I have traveled a fair amount in developing countries, and can see the unique challenges / complexity of Cuba beyond anything we've seen in places like Colombia, Cambodia, etc. We are SO happy that we went with CTAG and had a dedicated driver and guide.

I feel like we talked for 120 straight hours with Yosvany, our guide. He absolutely made the trip with his deep understanding of Cuba's history and willingness to share his own life experiences - that context was critical for understanding what we saw, and you don't always encounter that depth with a tour guide, no matter how good their language skills are. His grasp of logistics and handling changes to the itinerary were also impressive, we really felt spoiled just getting to hop in the backseat and having everything fall in place ahead of us.

Travel is always a privilege and something that we don't take for granted, and I think Yosvany was as good as it gets anywhere in the industry. We will recommend CTAG to everyone, and congrats on the team that you have built there. It's very impressive. Would give 6 stars if I could!

I traveled in Nov/Dec. 2023 and had a blast. I found this company at a travel show at the NY Javits Center so I took a chance having no experience with them.Everything was booked at the last minutes, other then a slight confusion of where to meet in Havana, I had a blast. The team stuck to the itinerary and was able to accommodate additional requests. My tour guide, Yosvany, was great in visiting 4 cities. It felt super safe, did all I wanted to do in Cuba. I would highly recommend. I definitely plan to return to see the beaches in their off season.

Great group to work with
Manny and Cary really put together some great highlights with thre local people
My guide Brayan and driver Sergei became my family for a week and life long friends
Brayan signed up for " 100 million learners "with my Grad school Thunderbird
We are a global managment school and are offering five free courses to everyone which can be used toward a degree
The cultural content of this trip were so good
From salsa lessons to jazz shows to art installations and the sights smells and sounds of cuba
I stayed in a hotel the first two nights but the casa particulares are where you see and breathe the culture customs and mores

Also i worked hard on my spanish and Brayan and Sergei were extremely patient and helpful

In fact Brayan and I now play on line chess but watch out he is really good!!

Try CATG you wont be disappointed

When a dive buddy suggested a weeklong diving trip to Cuba I knew I had to take the opportunity to spend some extra time seeing this interesting country. Of several tour options I contacted CTAG was by far the friendliest, most responsive and most flexible. We wanted to see more than just Havana, so we scheduled a week working our way down the island, then sending Jan home and me to the dive boat. CTAG was fantastic all around – from initially planning the itinerary to actual trip. Our guide, Neus, and driver, Noel, were superb and quickly seemed like family. We had wonderful experiences in Havana, Vinales, Cinefuegos and Trinidad – and places in-between. When weather or the limits of two aging travelers required a change, Neus and Noel adapted. We were never rushed – when we happened upon a high-school dance troupe practicing, we watched two complete routines – but our days were full. CTAG arranged accommodations that were very comfortable -- we’re used to spartan rooms and cold water when we go to Guatemala – CTAG put us in fabulous homes. Cuba is an interesting country – currency and banking regulations would make independent travel difficult. I highly recommend working with an experienced tour operator and CTAG is absolutely the best!

Wow, what a great time in Havana! I have to go back when I can to be able to enjoy even more time. I was able to fly in for 24 hours before embarking on a 7-day dive trip to Jucaro , Cuba. CTAG is a great company, and they took care of everything for me, and my personal tour guide Yosvany is awesome, a gracious and knowledgeable host as well as the others who I encountered. Thank you CTAG(Cuba Travel Adventure Group)

CTAG enabled our family to have a fantastic trip to Cuba!

We worked with Manny throughout the fall to develop a wonderful itinerary for our trip to Cuba. Everything went smoothly with the flights and the visas, and we felt prepared when we landed in Havana. We were met at the airport by our fantastic team - our guide, Zurdo, and our driver, Julio. Zurdo is an absolutely amazing guide. He helped us every step of the way and made sure everything went smoothly. Our conversations with Zurdo helped us understand the history and economy of Cuba, life in Cuba currently and in the past, hopes for the future for residents of Cuba, and much much more. Plus after an hour long salsa lesson with him and his lovely wife, we were all dancing away! He was very flexible and when weather or anything else caused us to have to pivot from the itinerary, he was ready with Plan B and Plan C to make sure we would continue to learn and enjoy. We can't say enough about our team of Zurdo and Julio - they kept us all engaged and excited throughout our week in Cuba.

