Tom is a really nice guy. He really took the time to understand my son's play style before offering advice on a new racquet and stringing. Not tied to a single brand so we had a wide selection. A must visit for tennis players in the east bay.

Wonderful little tennis shop. The owner is super knowledgeable about his product which is nice to see in this day and age, plus he’s happy to convey his knowledge. They know all about racket stringing and the technical stuff which makes a real difference. Bought a great pair of impossible to find tennis sneakers and extra support insoles here last week. Definitely a place to buy from again. Way better than Amazon or a big box sports retailer

Tom is great! I just bought my first-ever pair of court shoes (pickleball!) and Tom took the time to measure my feet & make sure I got the right size. I insisted I wear an 8.5 and he insisted, and showed me, that I’m actually an 8. NHe also turned me on to a great pair of supportive socks. I wore my new KSwiss shoes & socks playing last night & they felt great!

Tom’s the best - authentic, knowledgeable and helpful. We drive here nearly every weekend from SF to see him :)

I called the shop to ask about getting help picking a tennis racquet for my girlfriend and they were incredibly kind and helpful. It is clear that Tom (the guy running the shop) is passionate and knowledgable. I feel really good about the racquet I got and I know a whole lot more about racquets than I did before I went in. He had everything strung and ready to go in less than 24 hours. I'm super happy and I can't wait to need more tennis things so I can go to this shop. Tom is the best! Montclair Sports is a great shop for our sporting goods needs. Tom has sold us skis, ski boots, tennis rackets, running shoes, etc. His prices are competitive, and Tom is great at pointing us in the right direction. It’s nice to see businesses like this still operating, it truly is a blessing to have a shop like this in our neighborhood!

Superb personal service! Excellent curated selection of shoes, sporting goods and stylish apparel. Everything they sell is top quality. Love the convenient ski/snowboard rental service. Tom, the owner, custom ordered narrow hiking boots for me - that's service! A Montclair gem!

The owner Tom Revelli is a local treasure. The pandemic led to the closure of the original store, so Tom seamlessly downshifted to a tennis-only shop in an office space above the old store.

Tom brought with him his customer-centric retail DNA - I've been a loyal customer for more than 20 years. He asks after my kids when I stop in - he met them when they were little, now they are grown women who live on the East Coast, but that hasn't changed Tom's connection with them. He remembers the details of your sporting goods needs and past purchases - he seems as concerned about getting me into the right extra-wide sneakers as I am.

49er legend Ronnie Lott is famous for having had the tip of a finger amputated - everyone asks to see it when they meet him. Tom is less famous but he too has given his body for his team - when he's not doing other things he's always stringing racquets, and if you look at his hands, you can see the price he has paid to service his customers over the decades.

Regarding the selection, it's all tennis obviously. It's a small shop but if he doesn't have it in stock, he'll order it for you, so Montclair Sports remains a destination for local tennis players.

Been coming here for years. Found that when I need quality ski equipment this is the place. They have ordered stuff for me, made adjustments, provided advice. We have rented, purchased and browsed here often.

This little gem had exactly what we needed in a pinch ! A basketball at 5 pm !!! What a nice owner too . He was a pleasant man to give our business too.
