All bookstores get 5 stars. Part of the enjoyable experience of downtown San Rafael. Well stocked inventory with good sales tables. Good greeting card inventory.

The store is beautiful, well stocked, and the staff are friendly and helpful. They have great book recommendations. The store even has gift wrapping during the holidays done by a nonprofit organization that helps at risk youth.

I love this store. There seems to be less book stores, making this even more special. There are so many books you could stay for hours. The coffee shop (store within a store) is great too. I have bought gifts here, they have some unique cards and gifts. Last visit I bought an Atlas. It was a 2019 version for 20$. Its exactly what I wanted. Then I left as I could spend a lot of time buying books, etc. Check it out, even just for coffee. I think you would buy books even if you didn't plan too. I am really happy to have this store on 4th Street. Happy reading!

There has not been a good book store for a long time and I fell so now the building up and extending it so this is going to be a great bookstore and they already are great in the small place imagine when the big place is going to be open I'm looking forward send to open in Giant Store I know people like to read books thank goodness it's never going to get us down so come down have a cup of coffee read a good book see people talk to people enjoy yourself there's very few places left now in San Rafael where you can actually socialize and be great

Slightly smaller version of the venerable Sonoma County Copperfields, with a very popular coffeeshop inside, in downtown San Rafael. Good choice of kids books for niece's birthday, plus plenty that caught my eye. New books.

We frequently go out of our way to visit Copperfield's when traveling. It seems all of their stores are clean, well organized, and have a fantastic selection that is well curated. It's what a bookstore should be.

When I worked in Petaluma for 10+ years I fell in love with Copperfield's Books. This place feels just like the mother-store. A great community bookstore.