We highly recommend going to Viñales if you have the chance. It is remarkably different from Havana and you can really get a feeling for rural life in Cuba. We had an early morning (5 am!) hike scheduled in Viñales which unfortunately got rained out (both Julio and Zurdo showed up at 5 am anyway to give us the disappointing news!), but I see in other reviews that this hike is a real highlight, so be sure to do it! Whichever guide you have will be awesome as far as I can tell (we met some of the other guides at the New Year's Eve party), but of course we felt like we had the BEST!

The accommodations were really nice - rooms in a larger house although one place there were only four rooms so we had the whole place. We always had delicious breakfasts at our lodging to fuel up for the day. All in all we had multiple wonderful meals ranging from simple to fancy, and we were able to hear great music every night and most days as well! We also went for runs along the Malecon every day and felt perfectly safe walking everywhere at all hours of the day or night.

In Havana, some big highlights were dinner and an evening at La Fábrica de Arte Cubano (an absolute must), a cooking lesson on the rooftop with Daisy, an incredible meal at 5 Sentidos, a visit to the Hotel Nacional, an auto tour in cars from the 50s, the Santería walk and talk, and an afternoon at the beach. We also loved walking through Habana Vieja and learning about the different plazas and buildings.

A big shout-out to our new dear friend Zurdo for making sure we had a wonderful trip. We are so grateful for all his efforts for our family. CTAG is a great company and will be sure to plan a super fun adventure for you while helping you learn about the history, economy, political situation, and general life in Cuba.

If you are looking to travel to Cuba, choose CTAG. Knowledgeable, experienced, professional and caring trip planners, guides, and on the ground Cuban staff. Our itinerary was well crafted by Cary. CTAG has done their homework. We enjoyed well vetted restaurants, venues and Cuban adventures. Our guide Neus was energetic, vibrant and an encyclopedia of knowledge. Our driver Frank was a safe chauffeur, and a true gentleman. He was always alert while navigating through Havana and the Cuban countryside.
We spent a week in Cuba and felt fortunate to have been taken care of so well.

I recently returned from a trip to Cuba with Cuba Adventures Travel Group (CATG). We spent time in Havana, Vinales valley and the Trinidad area. It was fantastic. CATG arranged for us to have a private guide, Zurdo, and driver during our stay. I would not have had the experience I had without the services of CATG and their team. Zurdo and our driver not only flawlessly executed the itinerary we had desired with fun, ease, and comfort, but they made it interesting with the knowledge of Cuba (and salsa) they shared with us. I highly recommend the team at CATG.

We had an expert guide and driver throughout the trip- they were personable, knowledgeable and made us feel safe throughout the tours. We were busy from 9AM to late at night with tours, events, meals. We saw the beauty of the people of Cuba and the beauty of the land but also saw the reality of the difficult economic conditions and the way in which the people cope. I would advise this trip and CTAG for anyone interested in visiting and learning about Cuba.

A group of coworkers and I agreed to plan a trip to Havana Cuba. We googled trip planners for Cuba and came upon CTAG. CTAG was the one for us. Although we started planning with a group, it ended up being only 2 of us going. The planning was easy to set up through Manny the owner and he took almost eveything into consideration. By know means this is a cheap trip. If that is what your looking for, then go elsewhere. However, the trip included most of the things you would otherwise have to pay for excluding alcohol, gifts, snacks, etc. Even things like Visas and basic cab rides were included.

Upon a arrival our guide was there waiting outside in the parking lot. It actually was the guide and the manager (Josvani and Alpi). They were great throughout the entire stay. They gave us a quick history of the country as we drove to our place. We had a lovely 2 bedroom apartment owned and operated by a local couple downstairs. It was rooftop with a balcony so we can enjoy the air. It was very clean and well kept. Highly recommended! Oh and the owners were very nice and made fresh breakfast, juice, and coffee in the mornings of our choices.

