Judge Jack Tanner Park

Probably the best place to park on the strip! People usually pass it up, or forget to swing in on their way back. Great spot to collect your thoughts and stare at the water!

I love walking along this pathway and can't wait for the expansion that will connect it to Point Defiance. So many places to enjoy waterfront time. It's about 7 miles round trip from Point Ruston to the Chinese Reconciliation Park, all flat and paved. Stop in between for a meal at any of several good restaurants. Free parking along the entire stretch.

A favorite place of mine to stop along the Tacoma Waterfront. It had shade, picnic tables, benches, great views, and a pier that overlooks Commencement Bay, Mt Rainier, and the Port of Tacoma.

I was at the park right at dusk. It was peaceful & beautiful. I stayed long enough to enjoy watching the geese fly off for the evening. That was fun to watch.

Ruston Way is always a nice place to walk an see the beautiful waterfront.

Tacoma's waterfront parks are a terrific place for a picnic, a walk, or just to stare at the water with the one you love.

The view, the people, and the ocean. Love it. All of my kids know this place, with the rest of Ruston Way, as the. Summer. Time. Spot. Respect ourselves and our parks, and please keep it clean, and thank you all the volunteers who pick up the relentless amount of garbage along the way. Pillars in the community for the daily dedicated! Enjoy, and keep the many generations to come returning to the best place in Tacoma. 💯

Beautiful ! Nice place to view the water and see marine life . Saw 3 seals . Wanted to see orcas but I don't think they come around over here lol. Another of dog walkers here .

Great beach, lots of small stretches of sand, perfect for jogging, biking, and dog walking

I always have a blast here. Nice pebble beach areas off the sidewalk where I talk my girlfriend to skip rocks.

Lovely, quiet little park on most days. There are plenty of runners along the trail, but other than that, picturesque. I've seen a few bald eagles hang out around here on multiple visits.

Great place to relax. I just love the scenery. This is definitely a nice place to take your family if you're just looking to get out of the house and get a little bit of exercise and if you have dogs, they'll probably love it too.

Water was so blue. Went down and ate lunch at the new Hawaiian place there just before you go onto the dock. Their food was great. Kinda expensive but you get alot of food for the price. My husband and I both ordered the Massive BBQ, ate what we could and brought home the rest for lunch next day.
