Stairs and Slides

Husband and I were just planning to rent the razors across the pedestrian bridge, but we couldn't resist the slides.
The view from up top (pics 2&4) was beautiful, and I loved the bridge. (Last 2 pics on bridge.)
The slides are obviously gonna have some wear from use, but they were clean and in perfect condition. Idk how long these have been here. The slides are narrow because they are meant for kids, but I needed to slide down. For educational purposes--to see if my 1yo would like it, not because my inner childish self wanted to. . . 😳
I didn't get great pics, but you can find sea otters swimming about in the yaht club, and geese with their babies, depending on the time of year.
Highly recommend for families, or those who live to be free as a child.

A lot of fun on the slides which are fairly long. The view of the sound is pretty awsome too.

The kids had so much fun here. They keep going up and slide down for almost half an hour. The view here is great too, where you can see both the Mt Rainier and the ferry terminal. There is a multi purpose parking lot just at the bottom of the stairs where you can park easily and access to the slides.

So much fun! The stairs were a great workout, the view was amazing. We could see Mt. Ranier perfectly. The slides were fast but not overly long or scary for my six year old

Super cool little suprise to find on your adventures. The kids and adults all took turns sliding down and climbing back up. Nothing will tire your kid out faster.

What an awesome, FREE and simple place that my kids LOVED! We enjoyed the stairs and slides for over an hour. Very unique and memorable place to play.

What a great way to get exercise! It was a highlight for everyone and the stairs are even a comfortable, not arduous climb.

We love this park! I let the kids run up and down for 20 minutes and it was a great way to use extra energy. It was a also a quick way to get a work out in for me on a work break!

What a great concept: stairs up; slides down.

The slide itself wasn’t very slick. Maybe bring a burlap sack for some real speed.

It's like real life chutes and ladders, fun for all ages! Best way to get to it is from the Yacht Club parking area, a nice little excursion while waiting for the ferry to go to Vashon.

This was so much fun! I highly recommend this place for anyone who is visiting Tacoma or just looking for something fun to do!

Fun and free place for your kids to run up the stairs & slide down the stairs.

The bridge over is pretty cool too. Great fun up and down. See if you can complete the entire down and up in less than a minute

A great way to trick your kids into running up stairs and getting some exercise. Also, great views and lots of fun.

So cool. It's just slides built along to the stairs that take you to a bridge where you can walk to the park. So simple, so much fun. My kids would climb on and slide them for hours if I let them. You get an incredible view of the sound and Ranier. There's a ton of parking and like I said it leads right into the park by the rose garden. Fun, free, easy to get to, yeah, it's cool.

Fun metal slides and stairs for those 1year to 99 years old. Everyone self monitored for taking turns. Great place to run the kids before nap or bed! Clean. Has picnic tables at bottom and trash bins.

It's a short visit, but fun free thing to do with the kids if you're in the area.