Our itinerary was packed with things to do. We were on the go almost all the time. For older or less mobile people maybe build in a day of rest or some light days for relaxation if that's what you need or want. But many and the CTAG team makes sure your day will not dull. Josvani (guide) made sure we didn't want for water as they kept it in our assigned taxi. Our driver Falsto was great as well. CTAG makes sure that you have enough Cuban pesos upon arrival as the currency is ever changing and the U.S. dollar is much more desired.....but beware. Still the government discourages it. We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily and we enjoyed them all. The margins of our itinerary were from the inner city of Havana's culture and people, to the mountains of Vinhales' tobacco farms, to the beautiful beaches on the outskirts of Havana! And all appeared to be rich in history and culture. If you want to really enjoy the people and culture of Cuba then book through CTAG. You won't regret it!

Our trip of 3 couples to Cuba with CTAG exceeded my expectations! First of all, the choices for our intinerary were amazing and so numerous that we had to really prioritize. Second, once we got to Cuba (which was so much easier than I ever thought) our tour guide Alpi and all of his team was absolutely amazing! Not only was he fun, but was so passionate and knowledgable about everything from Cuban history, politics, art and architecture and more! We stayed at incredible "inns" that were like beautiful homes (one in a neighborhood and one right in old Havana) and this enabled the group to interact together when we had moments of down time! Finally, we just did some of the most amazing activities (cooking class, bike tour, zip line etc) and I was amazed at the natural beauty of Cuba (the limestone mountains in Vinales etc) and the richness of the culture and warmth of the Cuban people we met. We danced in both the community and at the Buena Vista Social Club. I want to go back, as I feel like we just scratched the surface of all Cuba has to offer.

Just got back from my New Year's trip with CTAG and I wish I could give them 10 stars. From the very beginning Manny and Cary were excellent in making sure I was fully prepared for the trip. I booked the trip a few days before my actual departure and Cary was so gracious and accommodating. When I arrived in Cuba the CTAG guide (Brian) was excellent. He was knowledgeable, kind and very prompt. Cuba has great people, good food and a VIBE that you wouldn't believe. Thanks to CTAG, Manny and the entire crew I had the BEST NYE EVER and I experience Cuba in a way that was unforgettable. CTAG far exceeded my expectations.

One of the best trips I took. We were 2 older couples with our guide and a driver. the 9-days trip was orginized by CTAG, run by Manny and Cary.
I short, they all did more that expected to make our trip a sucess.
Travelling to Cuba is not a simple matter. Many things can go wrong. With us it was a 2-days epizode of a stomach virus.
Our guide did everything possible to make our time in Cuba and interesting and pleasant one. He was very knowlegble about Cuba's history.
There was plenty of food and drink. Plenty of time to rest and enjoy the wonderful art..
I can go on and on, but in short almost all aspects of the trip were run professionally by Manny and Cary and "Yossi" the guide.
I would recommend CTGA to anyone planning to go to this special country.

I want to give a huge shout out to the entire CTAG team, especially Cary, Manny and Alpi, for a truly fantastic and seamless trip from beginning to end. Because of CTAGs expertise and organization, we were able to experience Cuba, a fabulous, interesting and beautiful country full of warm, smart and friendly people. Highlights included: visiting Havana's Jewish synagogue, cooking and mojito making class with a local chef, learning about the Cuban economy and politics with a university professor, seeing the incredible mosaic art in Fusterlandia, visiting a tobacco plantation, and experiencing the beautiful landscape, caves and countryside of Vinales valley. None of this would have happened without CTAG's amazing "on the ground" superhero - our Cuban guide Alpi! All in all it was a terrific, unforgettable trip.

Our trip to Cuba with CTAG was exceptional. Off the charts outstanding in all areas. Our guide was top notch, the lodgings were outstanding, the food was terrific, and the places that we visited were once in a lifetime type of experiences. I cannot recommend CTAG more highly. We will be going back to CUBA with CTAG again.

CTAG Tours was very easy to work with and very accommodating, being very sensitive to my needs. I was on a tour that was only for me because of the timing of it -- and was able to go to many different kinds of places in the span of 5 short days. This included music, music, and more music; a trip to the Bay of Pigs and Playa Giron; delicious food; horseback riding; a tour of a place where tobacco is grown and processed for "tabacos puros"; Las Terrazas, complete with nature walk and an expert in the nature of the region; political discussions (there were many); a ride in a classic car through distinct neighborhoods of La Habana; exploration of a cave; a boat ride to a restored Taino village; practice in Spanish with a bilingual guide who helped me to improve my Spanish; and so much more. I think Cuba is in my blood - complete with the knowledge of its complicated relationship with the US and the many internal political debates and situations that arise. The education I received as priceless! I would go back again in a heartbeat!

