Powhatan has been wonderful with getting him seen quickly and performing daily wound care. The staff have been so caring and loving to our kitty. Thank you all. Tonya

I came in for a nail trim only appointment but my dog was sick and they found somewhere to squeeze him in. It was taking awhile for the blood work but they kept me updated the entire time of the delays. This is important to me as it lets me know I wasn’t forgotten when you wait for a long time. The staff is so nice and helpful and everyone is knowledgeable. I highly recommend Powhatan animal hospital.

Professional , caring, and respectful off your pet and yourself. I have used them for several years and haven’t had a bad experience with them. If you want TLC for your pets then you should consider using Powhatan Animal Hospital for your pets needs.

Bear was very sick and in extreme pain and could pass away from this bladder/urethra blockage if not taken care of immediately.

Thank you to Dr. Davis and Dr. Meade for taking great care of Bear during his surgery. They did a great job eliminating all the painful crystals in Bear’s bladder and urethra. He is doing well in his recovery. They told me everything to expect as well as the cost involved. Kudos to both doctors!

My pups and cats alway receive the best care at PAH. The entire staff is friendly and attentive.

We just moved to the area and the Vets and staff made my 4 fur babies comfortable and ensured they continue to remain healthy. We are happy to live in our forever home and know our family will be taken care of as well.

when my dog needs attention I call Powhatan Animal Hospital usually without appointment and they have been accommodating me. Since I'm not a clinical person it's hard to tell when my dog has allergies or infection. Even the drive into the more rural area is nice. I would recommend these folks.

The staff are so nice and understanding. New puppy needed to be seen and when I called they got me right in to see the doctor. Dr. Johnson was so amazing with Chloe.

My dog Copper puller her nail out completely and was in pain. They checked her over and gave her some pain meds and an anti prevent infection. I was happy about their concern and care they gave my sweet girl.

I had a great experience at Powhatan Animal Hospital yesterday. The vet tech (Ellie?) couldn't have been nicer to me or my pets. She introduced herself, explained everything to me, was very professional and personable.
Dr. Mead was great as always, even realized that she'd never met my husband and introduced herself. She's very kind and gentle with the pets and empathetic to my concerns. I appreciated the follow up phone call to discuss results of blood work.

Dr. Johnson was fantastic. Staff was great at check in and all through the visit. I had not been in a few years and glad I decided to go back. Great improvement.
