El Potrillo Birrieria

You could drive by this place for years and not know they serve one of the best birrias in the bay area. The closest thing you can find to Jalisco/Guadalajara. I love the complimentary bean tacos. I get chivo but they also have borrego on weekends. Ask for your cosume rojo or con salsita.

If you want an authentic birria, you have found THEE spot. Service is phenomenal 👏 the waiter guided me and my partner on what to get and we loved each dish.

So glad I found this hidden gem. The Birria is off the hook! A great place to grab a beer and some Birria. It doesn't get more authentic than this. People are friendly, service is prompt and the vibe is welcoming. You have to go early for the Birria dorados. Also make sure to try the corn quesadilla with Birria. This is the new destination for the weekend.

Some of the best traditional birria in the bay! Beef and goat birria is served they also have a tomato-based broth or choose traditional red broth. Neither will disappoint you. They don't nickel and dime you. Lastly, recently remodeled interior.

This is the most Tapatio place outside Guadalajara, Mexico! The birria, tacos, and even the Jarritos are authentic. The staff is nice, but the food is awesome. Come here early on Sundays, it can get crowded.

From the super cute ambiance, to the above and beyond customer service, to the great music, to the amazing food, to the super nice, generous manager. 10/10 recommend. Will definitely be going back! Had an awesome Friday night here with my coworker after a very rough day! This was definitely the highlight of our day! :) We will be back!!!

Delicious food and super tasty. If you get here early enough they have extra crispy birria which is the best! Lots of options to choose from whether it’s birria en consomé, en salsa, salsa and consomé on the side and anything in between. Fast and tasty would come here again. Quick note that the parking is small so we usually park on the street

Birria is good, well cooked & they give you all the fixings that come with it. They're hot sauce is really good too. If you're going to try it go, because the lady that works there said that meat prices are going up so more than likely so will their prices.

Can I give it more STARS. Yes that's how good this Birria is. I wish they did the Macho sausage like the old days. They cook this just like the old country in Zapotlanejo, Jalisco Mexico.

By far the most authentic birrieria I have been to, this has to be by far one of my favorite restaurants in the Bay area. You couldn't do any better if you flew to Jalisco.

The best goat birria in town! They offer two different broth's red and brown. The brown one is the way to go.

Excellent food service. If you want authenticity this is the place. The “birria” is amazing! El Potrillo now offers outside seating.

Wow this place is so amazing. The goat meat is so full of rich flavor . The menudo (tripe) is the best in all of California. Anyways come try it
