Mariscos La Costa

I come here mostly for the seafood ceviches, they taste great and are reasonably priced. The tacos are also very good and so are the burritos, seafood or other meats, especially the carnitas. It's a casual place. It probably was a fast food joint from the past, it's like a drive-in. You sit outdoors. It's usually busy during lunch. Other times you should have no problem getting a table. There are lots of parking in the parking lot.

Been visiting this place for their ceviche for 10 years. Never disappoints... You can always count on the shrimp quesadilla as well A+

I have been coming here for Mariscos (seafood) for the longest. It has been good 9 out of 10 times. Almost perfect. Great flavor and fresh. Little pricey but healthy servings

A very filling portion for just 7 bucks. You get 3 tostadas, some crackers, and ketchup and tapatio hot sauce to go with the meal. Drinks are just 250 for horchata, jamaica or some other drink I couldn't recognize. Quick service for quality food 👍

The campechana was excellent. I ordered the super size, and was hoping I wasn't paying too much. It was totally worth it. I asked them to hold the jaiba (artificial crab), and the bowl was still full. It was packed with shrimp, avocado, octopus, and included 2 oysters. The octopus was fresh- I've been to more than one place where it's starting to turn and has a bit of an ammonia smell, but not here. The sauce was was flavorful and spicy. I didn't need to add any sauces, though I did squeeze in most of the large 1/2 lime that was included. I can't imagine how spicy their aguachiles must be- I'm not brave enough to try one! Their jamaica was also to my liking, tart with a good balance of sweetness. I had already eaten a bit before I took the picture- the bowl was full to the brim when I got it.

They even have parking! Definitely worth a try if you're in the area- I think it's going to be my go-to for this type of food.

Great deal on oysters! They were almost the size of my hand and DELICIOUS!

This is a real Hispanic joint. No nachos! My gringo pal insist on them... no buddy not here. Very cool prices. Simple food and easy price.

Super good place to get tostadas de ceviche or camarones... always tastes really good and fresh. Then I had the pastor and it was SUPER good! Overall really good place to get ceviche and tacos... just remember they only take cash though...

Food was great very filling the area however is not a great area. But Would recommend to visit whenever you are in open

Always fresh, always authentic, always delicious. Recommend as your go to ceviche spot in Oakland. The tacos and burritos are great too.

I don’t come here for the tacos or burritos. Those are just plain to me from this place. (Though my mother prefers their burritos to all others).

This place is where you come for ceviche. You come here for seafood. My family and I have been coming here for years!!!

Their ceviche is PERFECT. I love it. Spicy flavorful and tender meat. So good!

I love this place. Been going here for many many years when their tacos were $1ea. Nowadays it's $1.75, but it tastes just as awesome as before.

I try to come here whenever I'm in the area. And I always get the tacos lengua (5 of them will do) and the tamarind drink.

I live the fish ceviche, most amazing thing ever.

Don’t let the exterior fool you. What they lack in decor, they make up for the food. Came here for the ceviche which was pretty good. Had the shrimp ceviche dish and a couple of chicken tacos. The star dish was the chicken quesadilla. It was very flavorful! Wait time was less than 10 minutes and had a variety of hot and spicy sauces.

They have the best steak tostadas of any. Super flavorful, ask for whole beans and extra tortillas; it is a filling meal. Their ceviches are fresh, deliciously cold and citrusy. So good!!!!

Impressed!! The best ceviche in Oakland!

This is a ”must stop” food destination while in Oakland. The tacos are delicious, and all of the food is priced fair. If you have a craving for authentic Mexican food I highly recommend making the drive.

Didn't eat anything but the steak burritos and they are DELLLIIICIOUS!!!!!!! ESPECIALLY THAT HOT SALSA THEY PUT ON THERE. I got a super steak burrito for $8 it doesn't come with cheese but you orefer to add it then it's $8.50. I also went there and bought a steak and shrimp burrito and only paid $9.50 ( for the cheese). It's cheap, it's delicious 😋, and doesn't give you the runs or make your stomach hurt..I say that's an A++. THANKS Mariscos La Costas for saving me money and satisfying my tummy..

If I ever feel like having ceviche La Costa is the place to go. Best ceviche in town... Been going there for years and they haven't let me down. Fast, inexpensive, good food and outdoor seating. Only bad thing is that the take cash only and they don't have an atm near.
