Java Detour

I so thankful for a quick and convenient drive thru coffee fix in busy downtown San Rafael! The people who I assume are the owners are very attentive and friendly. I like the huge variety of options and I’ll be getting some cold treats for sure once it warms up!

Your standard drive-thru coffee joint, with greater than average selection and quality of food. What makes it exceptional is the pleasant staff. I have never been disappointed in how I was met by the folks at Java Detour.

I Love that they are open at 5am! The nicest people you can imagine and wonderful coffee!

Employees were very polite & attentive to my order. I got the Reese’s mocha blend, tasted exactly like a Reese’s candy I really enjoyed it!

Drive thru coffee shop with 2 lanes. A little hut serves hot and cold coffee and non coffee drinks. They are really good. I recommend the pumpkin bread along with a vanilla latte or mocha. Can be served hot or cold. Both very good. I never wait long and the staff usually comes out to greet you and take your order. Leave tips, they are super friendly and drinks are worth it!

Great customer service. We had a big order and they got it all to us in a short amount of time, with out one mistake. We stopped here because we didn't want to go to the big chain coffee shops, and we are glad we did. The food and the coffee were great.

Very good blended drinks and breakfast foods! There are two drive through windows, so you get get there from either side! Very good service. They come out to the car to take your order if the line is longer, and it's pretty much ready by the time you get to the window.

I wish i had photos to post also but I just saw a review on Java Detour and had to put in my two cents! I also love Java Detour they're always polite they're always kind and I got to say their coffees, Blended, whatever they are so much better than that other place with the star in it and are a much better value ! They are a drive up juice and coffee place. Their service is friendly, informative& accomodating as I was a wee bit overwhelmed with choices & the desire to try them all!😋 They also offer snacks like bagel dogs to vegetarian sandwhichs, drinks and snacks are competively priced. They are conviently located on a corner with two ways in and out. The Java Detour is worth taking a detour for a Smoothie or your favorite coffee concoction.💯☕🥭🥤

Java detour is fast convenient clean , good coffee . Just pull in place your order, no need to get out of your car and go inside and stand in line , the best drive thru cup of coffe

I go here on a daily basis. I carefully constructed Mom and Pop with trusty consistent tasty food and beverage. Meander the menu, you can't go wrong.

Frozen yogurt that one can tell actually started with yogurt (i.e. not painfully sweet)

The decaf coffee is excellent: a hint of fruitiness without a cloying taste

I LOVE this place and go multiple times a week. They have fresh smoothies, yummy breakfast sandwiches, and high quality coffee...all without having to get out of my car!

Very convenient way to get coffee or drinks without having to park a car. They also have easy breakfast and snack. The staff there are friendly and attentive.

Honestly way better than I expected. The bacon egg sandwich is just what you want in a bodega style breakfast and if you like sweet coffees they’re what you want

They have so many good coffees and Coco's and the associates are so friendly they're always smiling whenever I go there.

Love there white chocolate mocha Blended whipped cream 20 oz is only $5 great value and the service is awesome
