Clean and organized! I came here to purchase a rare Canada Dry Cranberry Ginger Ale. To add, this is the only local Safeway that has it 🥳. The staff is friendly and ready to assist. I would say this is my favorite Safeway to come to, considering I have one close to my house. I’m willing to sacrifice convenience for a relaxing shopping experience; and that’s exactly what this particular Safeway provides 🙂

Floral staff "above and beyond" is their philosophy with the care in their customers and quality of products! Ordering ahead of time is a HUGE suggestion.

Super excited to see this Safeway took such an initiative to think of families with Disabilities! Hopefully All Safeways will consider purchasing Caroline's assist grocery carts.

I absolutely love their prepared foods/deli. Everyone is friendly, food is fresh and looks delicious. I go on my lunches and come here to grab something to eat and they are always amazing. I've also interacted with the florist and the people at self checkout and they are all rockstars to!

I've never bought snickerdoodles. I've always made my own. They were on sale today and I picked up a package and they were so good. Only a couple minutes in line. Five star

Frankly, I really enjoy doing my shopping here, because of the availability of the items the sell. Not only they have the day to day regular items, but these chain of markets have also speciality items from other country. And in the mornings the delicious gouda sandwiches along with the fresh coffee.

Good service. I was in their pharmacy. Their pharmacist Taylor is an above and beyond person. I observed how he was good with every patient. He is an amazing guy. Every pharmacy needs a person like him. Rest of the staff are awesome too. They bend backwards to serve to customers. Maybe Walgreens needs to send their people for training to this location to improve their operations. Thanks Taylor and thanks Safeway for the awesome service.

This is the furthest Safeway from me but it’s the best Safeway in Tacoma.
The Safeway on M street feels unsafe and a couple employees have bad attitudes.
The small Caucasian girl working the Hot food station was very nice when I ordered a supreme combo. She even gave me a fortune cookie for free!
The thick Hispanic guy working self checkout around lunch time thanked every customer who completed their order as they walked out.
I have NEVER been thanked by any Safeway employee…and that’s ok but it tells you how much the employees understand customer svc.

Reviewers complaining about the price don’t seem to understand that you always get what you pay for. The produce at this location is 3 times more fresh. Rent/Lease terms are also going to be different based on location and some costs may not be controllable by the store.

I actually appreciate the cleanliness, the attention to detail and great customer service.

Good and nice place. Even the people are nice! I like it.

This location always has fresh produce and stocks everything I need. But it's the employees that make it great. They're always helpful and kind and even go out of their way to chat with my son about his toys whenever we go shopping. Parking isn't great but it's not a deal breaker.

I’ve been going to the SafeWay for years now and I love it!! The employees are so nice and respectful and good to customers. I buy all kinds of stuff from this SafeWay location. All the employees deserve a raise and full benefits. Keep up the perfect work and thank you!!

Great place. clean, organized and professional. Shopping to beat the crowd. At 9am I asked when would baked chicken would be ready. Turned out it was ready. I was helped in under a minute. My only shopping displeasure was there were no paper filters for coffee pods used in the Keurigs or Cuisinart Coffee makers. I love the store.

The staff and the customers are awesome. The clerk asked if I had any coupons to redeem and I told her I did not. The lady behind me said; " I have extras what does she need?" Then she and the clerk figured it out and saved me about$25! NICE!!!

I love my Safeway for pretty much every reason.
The employees have always been very nice, professional, polite, respectful and even funny.
I've never had an issue with any customers as well.
They have a great selection of essentially everything I need, and want.
In the rare instances they don't have something I need, they do their best to help accommodate me and my needs.
I've also never had an issue with returning the very few items I've taken back.
Occasionally I've seen a few panhandlers.
From my perspective, when I, and/or others, informed management of the people panhandling, they've immediately addressed the issue to ensure customer and employee safety concerns by addressing the people with dignity and respect for all concerned.
Chris, the manager is always pleasant and surprisingly remembers me and will ask me how I (and my family members) are doing with sincerity.
I enjoy hearing how his family is doing in return.
The store is always clean and well stocked.
How lucky are we all to have such a great neighborhood grocery store!

Safeway is Safeway. Very consistent selection and service across their stores, which I appreciate. They always have nice friendly checkers and there are enough folks working around the store to tap on if you have questions. Everything is fairly priced. The produce is good, not fantastic like at Metropolitan Market, but no major concerns and you’re not paying Met Market prices. The store is well lit and clean. Everyone is wearing masks and practicing smart covid protocols. Pretty good selection of vegan products.

Nice and clean. Good selection but like every store now days keeping the shelves stocked is a real challenge. Employees are all very helpful.

This place has had its issues with me. Boy is the staff here forgiving. Over the years they have come to accept me for me and say hi. The store is always clean and pretty well stocked. The employees is where this store shines! So many days I had trouble cheering up, but the folks here smile and are sincerely sweet.
