Excellent place to start your Chinatown visit!

If you need restrooms, there a Starbucks just across the street from here.

Chinatown here in SF is quite nice! Very clean and the lanterns are a very nice touch. As one might expect, there are a lot of gift shops clustered mostly around the first couple of streets but as you go deeper into Chinatown, you’ll see a larger variety of shops.

Chinatown was my favorite place in San Francisco. There is so much to see, buy, and eat. I recommend walking in every store because they have secret gems. The prices are reasonable. The people are friendly and helpful. We loved it so much, we went back three times. They recommended cash. You get a better deal. Weekends are busier. Best time to go in late morning to afternoon. Some places close early, especially restaurants.

Historical landmark entrance into Chinatown SF! Chinatown SF is huge with a variety of vendors, grocers, and restaurants to check out! Really neat area in town to explore Asian cuisine & culture.

231115We. Definitely you will find here many stuff at good prices. The stores located farther away from the gate are the cheapest I guess. Go through all china town Grand Av and find souvenirs and food and many other things at good prices.

I’ve always love San Francisco. Love all of the restaurant and the little shop along China town strip. It is so beautiful at night especially the holidays. However, just be careful with your surroundings.

Such colorful and bright streets especially to walk at night. I love the vibrant culture just beside the downtown zone.

Best hangout place to meet and to experience the culture of China.

This is a popular tourist spot. Go there, take a selfie and enjoy Chinatown. It might be challenging to get a nice picture, though, as this place always seems to be crowded. Apparently this was a gift from China to the city of San Francisco.

It was great! Made our own fortune cookie and she threw in a lot of extra cookies for free. They are good!

There's a lot of good restaurants and little shops for your souvenirs. I would recommend going here earlier as they do close early on the weekends.

Someone should have written it is an active business street where cars are driving. The fate is easily missed when driving by. But the area is amazing to walk, explore, and experience.

The classic entrance to San Francisco's famous Chinese neighborhood.
More shops now than restaurants, keep that in mind if objective was getting food.
Certainly a must-see if you are in SF for the first time.

Coming here it is a very cool experience, i've been to other cities chinatowns and they are not like this, in here you could really feel that you are walking through the streets of china for a bit, everything cha ges, all the ambient, people and suddenly you find yourself between thousands of people and surrounded by local and traditional stores, would recommend stopping by

We saw the dragon gate, checked out a few shops in Chinatown, and ate at an authentic looking Chinese restaurant a few blocks up from the gate. There were even people playing Asian musical instruments that we had never seen before.

The Dragon Gate is the entrance to San Francisco Chinatown. It is located on Grant Street and Bush. The walk from Union Square is somewhat a challenge for my sisters and me.

We grew up in Oakland Chinatown, but we like coming here to window shop and get Chinese sausage (lol cheong) from Wycen in the heart of this shopping district.

San Francisco Chinatown is also a tourist attraction. Since we're from across the bay, we play tourists to have a little fun.
