Got my haircut here, I love the vibes of the place. Jessica did an amazing job on my hair!! Scheduling was easy, she was very kind and professional I definitely recommend her! The garage behind the shop offers free handicap parking and is a short, easy walk!

recently went in and they got me in at the last minute. i didn’t know what to do with my hair and i left with my confidence back!!! Trung was AMAZING and made me feel so comfortable and was so having someone who knew what to do with my crazy amount of hair. 10/10 can’t wait to go back again!

Called in first thing in the morning and got an appointment for 20 minutes later. I actually really enjoy their system of not having appointments booked out weeks in advance.

Got linked up with a great stylist named K. Was in and out and looking fresh as can be, all for a reasonable price point given today's standards.

I was visiting from out of town and got a haircut from Kay (K?). Over a week later and this is still one of the best cuts I've had from anywhere in the past 5 years. Back home, I try a new barber nearly once a month and come away with so many negative experiences (i.e. stinking of cigarette smoke while loudly complaining venomously about colleagues and heedlessly chopping any old shape out of my hair regardless of my requests is the NORM for a $50+ cut back home). But here at The Shop, Kay was professional, personal, present and .. just really cool! She made me feel instantly relaxed. We had a pleasant chat while she was attentive to the cut, and she made sure I was happy with the results before I left the chair. The space was very welcoming. And the price was incredible given the quality, service and location. I'm confident that the next time I'm in town and get a cut here I'll have the same experience. Very pleased.

My tween-age daughters love having their haircut at The Shop. Trung does a great job with their long hair and is very kind, cool and easy to work with. He did a fabulous job with their semi-permanent color.

This place was AMAZING and so affordable. Great service will be going here from now on.

Food was fantastic. I thought the prices were a little high until I saw the food come out. Portions are very large. Reminded me of a classic southern breakfast.

Great cuts, Friendly staff, nice decor. They do a great job with scheduling. Complimentary beverages before and during your cut, hot wet wipe and lollipops after your cut. In the unlikely event you have to wait for your appointment, they have several tvs to watch. Thank goodness we have this place in San Rafael.

Great stylists. I like the “call the day of” appointment system. I can plan my day but do not have to plan a month out.

Recently dyed my hair teal here, and service was above and beyond! Worked with my complicated hair situation and managed to turn my hair an even better color than I could have imagined ! My stylist was very knowledgeable, patient, and an amazing person all around. So happy with my results!!! Will def be coming back

The shop is great. Very professional. I took my two kids here after them getting their hair butchered by two other salons. They sat them down and gave them the best cuts they have ever had. Actually my mom liked them so much that she went back to get her haircut too. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for professionals who take pride in their work.

Good for a quick buzz cut. Same day appointment, fair prices and cool people.

I love edmon!! He is so nice and talented. I got a great wolf cut about a year ago that progressed into a mullet and he did an awesome job the whole time

Elaina cut my hair and gave me a straight razor shave. Overall great experience, Lagunitas or water while you wait, friendly service, but most importantly a solid haircut at a reasonable price. I walked in and was out within an hour, with a shave..

Just got one of the best haircut and beard trims ever.

Nice place, enjoyable vibe. I get my haircut by AJ and she's fantastic. Fun to talk to and does a great job with no more instructions than 'please make it look good'.

The couple times I’ve been here I’ve gotten great service, an excellent haircut, and a solid price; couldn’t ask for more from a barbershop.

Update: This has been my go-to barber for over a year now and I continue to be consistently satisfied!

When it comes making rash decisions about going short, don’t do it. Consult an expert first. The expert I consulted was Shizae (sp?). SO glad I did! She is a master of her craft and I’m THRILLED with my much needed mommy makeover. I highly recommend her as a stylist. She’s got it down pat! Thank you Shizae!

Beth was awesome!!! Just a word of warning, call at least an hour ahead and get your name on the list. Walk-ins are welcome, but you may end up waiting a while.

Great place for a haircut. My favorite stylist is A. J. but everyone there seems super nice and all professional.
