Beautiful park along side the waterfront where you can get a view of Mount Rainier. The park has a long wide sidewalk along the water with multiple piers to get close to the water and see Rainier. You can also see the port, boats and many views of the water and mountains.

Great beach access along the Ruston Way/Tacoma waterfront. Good for throwing rocks and taking in views of Brown's Point, the Port of Tacoma and passing cargo ships. You can see Rainier and the Olympics as well.

I've driven over the pass a million times but never stopped here. So glad I did thus time its spectacular. The park is very clean, well taken care of and clean restrooms. Its appears to have alot camping. There are picnic spots turnouts with tables and fire pits along the lake for day use.

Lovely views of Rainier, operational train tracks behind add character. They closed the road next to it for 4th of July and that was awesome to be able to just walk around care free. Food trucks for the festival were very good.

A nice place to take a walk, or sit & spend some time near the water. We went for a backdrop for photos.

Me and my Fiance have been coming here for years. One of our first dates and has always been a special place. Love the new remodelling that's happened. So lively and fun with an amazing view and great food. Or even just a walk by the beach. Deffinetly recommend.

We always enjoy going to this place for an evening picnic. This morning we went there for our morning reading/devotionals. It was quite pleasant, a little noisy with all the truck traffic. It would have been nicer also if there wasn't as smoke storm in the Pacific northwest right now to, but.... I'm sure the weekends are quieter and the smoke isn't here all the time. So I'm sure I'll be back. Probably this weekend.

I grabbed a lunch and sat at a picnic type table. I truly enjoyed the view. The passersby that spoke at all, were very nice. The rest attended their own business. All in all, a nice place to enjoy the view and, eat in peace.

I have been coming to this park for years and despite the influx of transplants from Seattle that has really ruined our smaller town culture, this park remains unchanged. Maybe because you have to do some exploring and you can carve out your own little piece of the beach. Truly romantic but don't travel too far down the trail unless you are familiar with the tides. (People get trapped) . Could be another reason we are seeing less foot traffic in comparison to The Greek Festival last year.

You have to visit this place at high tide and low tide to get the full experience. It's fun to walk around on low tide among the old pilings and concrete structures. There's lots of sea life in the tidepools left behind. It's a long Ruston Way so it's easy to walk to and not very crowded.
