My daughter's preschool was on Park St, which made it easy to pick up breakfast at Highwire on the walk back after dropping her off. Now that she's in kindergarten I don't have the easy excuse to drop by as often, but still try to make it when I can. Even with coming by much less frequently the staff still remember my name, which I find amazing given how bad I am at names, and the service is always friendly and prompt even when they're busy. I especially like the seasonal drinks, and my daughter loves the apple juice. My go-to is usually one of the seasonal drinks and a bagel and cream cheese or these muffins they have that have an egg inside (did I mention I'm bad with names?).

Highwire Coffee Roasters in Alameda delivers excellent crafted coffee. Whether you have it to stay or to go it’s delicious every time. Cappuccino are immaculate!

One of my favorite spots for coffee in the Bay Area! It is not a sit down coffee shop unless you are willing to sit outside, but it is phenomenal. Always enjoy coming here and the staff are amazing too!

Best coffee I've had in a long while. Pastries are excellent too, and you can opt to enjoy them at one of the tables out front--coffee tastes better when it's not in a paper cup.

When Highwire arrived in Alameda, great coffee was hard to come by. Highwire really takes coffee making to an art, but in a timely and efficient manner.

One star loss mainly due to parking. If you're driving and looking to grab a cup on your way out of town, then give yourself +5 - 10 minutes to find parking. Sometimes the Parking gods will be on your side and you'll find a spot on Park street right out front of the shop. Otherwise, take a cruise down San Jose Ave, San Antonio Ave. or parallel Oak street to find parking.

They also offer dog treats for your pup as well as a 'doggie parking' area where you can tie your dog up right out front before entering the very small store front.

Keep in mind this is a grab and go spot, or sit out front and enjoy your coffee while people watching. This is not a place to bring a laptop and work from for multiple hours as they don't offer wifi.

All in all, Highwire is one of our favorite spots, one we visit weekly!

Great yummy drinks and foods, with a super kind and patient staff. I live nearby and go here all the time, and feel lucky that the different workers know my name and vice-versa. The matcha is of amazing quality and their pastries are delicious.

Love the coffee. I sometimes drive 10 minutes out of my way to get chai or coffee from here. Their mochi muffins & other snacks are good, too.

I don't think they have proper food, and it's just a grab & go sort of place. No tables/seating situation. (Or so I remember)

A wonderful little coffee shop & roaster, serving delicious coffee drinks, including specialty drinks! I had a specialty latte and it was amazing. I've also had their drip coffee at home and it's delicious as well. Highly recommend!

Great coffee and atmosphere at the Alameda location. I love that they offer vegan cream cheese to go with their bagels too. Don't miss out on their tea either!!

Loved it! The coffee options are simple. The place is a very cute hole-in-the-wall. The staff are very friendly. Sipping my “cup of coffee” outside on an early weekday morning let me people-watch the fascinating passers-by.

For one, the coffee is amazing, let's just put that out there as a baseline. The baristas are all really friendly and skilled. Consistency is key when looking for a local coffee shop. Highly recommend this spot if your looking for a traditional cup of coffee. Price point is what you would expect from a place of this standard. Thanks highwire staff and thanks for opening a shop in Alameda! It's my daily stop.

My absolute favorite coffee shop now (and not just because it’s next door to my work.) The staff is all extremely friendly and awesome, the drinks are absolutely delicious (especially the dirty chai that I also got my mom hooked on,) and their baked goods are super good too! Overall, I am so glad to have them as an addition to Park Street and always thankful they can fuel me up for the day 😊

Probably the best tasting coffee in Alameda but not a lot of seating space. Great if you want coffee to go! Baristas are honest & helpful!

This is my favorite local coffee shop. The staff is great and the coffee is excellent. Limited outdoor seating and no indoor seating.

Great to have another option in Alameda and it doesn't take away from my visits to Julie's, The Local or Little House - it just adds more variety. Delicious coffee, great beans for home brewing and very easy access

These folks know me and my dog, always have treats and great coffee.
