Quince offers amazing food with seasonal California ingredients. Nettle green soup was unexpected and out of this world. Wines are delicious. Service could use a little bite more attention. Decors and interior are top notch and tasteful. The place gives classy and old money vibes.

I just love Quince. It's delicious, surprising, a welcoming place to be at. The menu is very tasty, service is friendly and knowledgeable and helpful.

Quince just went through a re-launch after remodeling. The new look is lighter, larger windows. Do check it out.

They have a full tasting menu, a shorter 4 course tasting and a lounge menu.

My son and I recently visited Quince. We had been trying to plan a trip there for years. We had a great experience and also had the honor and privilege of being invited into the kitchen, and meeting the chef and his team. Food, cocktails, wine pairing, service, all over the top! Can’t wait to return!!!

This was a truly wonderful and exceptional experience. My husband and I could not have asked for a better birthday celebration. The staff was so warm and welcoming and attentive and the food and wine was, of course, incredible. It was a one-of-a-kind evening that we’ll cherish.

This was a really great experience. Came for my birthday. Drinks were great including the bartenders sazerac rendition. Great starting bites that were fresh with excellent texture. The crawfish was probably the best I’ve had in terms of being cooked perfectly. The plate cleanser was so refreshing. Dessert was beautiful and amazing. Loved the small touches and appreciated my signed menu at the end of the evening. The to-go hot chocolate at the end for our evening stroll was really appreciated.

Excellent food but rather 'traditional'. Nothing so creative, even in the full tasting menu, that one can acclaim "I've never had anything like this before."
The dining room can be a tiny bit brighter. A middle-aged person might have problem reading the menu without his phone's magnifier.

Possibly one of the best restaurants on planet Earth. The only Michelin 3 star I have returned to more than one time so far. And that’s not to say others don’t deserve it, Quince just overtops them all.

Delicate flavors made with incredible inventiveness and passion from an array of local ingredients dance across unique plates and spreads, involving the diner in an experience that is sometimes tactile, sometimes aural, sometimes olfactory, and always gustatorily pleasurable. Never have I so badly wanted to lick the plates and never have I been so without critique. There are no weak dishes here and my #1 complaint is that their delightfully long tasting menu provides quite literally MORE FOOD than a human needs for dinner. You may struggle to finish it all and that’s a darn tragedy.

So skip breakfast and lunch if you must and double the bread because it may be the best in the world.

The very first time I went here, a fellow diner mentioned a dish they had eaten at another Michelin restaurant in New York. Within 20 minutes Quince had recreated the dish and served it to us! Are you kidding?! They literally invented food on the spot and it was amazing, and free.

This place probably deserves to be 4 Michelin stars. Simply the best, bar none.

Famous dining experience! Impeccable service, from wait staff offering his arm to escort me to and from the ladies' room. To the hot chocolate given as we walked out. Everything well paced. We had the tasting menu plus two add-ons. I had the $440 "rare and unique" wine pairing even though I'm not a white wine drinker, so I could have done without it. Nice that they had a non alcoholic pairing which my friend had. We were there close to four hours so I would say it was a Quince experience!

Excellent food - vegetable forward, light, mostly seafood, main dish was squab (so quite light on meat). Good service. Extensive wine list with reasonable options for those that don’t want to splurge. Ambience is modern but simple (a bit much beige for my taste!). We were able to visit the kitchen and meet Chef Tusk.

Price went up 10% from before it closed, service charge is up to 22%, plus 6% SF mandate, so expect to pay for the experience!

For parking, they don’t have valet and recommend an open air lot on Sansome that we couldn’t quite locate. However, we found street parking on Pacific right across from the restaurant so lucked out.

Awesome venue and very comfortable and friendly dining experience, on top of the impeccable dishes! You will feel fully satisfied in every course! The only pity is the 25% service charge seems to be on the high side.

A meal at this restaurant is much more than a dining experience, it is an enjoyment for all five senses. One must also consider the creativity and efforts of the chef and its team. Everything was delicious and visually appealing. The ingredients utilized, matched and combined to create the flavors, textures, colors and plating were all very impressive. What a joyful evening!

