This a small gem of a park. I rated 5 for the following reasons. For a small town park, this has a lot to offer. A beautiful, scenic lawn for reading a book on a blanket below a large tree, or sitting on a bench. It has a wonderful children's playground, good drinking fountains, a beautiful entrance, and some history associated w the location. If you have 4 legged children, there is an area behind the park which offers a dog park. This is unlike any you will have visited, it is a series of trails below redwoods where you can allow your puppy off leash. Great place for a warm day for your dog. I will be visiting often😊

Beautiful park that's fun to explore. Be sure to stop by the small Japanese garden and enjoy the lovely stairs. The playground was cute and the restrooms were clean, a perfect park for all to enjoy.

This is one of my favorite local parks to visit. It is beautiful with many places to settle in for a nice picnic or hanging out. It is never too crowded and the people that go there tend to be friendly. There is a playground for young children as well with a public restroom that is pretty clean. This park also leads into hiking trails which is beautiful. The whole park is dog friendly too, but they need to be on leash. I highly recommend a visit!

Beautiful, redwood and hardwood grounds with glades and well kept venues, including a scenic hall & tea house. This public park is a gem.

Perfect place for a picnic! There's a nice little playground, but if the little ones get bored or you're there with the dog, it's nice to walk around. There are some beautiful paths alongside a creek as well as a Japanese style garden, big lawn areas and tennis courts.

A great series of paved paths that are dog friendly (you can be off leash). It's pretty much in the trees so lots of shade and some decent hills. Connects you to Piedmont High and the main park.

Beautiful place to sit and catch a breath of fresh air with lovely trees to appreciate. Have not walked complely through the park but so far great spot to visit for yourself or with family. Curb parking and pet friendly.

Had a really good time here. The trail has some steep parts but it was paved and easy to navigate- even while social distancing. There is plenty of free nearby parking and enough shade to make for a cool break if it is a warm sunny day. One of the best parts is the bathroom- nowadays you can't count on a bathroom but it was open and clean.

Beautiful well maintained, paved trails and lovely park. Dogs are allowed off leash. Can be tricky to find parking, but it's worth it. I love the waterfalls in the middle of the short trails. Doesn't feel like you're in the middle of a city. A small Oasis! Great for older dogs as there's not too much elevation change and it's all paved so you don't have to worry much about ticks or poison oak.

As one may expect, Piedmont Park is well maintained as the city of Piedmont is resourceful. I like the Cascade which is an artificial stream and waterfall in the park. A semi-natural water feature is a rare found a bone dry California. There are also very good quality wooden benches for people to rest. The lawn is green and well watered.

It has like a mini forest trail in it. It's really good. You can walk dogs without a leash here.

I had the privilege of attending a truly remarkable wedding at Piedmont Park in Piedmont, and I must say, it was anything but typical for a park setting. The event took place in a stunning forested area within the park, and the outdoor setup was nothing short of magical.

What made this wedding even more unique was that it was a traditional Chinese wedding, and they managed to cook everything right there on site. The aromas of delicious Chinese cuisine filled the air, adding an extra layer of authenticity and charm to the day.

The forested backdrop lent an enchanting atmosphere to the ceremony, and as the day transitioned into evening, the setting took on an ethereal quality with the soft glow of lanterns and fairy lights.

One noteworthy aspect of this wedding was the time restriction - the party had to end at 8 pm. Surprisingly, this limitation didn't detract from the experience. In fact, it added a sense of intimacy and allowed everyone to fully savor the day without the pressure of a late-night celebration.

Overall, the combination of Piedmont Park's natural beauty, the unique cultural elements of the traditional Chinese wedding, and the on-site cooking made this wedding an unforgettable and extraordinary experience. It showcased the park's versatility and its ability to host exceptional events beyond the ordinary.

Very beautiful park (I mean I expect nothing less from Piedmont). Very kid and family friendly. There’s also a nice walking trail that I’ve done a few times.

My favorite sitting spot is by the Wells Fargo area and police station which always gives me anxiety because I’m a black woman sitting in a park in a significantly white neighborhood.

Also the squirrels here are cute and seem to be more welcoming of humans so don’t be alarmed, just don’t feed them.

Nice clean park. Great open grassy area. Big play structure surrounded by sand. Today swings are located close to the structure. Great for playdates and parties. Bathroom close by, only one stall.

Just a quiet park in Piedmont to stoll and chill with the family, away from the busy parks in Oakland.

I love love this place. I love being able to be in a lush forest so close to home with a waterfall. This is a fantastic place to bring your dog for a walk. People are friendly there. I also love to just sit on the lawn and read. If I walk on the hills they have railings to help older people like myself pull yourself up. I get such a wonderful vibe being here. A little wonderful secret in Piedmont.
