Roanoke Public Library

very quaint public library. small but a variety of tables to study at. there are even more private study rooms towards the back of the library, we just have to store our belongings in a locker, which is kinda annoying. But other than that great study environment. computers are there as well

Awesome library! Everyone was kind and helpful. I love libraries that are full of people, vibrant and diverse. Love the interior design. Outside is beautiful and a kids wonderland. I really love the old tree near the front entrance. Love love love!

This is a beautiful space. Grab a book and find a seat outside. The staff here is the best. They really go the extra bit to help you. You will find a ton of homeless upstairs along window. In front by the bike, racks you will find two time capsules buried in the ground. How cool is that!!

I discovered that the Virginia Room in the main branch had a book I was interested in for research. Living two hours away, I wasn’t altogether inclined to drive all the way there to examine the book. So I called to inquire if someone could look up the information for me. A very nice person, named Joey patiently looked up the information and scanned and emailed me what I needed. Very helpful, great service. Thank you Roanoke Public Library.

I love the library. The kids have a great time and the so called nasty/smelly homeless have a warm/cool place to go and also look for work. I'm proud to be a part of a library who welcomes the homeless. So Marc Rom, a bad attitude towards people is worse than being homeless. I Hope You Never Become HOMELESS And People Don't TREAT You The Way That You Treat HOMELESS now. God bless. I'm sorry, but your attitude is nasty and stinky. Go roanoke for being a safe haven for those in need:)

Located in Elmwood Park in downtown Roanoke. Nice views and a relaxing environment makes for a nice place to study, use a computer, or simply read a book. If you have never been in this library it is definitely a spot you should drop by and check out for yourself one day.

The entire staff are very eager to help. And the reference librarian in the Virginia reference room is willing to offer research material and tips beyond and in line with your request.