Pretty extraordinary stuff, from the origin stories behind the humble plates and cutlery to the carefully selected and blended ingredients - even the non descript English peas shine when blended with Bay crayfish. Ever present, friendly service. Surroundings are a bit dark and stuffy but that's quibbling for a truly special food experience.

Exceptional food and service, with beautiful ambiance as well. The only thing I’d change is the color of the staff suits- it’s a dark olive green that feels very dated compared to the hyper modern interior and experience

Came in for the truffle dinner, everything is very tasty. Some dishes are a touch too warm which cooks the truffle too fast. One dish, the pumpkin dish did not go with truffles. But overall, good winter menu, delicious truffle dinner for the season.

Wine pairing price = $275
Value (retail) = $101 <--- Highest retail value pairing in San Francisco of the 25 I've itemized.
Markup = 270% 😍😍😍

One of the better wine pairing values in San Francisco with only a 2.7x markup on retail for our December 2019 visit. For other 3-star restaurants, Singlethread was 3x in March 2019 and their Kistler location was 2.1x in October 2020 (though at Kistler they almost exclusively pour their own wines so it lacks some diversity).

Wines included champagne, 4 whites, 4 reds, and a dessert wine. We were able to revisit the first red poured when we sheepishly asked quickly emptying our glasses when we went for seconds on the smoked butter croissants.

For other 1-star restaurants around the same time Mourad was 3.8x and Lord Stanley was 3.7x.

The food incredible. Service is impeccable. It's worth visiting for a special occasion!

From the environment, tableware, to the 10-course pace of serving, to the service, etc., everything at Quince is outstanding. And this Michelin three-star restaurant's cuisine is also outstanding. Every dish is presented delicately and deliciously, and the black cod is especially liked. I like to be invited to sit at a table next to the kitchen and watch the fifth course. Each chef "cooks live."

Went here for my birthday dinner with one of my best girlfriends. Staff was incredibly knowledgeable and soooo accommodating. My friend was not feeling too great And had an upset stomach (non restaurant related), and they went thru every effort to make sure she was comfortable from bringing us soda/bitters, ginger tea, extra bread, etc. We got a mini tutorial on how to fold two different types of napkins, another waitress gave me tons of suggestions on other things to do in the city. They even packed up our last course so that we could go home early as my friend was sick.

But aside from the INCREDIBLE service, I don’t know if anything I say would do the food justice.

Highlights:

BEST slice of wagyu beef I’ve ever had in my life.
The lobster/caviar/hollandaise omelette.
The finger foods on the first course, particularly the oysters.
The chocolate tarts and vanilla bean ice cream; TO DIE FOR.

It was a fantastic start to our food tour in San Fran/Napa Valley. The staff was exceedingly attentive and spot on. The General Manager, Matt Cirne, was uncommonly generous with his time with us. He shared an excellent list of cocktail bars as well as other restaurants we should consider while our journey through San Fran and Napa Valley, and we could thank him enough for it.

The restaurant unexpectedly arranged for us to experience a course in the Kitchen, which made the occasion even more memorable and special.

The food was creative and exciting to see and eat. Just as important was the pace of the meal, which was also spot on. It's a negative when you have to wait 10+ minutes in between each course as the dinner can drag out, which is a double negative if you're feeling hungry between each course.

Quince set the bar high for our food tour, which included TFL, Atelier Crenn, Manresa, and The Restaurant at the Meadowood.

Quince is a must goto restaurant.

My last visit to Quince was roughly 6 years ago, in their old location. The new Quince is certainly more grown up; the old Quince was immensely competent but the new Quince is all that, plus bold and exciting in a welcoming manner.
Their pasta dishes are of course their forte. The squid ink pasta with geoduck, squid and melon alone is worth a return trip. Sweet corn tortelini was mind blowing. Lobster and courgette flower with the most delicate hollandaise was to die for.
A return trip is a must. Go eat here now!
