Books Inc.

A fine store. I went in to get some gift cards for Xmas. They have lots of games and toys too. Staff was nice enough. I definitely want to support that local business. There's a Public parking lot near by and some other cool shops to peruse. Head on in!

A real bookstore! Browsing books on a shelf is hard to beat. Also a good selection of kids stuff if you need something last minute for a birthday party.

So happy to visit a place that isn't a big box store. The employees were knowledgeable and were able to direct me to books that aligned with my interest. Store was clean and well stocked. Great place to take a child and let them explore for their first book.

Terrific bookstore, the kind you want to duck inside on a rainy day. Very kind, helpful folk working there, huge selection..and you can't beat supporting a hometown bookstore.

It was really nice place. There was enough of a variety that I could bring my kids and they would find something they would enjoy. My wife was able to find stuff that she needed for a school assignment and I found a few books I would have gotten if money wasn't tight. I will definitely bring my kids here atleast once in their life to find a good book worth reading together as a family.

Everyone working on here are splendid; they know the store and are all ver welcoming, patient and helpful! They will answer all your questions and, if they don't have what you are looking for, they will fit sure get it for you.

My daughter loves to come here. We come at least once a week for a book.

One of our favorite places in Park St.

For a small chain bookseller, and the Alameda store having not much square footage, their selections of categories and individual titles are impressive. Clean and well lighted. And, I have never been in any bookstore where the staff did not love what they do and Books, Inc folks are of that persona.
My most recent visit was to order a title* that was published 2 years before I was born and that I fully expected to be out of print. But the book hound behind the counter searched diligently and ...success! Tonight, I am enjoying Bernard Malamud's "The Natural"*

The best small town bookstore around.

Love this small bookstore for its large selection paperback fiction. The non-fiction also good with many arrivals available. On downside, it has only small selection on business and computer books. Overall, it's a great bookstore with kind helpful staff and a fairly large number of magazine titles to choose from as well.

Book's Inc is a wonderful old fashion book store that prides it self on customer service and selection. If they don't have it, they will get it for you. It is really nice to be able to handle a book and skim it before buying it. Get a true feel for it. Miss those days and this store still provides that top notch service. They do offer senior discounts.

Such a cute bookstore. I tend to come here multiple times a week just to see what’s new, what’s on sale, and what’s in their “last chance” shelf. It’s right across the street from a great coffee shop so definitely stop by, get a book, and go read :)

Great little store. Well-staffed with helpful and enthusiastic people. If they don't have it, they'll order it and call you when it's in. It's a wonderful place to reinforce the kids' love of reading, especially when the libraries' hours are getting cut.

Love having a local bookstore. I'd much rather order online from them than Amazon. Books come really fast and they do pick up in store as well as delivery.

Best book store to buy gifts at. The workers are very helpful and friendly. I could spend hours here looking around. I love their political section. Very socially conscious book store.

Haven on Park! I could (and do..) spend hours in this place. We're so lucky to be walking distance from such a great book shop. Selection is great and staff has always been helpful in ordering books to the shop if they don't already have it. A plus - they have a discount for teachers!

Books Inc is the last of the great independent book stores. It's always stocked with a large variety of books, but in case the book you want is not there, the staff will order any book and have it available in as little as two days. Plus they support writers and have book launches and readings frequently. Books Inc is a terrific alternative to Amazon and by purchasing books at Books Inc. you support a local business that gives back to the community.
