Chochenyo Park

Great place for a picnic or a stroll! This small park feels like half a block wide and a couple blocks long, in the middle of a quaint neighborhood, just off of the main Park Street shopping area.

It's basically a large lawn with lots of trees and a simple paved path snaking its way through. There are several park benches and a couple of picnic tables littered throughout.

We came here for a picnic of 20 people on Sunday afternoon and it was nice and quiet, with plenty of spaces with shade on the lawn. It wasn't busy at all with maybe four or five other small groups hanging out in the park.

Nice park for a walk. Nice sidewalk, dog friendly, well lit.

Used to be called 'Jackson Park' but all the kids called it 'Crackson Park' due to the open drug use!

This is a really nice park to just take your kids to run around and climb the trees. It’s usually fairly quiet. You can use the little paths to jog or ride bikes slowly. Have a picnic on the grass.

Periodically, you might encounter people who take their dogs and play catch with them without a leash even though that is completely against ordinance. Most often you can tell them to stop.

Spacious. Clean. Different people doing different mellow kid-friendly park things. Minimal traffic. Easy walk to park street. Great spot!

Always peaceful and quiet here. One of the few grassy areas with a playground to provide one with deafening screaming! It was clean and the neighbors are friendly. Great place for a quiet picnic.

I like it ..plenty of space..and very big trees that provide plenty of shade to enjoy laid down on the grass...the only con is about the parking..u have to find a a spot around the park ..and some times is full with cars park..

Great place to walk n observe nature. Weather permitting the locals do Aerobics etc. Lotsa friendly people. Great place to walk your animal companion or just sit and be at one with nature. Great for cruising the big boys and girls. Lotsa kids run n play here.

It's a beautiful park in the middle of two blocks. I walk with my dog there every day and it always has people enjoying it.

Beautiful urban park in Alameda, CA with ample shade from mature trees, parking, tables and benches to sit and enjoy the sun or shade. Close to many restaurants, bars, and other shops of all types.

Great Park to meet up with friends and have a socially distanced bite to eat. I wish the kiosk was used by local bands and other musicians... At least on the weekends.

Clean, safe, perfect for running around, taking kids for a bike 🚲 ride, having a picnic, or reading a book 📚 on one of the benches.

This is a great place to enjoy your lunch in the park or parked in a shady spot. Nice scenery and clean.

My 1st job post college grad, needed SPACE since my sister had been brutally murdered and it served its place for a bit.........I still loved the ambience!

Cute, small, and quiet park with play structure for the kiddos. Positioned right in the middle of a neighborhood. Houses on each side of you.

Not crowded and people around are friendly..

You don't see very many gazebos these days, but Jackson Park has one!! A living time tunnel back to the 1890s, just like much of Alameda
