Friendly staff and more personal than other supermarkets in area. Reasonably priced. Plenty of parking on the roof garage.

I love Safeway, so I don't have a bad thing to say..

Nice smaller store that usually has everything I need. The staff is friendly and efficient. Parking can get busy as a lot of the other businesses don’t have a parking lot.

The primary location my family goes to for our weekly groceries. The staff is the best! This location doesn't have a bakery, but they sometimes carry a small batch of bakery items.

They are open late. Until midnight. They have really great cashier's there,really fast checkers that can multi task and still have the strength to try to be pleasant to the next person. Thumbs up safeway

The staff and clerks are friendly courteous. I see this store more like a "Safeway Mini Market" Price for certain foods are higher than most Safeway stores in Oakland because of the daily thievery from the homeless, youth and your typical crooks that live in the area. Therefore, big list grocery shopping should be done at their larger stores. Overall, management appears to try their very best to provide quality customer service. So I give this Fruitvale district store 5 stars 👏

Smallest Safeway I use, but the nicest clerks running the registers. Shopping here 22 years, it was my favorite, it is my favorite, it probably always will be my favorite. Clerks and stockers are nice to customers, nice to each other, questions are answered, stuff gets found if its there. Live yeast. Marsala wine for chicken. Non-fat cottage cheese. Ground buffalo. Rocky and Rosy chicken, and Bruce whats-his-name's sausages.

The vegetables are fresher and better displayed than at the bigger stores. Reasonable organic/conventional mix. I haven't used the deli counter. Everything else is as good as any Safeway is ever going to be. And the people who work there make it the best.

One change? They stock the local Everett & Jones "Medium" BBQ sauce. My family prefer "Mild" and I get it somewhere else.

They actually have black olives which I love! They don't have alot of chip options the day I went but the olives made up for it.she gave me great customer service

Clean and neat. I was able to find what I needed without help. One of the employees helped me shop as a had a broken foot and was on crutches, which I don't think is typical but super helpful given the situation.

Great store small but very complete and stocked. Always great service. My only complaint is cart shortages but maybe from non customers idk

Safeway it's a good, safe, reliable store. I like the eclectic selections, it's an adventure, also they will order anything they don't have, so easy peasy. Staff is usually friendly. 👍

The Safeway where you only go to grab a few things and run out. Very small, claustro, maneuvering skillfully while saying "excuse me" to everyone. But otherwise straightforward small neighborhood market type Safeway. People are nice.

Safeway always has deals for their shoppers. The clerks are nice. Pharmacy team is nice.

Ok, customer service impeccable. Bought unplanned case of water and the cashier went and got me a cart.(yes! the cashier I tell ya😲) The customers were even helpful, not all snobby and stuff. 🎶Loving it🎶

I thought I reviewed this Safeway before, but it’s an awesome neighborhood one that reminds me of the grocery stores of yesteryear!

One of the smaller, older Safeway's in the region but still a shining example of why they're the best. The staff is always wonderfully helpful and courteous.

The shelves were stocked well. Social distancing guidelines maintained. Environment of store clean. Staff very friendly.

The entrance here sometimes straches my bumper, but then again the overall city construction and layout is to blame and not Safeway. I wish public works would take care of places like this.

They have all kinds of food! The employees are generally helpful. It's like going to the grocery store! Good thing you have a cell phone to explain it to you.
