Pasta Pelican Restaurant

Great restaurant, great service, great food, very nice view and atmosphere. This was my first time here but I will definitely be going back. I had the Spicy Thai Linguine which was great. The apple walnut “pie” was great too.

I’m a fan of Pasta Pelican, one of the few restaurants in Alameda with nice waterfront access and views. The food is good. I’m especially fond of the grilled salmon salad. The service is fine, generally waitstaff is attentive and responsive. The atmosphere is lovely, it’s pretty low key, a combination of family friendly and fine dining Italian style!

Food was amazing . The service was extraordinary! They took great care of us even when we just arrived at the closing time. They did not rush us and made sure our experience was good!
The drinks were great. The bruschetta and chicken pasta tasted excellent. Would definitely come back to try other items on their menu.

First time experience for us. One of us is local, the other is visiting. Overall it was a good experience but in terms of standard hospitality experience.... the food was delicious, the views were beautiful, the wine list was large and the prices were reasonable.

But some noticeable details:
The entire restaurant was uncomfortably warm when outside was *not*, the acoustics need to be treated (aka really loud bouncing noise), there was conflicting music, and our server seemed fluent in a different language which was difficult to stay caught up with.

We went on a Monday evening and there was no wait.
I'd come back and/or recommend!

My wife and I celebrated our 27 year wedding anniversary at Pasta Pelican and everything was just perfect and I mean perfect. Why do I sound so surprise?

The last time my wife and I went to Pasta Pelican was about 5 years ago. The service and food were not good at all. I don't know what changes they've made but man has it paid off.

Our server could not have been more attentive and this was way before he knew we were there celebrating a special day. He was accommodating and just simply happy, which was contagious. There were no hiccups in service or the food. My filet mignon was cooked to perfection and when I tried my wife's salmon and it was just as good. The drinks were a celebration by themselves and the atmosphere was joyous. We also had a moving museum as we watched boat after boat go by our window. Some looked like they should be on display rather than the water.

The food, the service, the atmosphere, the patrons - it all worked very well. We're definitely coming back.

Like the historical value and location of this venue. Most of the menu is delicious. I just wish the croutons for the salad were fresh. Please fix that motor in the handicap elevator. Love the view

The best food I ever had in a while with moderate prices. The food was presented exquisitely. The wagyu burger exploded in flavor and the fries were crispy and crunchy.

Come here to take your time and enjoy the delicious food, waterfront atmosphere and incredible marine view. Fresh minced garlic and Parmesan melt into the soft and crusty fresh from the oven bread along with the olive oil. (And that's just to tide you over!) Anchovy affirms the authentic Caesar. Meatballs and marinara, a classic. Nutmeg and cream are the stars of the American Alfredo. Finish with dessert and a tawny port and your meal is a complete event. Cheers!

Our favorite place to go with our kids and we’re always treated like family here.
Burger/fries, appetizers and pasta are great. Nice place to come on a lunch date. They have a fireplace to keep you warm and plenty of bread to keep you full. End the night with dessert and coffee.

Omggggg was looking for an Italian food place to go to for my Birthday Dinner and stumbled across this one.... and let me tell youuuu, from the Atmosphere to the FOOD, TO THE VIEW! EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!! This place is a most deff new go-to Italian delight for me and my family!!! Their service is delightful, their food taste soooo fresh, and hardy yet not heavy on your tummy, it was light and delicious!! And their starter BREAD IS AMAZINGLYsoft with delicious oil, cheese, and garlic spread on the side!! DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE in little Alameda CA on the water, it's a MUST GO TO IF IN THE AREA!! Pricing and Drinks aren't bad either...

First time here, food was good, service excellent,waiting is minimum for the food got our drinks and appetizer very fast, thank you for the birthday detail that was amazing

great views, great food. gluten free pasta tastes great, the caprese is classic, and although my bf would've liked more raviolis than 4, the taste made up for it! can't wait to come back next time we're in Alameda!

I love Pasta Pelican. This was my 2nd time attending an event there and the food and staff are always on point. I love the location right across from an inn, and the beautiful views the restaurant shares with Jack London Square which is right across the water. A great place to go to for date night or if youre looking for a nice place to eat for family night. The atmosphere is always warm and cozy. Not quite family prices, but with the quality of the food and service I believe are worth every bite.

I have been going since i was a baby (2yrs old) with my family and we have always enjoyed it. 22 years later it is still my most favorite restaurant. Very kind and helpful waiters, owners are so kind also. Definitely make you feel welcomed and like family❤ the food is AMAZING! Their calamari is to heaven, Pollo de spinach is my favorite but I have had almost everything on the menu- I love it all and the deserts 🤤 delicious! and even with the pandemic, outdoor seating is such a nice option

I can not wait to go back in April for my anniversary (and of course probably before that 😜)

Can't believe we never tried this before. Classic old school Italian. The menu was so good it was hard to decide. They opened the 2nd floor to accommodate the busy night so we sat at a window overlooking dusk on the estuary. And the prices were very reasonable.

Pretty awesome view of the Christmas light boat parade. Food exquisite, service is wonderful. Even if it's really busy, you need to realize the servers are human beings and to cut them some slack. I hate grumpy people who think that the wait staff is there just for them. Super great Alameda institution. Wpot to the woot woot 🙌

Delish! The ambiance, location, wait staff and food quality-laden! No waiting, all staff very attentive and thoughtful! My first time with my besties and we had a nice time!👍

I went there to pick up a gift card for a friend well I was there waiting for the gift card I ended up making two new friends ordering something to take home and the views are excellent It's overlooking the bay and Jack London Square it's an old rustic Redwood shingle building two stories very nice inside very good food great Waiters
