Crogan's Montclair

On my way up to Broadway Terrace to see the Kingfish about this and that and just had to stop at Crogan's and get a roast pork sandwich. Probably the best sandwiches in the East Bay.
Normally I have it on a French baguette with melted Monterey Jack cheese, but today I wanted it on the lighter side, because I've got a big todo, to do for that old nasty witch, Hazel Willslurpit up on Hardshaft Ridge.
She's asked me to pound in a fence post for her, so I'm taking Bucktooth Timmy with me to do the nasty work. He should have the job done in about 5 minutes. As I sat there waiting for Timmy to scream, all I could think about was how Amazing that Crogan's sandwich was it was Spectacular!

Went their with my family of 4 for my wife birthday. We loved this place. Service was great. We enjoy our first time visiting this business. Will return for more.

Beers and service are amazing - including managers, cooks, servers! We hosted a birthday party with 20 people and they were so accommodating and made it so easy. We recently went for a 49ers game and they get a good local crowd ! We’re gonna make it on a regular (after pickleball around the corner)!

Yummy salmon and a blue cheese wedge salad always good from here. Highly recommend

Cute little bar in MontClair. They had many tvs each playing something different. We tried an App of shrimp poppers and they were good but the portion size is small. This would be a fun place to watch games and eat apps and drinks for happy hour. I didn’t see a happy hour sign though

My local pub. I walk here to meet up with my buddies now and again. I really enjoyed the prime rib. Everything I’ve had to eat here has been pretty good. Sometimes the salmon is a little dry, but other than that the food has been good. Service can be slow when they are busy but staff is always friendly. Lots of tvs to catch a game too. If on the fence I say give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised my first time. Cheers 🍻

It was a great place to watch the Golden State Warriors win against the Dallas Mavericks.
Everyone in the restaurant was all involved in the game while eating their Magnificent meals.

Ok, so as an Irish fella I may be a wee bit biased, but be that as it may, this place makes me happy. I loved the Buffalo wings, the spicy fries are not to be missed, and they’ve got a great walnut salad. The spicy fries are so good my non-Irish spouse sometimes requests I pop down the hill just to bring some back for her. The drinks are perfectly delightful, and happy hour pricing is happy indeed. Staff have always been super friendly. The only thing I would argue for is adding some of the Irish gin and vodka out there to the repertoire. Happy this place is here in Montclair 🌞🌞🌞🌙🌙🌙🍀🍀🍀

Great family style Irish pub. Good for a meal or drinks as a meal!!

Pleasantly surprised. Had a very good meal here on a Sunday evening. Excellent service, spacious dining area, very good food. This is a sports pub/bar, so likely a different atmosphere when it is a game day. Our group had the chicken piccata, chicken linguine, kids menu mac and cheese and grilled cheese sandwich with fries. Everything was very good and flavorful. Nice mix of clientele - a very family friendly menu. Next time, will try the rib and beef entrees based on our good first experience. Cannot say enough about the attentive and efficient service - and prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.

Nice place. Good drinks and my burger was good, I had a bowl of ground beef and vegetable soup. although my burger might have given me the runs. I was visiting the bathroom all day long! 😞

Great local bar & restaurant.

For a fun Night Out, I simply love this place.
The Bar is bustling, but never intimidating.
Families come and go from this area all the time-- I see kids coloring in perfect bliss while their Parent/s sip a Beer or glass of wine.
And as a childless adult perched at the long wooden counter, it's so easy to feel cozy and special. ^^
The lighting is ideal for watching any of the Games, and the decor is appropriately sport-themed. I also haven't met a service member I didn't like; they're all friendly & prompt in attending to every detail. :)
The craft cocktails are exceptional-- it's really hard to pick a favorite. :D
The Wine & Beer List is well-rounded; pours are always very generous too!
As for the food, my Husband & I definitely have our Bar Faves-- the fried zucchini, the potato skins, etc-- all very comforting, addictive appetizers.
We sporadically get around to Main Courses, which are exactly how we hope -- all warm and satisfying. :D

I want to start by saying that the service here was outstanding.

We ordered the ribs and grilled fish tacos were perfect.

We also ordered fish that was grilled perfectly, the salsa was balanced

Overall, the food were all amazing and delicious

The staff were very friendly, and the server who assisted us in the table was so attentive and informative

He provide us everything that we needed immediately once we seated

The place is classy and any occasion you can celebrate here specially if it's a romantic celebration

Good neighborhood bar with a great bartender. Happy hour is really good with great chicken wings.

Had to update to 5 stars! Great staff, great patrons, really good food. If you're nearby you need to come.

Still great many years later

I had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, and my friend had the shepherds pie. Delicious. The shepherd pie is good for two.

I have been to this place more than a few times for some happy hour beers & snacks with a buddy or two. The bartenders are quick and friendly, the snack food is tasty and reasonably priced.

Never had a full sit down meal, but the menu looks pretty solid.

Kids get the club sandwich and we get cocktails. Great for after 5pm sat mass at Corpus Christi .