We just returned from a month in Cuba, planned and guided through the auspices of Manny and his staff at Cuba Travel Adventure Group. We are experienced independent travelers, and very reluctantly (due to tightened US travel restrictions) went with a tour company. Our experience was much more personal, extremely rich and incredibly informational due to their planning and our excellent guides in Cuba! Doors were opened to us which would not have been had we been on our own. Each detail of our trip was carefully planned to give us a broad variety of experiences and insights. Our guide in Cuba, Ernesto, spoke excellent English and took care to make sure we were getting the trip we hoped for. He adjusted schedules, found guides to meet our desires to see more of the natural world of Cuba, and treated us like family. Our driver for most of our trip, Rolando, was also a gem and so willing to share his knowledge of history. We can't say enough about the care and experiences we got by traveling to Cuba with this team! Although the cost was more than if we had traveled on our own, the value was significantly more! We highly recommend this company.

Unforgettable Cuban Getaway with CTAG: A Traveler's Dream Come True!

CTAG took care of every single detail of our trip, yet at the same time, our trip was our "own" for just the two of us.

CTAG arranged the flights from Miami to Havana, the visas, and the money exchange, advised us on filling out the forms, and arranged a guide, driver, lodging, and activities. Their "sample" itinerary was perfect for us: a salsa dancing lesson, a drive in a beautifully restored vintage 1955 Dodge, a cooking lesson in the countryside at an eco-savvy farm, a visit to a tobacco farm, a night at the Tropicana, a night at the Buena Vista Social Club, lunch with a university professor / former diplomat, walking tours everywhere, a visit to a Cuban art museum, lodging at darling private boutique residences, and meals at wonderful restaurants.

Our guide, Brayan ("Brian"), and driver, Noel, were exceptional. Brayan was a wealth of information, always with a smile on his face. He listened hard to us and made subtle changes to our itinerary to accommodate our wishes. Noel was always there to pick us up, give us bottles of water, and drop us off, and since my wife is fluent in Spanish, Noel was also a fun part of our "family." Brayan speaks perfect English, loves to share information, has a deep knowledge of the history and culture of Cuba, and truly loves to discuss almost any subject you can imagine.

We got to know Cuba - the history, the feeling of it, the rhythms of life there - on an exponentially deeper level than if we had tried it on our own.

Thank you, Manny and Cary, for all of the trip planning, and thank you, Brayan and Noel, for executing our trip so flawlessly and making it SO fun!

Incredible tour company, I would send everybody their way. We spent 5 days in Cuba, had a private guide and driver with us the entire time who were friendly, personable, attentive, knowledgeable, and overall just really enjoyable to spend time with. We could not have envisioned a better experience with the two of them.

Have traveled extensively using tour groups, and these guys are top notch. Helped blow our Cuba expectations out of the water. They also include all meals and activities and everything in the cost, which I really appreciated (and its very reasonably priced!)

5 stars for sure.

We had a wonderful experience with Cuba Travel Adventures, spending 8 days in the Cuba. Manny Kopstein, the agency's owner, spent much time on the phone with us, listening to our interests and wishes, and then putting together a travel itinerary customized to our needs. He arranged for us to spend "quality time" visiting with educated native Cubans expert in their field; he selected beautiful and fascinating places for us to visit and tour, and found activities meaningful to us that we will always remember. The pace was just right for us; every day was packed with amazing new experiences, but we never felt rushed and there was as much (or little) downtime as we wanted. Manny's long personal experience and comfort in Cuba clearly showed, as he made the arrangements. Once we arrived, our constant guide (Daniel) was warm and engaged - and VERY honest about his own life and perceptions in Cuba! Almost all our guides and experts spoke excellent English (though our home-stay hosts did not); and Daniel was happy to translate freely when needed. Daniel and his manager in Cuba, Ernesto, were able to manage last-minute changes and requests easily. Once we returned, we recommended Cuba Travel Adventures to friends, who also returned raving about their experience. We really got a flavor and deep insight into the life of Cuba. Highly recommended!
