Cardenas Markets

This place has everything! With prices rising, meat [butcher counter or packaged] is reasonably priced and the quality you’ll get either way is A1. Great options for Latin American cuisine. The selection is worth the detour!

Cardenas is one of my shopping markets. It has a produce section with many veggies & fruits. They carry a large amount of island produce like cassava root. tarot root, plantains, pineapple, mangos etc. They also have a meat, Pastry, and cooked food section. I always have a nice experience here.

Limited, shared free parking.

Cardenas takes after Mi Pueblo. Same layout as the previous grocery store selling produce, bakery, grocery (rotisserie chicken, beer, laundry detergent, coal, ice, etc.), deli items, and hot Mexican foods.

Friendly and helpful staff members. Be kind and not so bossy, they'll treat you nicely :-)
Keep your receipt because sometimes security may ask to check your purchase. Sometimes they missed the time when you were paying. Anti-theft measures, and they're just doing their job.

Check your mail for their weekly newsletter to see what's on special for the week. Some items are the same price as Safeway.

Early morning is less crowded, but busier during lunch and dinner hours.

Toilet is usually clean and open for customers.

Very good place to shop hot food and shopping all in one

Go to store for specific cultural items. Lines are usually long but move fast. Staff always helpful and friendly. Don't miss the hot bar for some tasty items. The cheese and meat in back are fresh. Pan dulces always fresh. Cakes are tasty as well. Very well stocked store. Store is always clean, even the restrooms.

Great Market for almost everything. I like better than Safeway. More reasonable in prices

There is everything for a one stop shopping. Love their bakery & the food counter. Once upon a time you never heard of a store with a dinning area. But this is a total plus in this day and age. It is a must to stop and shop if you have never been.

Staff speaks English and Spanish very well to accommodate all customers.

As a husband, I wind up following my wife around the store. Tempted by all the sugary pastries. But today I had self-control and did not grope for more sugar

They called me señora so they should be getting one star… lol I’m happy they have everything you could ever need. Their tortillas are so freaking good and listen, I come from Tijuana, I used to go to the tortillería to get them freshly made, grocery store tortillas weren’t a thing so, these are actually great. It does get pretty crazy at the meat and dairy section though, that is one thing they can improve. Most of the time I forgo waiting in line and just get prepackaged stuff.

Had the opportunity to run into probably one of the nicest markets in that area.

Always love coming here to get carnitas and other delicious items from the hot food bar. Horchata is better earlier in the day with less ice melted. I keep coming back and will continue to do so. Yum.

Great selection of all the things you need

Meat was a little expensive last time I was in there but decent prices on everything else I've seen so far. Plus they have a wide mix of foods from different places. My boyfriend is Honduran and I'm able to find all the things he likes here.

I love Cardenas market. They have a great selection of Mexican products, a bakery, a carnicería, and tortillería. You can even find epazote. Truly great service and a big parking lot. It gets busy, but you can usually check out fast. I’m a fan!

You will find everything you're craving here!!! Got whole fried fishies for a last minute party! Complete with the fixings!! Taco platter is the next purchase!!!

Used to be mi Pueblo and used to love their Mexican red rice. Now the rice is ok.still edible.clean place. Lotsof Mexican candies yum. Sour and spicy flavor.

Love their tres leches and to go Mexican food. Not a big fan of their drinks.

Sometimes good value on meat.always crowded.

Sometimes homeless will come and steal small veggies and went straight out store
