The stylist I had, Kensey, was the sweetest, most professional but friendly woman who’s ever done my hair. She cut my hair to perfection (ie the way I described I wanted it) and then styled it with some cute braids. I left very satisfied and plan to come back to her for all my hair cutting/coloring needs. She seems to really care about her clients and that’s such a special quality to find in a stylist.

Amazing service always! Jess is the best and does a great job with my hair plus the whole staff is so nice and fun to be around!

I have seen multiple stylists here over the years, most recently/during COVID, Jess. Everyone is very knowledgeable and will make your experience fantastic! Jess was so enthusiastic and encouraging I had zero reservations chopping off 12 inches of hair to donate! She was not only able to put me at ease about a big chop, but also able to get me excited for a new look! I have very thick hair with a slight curl that she was able to guide into the exact look that I was going for! Thank you, Jess and the whole team at the Refinery!

I've been going to Jess for a while now and she is so amazing with my super fine hair, she always helps me decide what to do with it and teaches me a new haircare trick every time I see her. My color and cuts grow out so well which is perfect for my low maintenance style. She's the best!

I'm not a picky person when it comes to my hair, but the gals at The Refinery Salon always know how to talk me through what I'm envisioning and make it happen! Jess especially has always done a great job walking me through the process and products being used, so it's an educational experience as well.

The salon itself is comfortable, clean, and proximate to downtown Edmonds. Highly recommend.

Gratitude to my new stylist, Teagan. Her technique was gentle and worked very well on my thinning hair and dry scalp. My hair feels soft and looks super cute, imho. I’ve been to the refinery salon a couple times now and everyone is so friendly. Alejandra is my stylist she great at giving you exactly what you want. I haven’t been to a stylist where they actually put effort in to listening to the customer. But Alejandra listens and offers all knowledge and the best service. I would 110% recommended Alejandra to anyone.

Jess, and the rest of the absolutely adorable staff, not only took wonderful care of me during my first ever salon experience, but made sure I had a truly outstanding haircut before I left. The level of passion and enthusiasm for the craft is the kind of thing you wish to see in any business, truly a fantastic experience. Cannot wait to go back.

This is a really great salon! I see Hannah and she’s definitely the best! She asks the right questions and is the nicest, most patient stylist I’ve ever had in my life. The space is really nice, roomy, and feels private (no one from outside can watch you get your hair cut). They have a lot of Kevin Murphy product, and some Knick knacks at the front for little cute gifts. The staff is always really kind - I highly recommend this place, and if you’re a guy and want a killer haircut, go see Hannah!! But she does female cuts very well also, my fiancé will ONLY get her hair cut and footer from Hannah.

Haley rescued me from an awful cut I got elsewhere! She is super friendly and knew exactly what would look great on me - I got a compliment on my haircut within 2 hours of getting it!

I also like that they don't have a separate rate schedule for men vs women. Instead you just pay by the amount of time you want the stylist to spend. Which is super convenient for quick touch-up/reshape.

After having a nightmare at another salon (literally days before giving birth) I came across a recommendation for the Refinery and their ‘blonde specialist’ Brianna. She spent time understanding what I wanted and filled me with so much confidence she could fix my hair! After a two phase approach to fix the damage (and not having me leave with fried hair), I left with a look I love! The salon is great and low key but uses the very best of products. My hair smells and looks amazing and I know I’m in great hands!

Just had a fabulous experience with Jason who chopped 6 inches off my hair! He was a total sweetheart who listened to me and understood my hair as soon as he put his fingers in it. I felt welcome and instantly at ease.
Service was great, everyone was relaxed and friendly and the style/decor of the whole building was beautiful, fun and sparkly. I can't say enough good! I'll definitely be back.

Jess is an amazing stylist. She cut my husband’s hair and cut and colored mine. These are the best haircuts we have ever had. Jess is friendly, professional and has a great sense of style. She knows what haircut works for your face and hair type.

After leaving with a haircut that I was less than enthused about, and tried to get used to, I called the salon. The receptionist, along with the Co-Owner, Sarah, were both very understanding and kind in their response. The stylist I had seen had done a nice job, it just wasn’t what I had asked for based on pictures that I had brought. So, to remedy it, I was offered the opportunity to schedule an appointment to have it fixed by Senior Stylist, Rebecca. She made me feel that my concerns were valid, and helped me by explaining what she could do, and listened well to what I had wanted. Within about 30-minutes me hair was looking more like I had imagined, and I felt relieved that she understood what I was hoping for. I left feeling satisfied with my experience, and valued the time the team took to make sure that I was happy with my new hairdo. Thank you, ladies!

I have had nothing but great service at this salon! From the minute you walk in to when you leave, you are treated like an important customer. I love my stylist too! My hair always looks great. I highly recommend The Refinery.

The Refinery completely saved my son & daughter in-law’s wedding day! My daughter in-law’s scheduled stylist from another salon got COVID the day before the wedding! What a nightmare for an entire wedding party! But The Refinery salon jumped in and came to the rescue ON THEIR DAY OFF to save a loyal client and family. I will rave all day about their service and commitment to their guests. A++ salon!

I went in today a Saturday as a walk- in, as a new client and and was booked immediately. saw Karissa for a brow wax. I usually have a very hard time getting my brows done the way I want them and she did amazing!! Definitely going back to see her again!

Came across Refinery the old fashion way. I saw someone with amazing hair and asked her where she gets it done and she (strongly) referred me to Sarah. My boyfriend decided to treat me to going here and I'm so glad I did!

Got in to see Sarah for a full balayage and haircut and am super impressed. First of all, I'm pretty picky and a serial monagomist when it comes to my hair. I went to the same person in Tucson, AZ for a decade (even when I lived in San Francisco) but I don't go home often anymore, so, I needed to find someone here. I have dark hair (colored by me) that has not been professionally cut for two years *eh hem grad student* and she was able to lighten it up quite a bit without frying it or walking out looking like Tony the Tiger. She did a great job with the cut-- I've had a terrible time finding a good hair stylist out here (think football helmet hair cut from Gene Juarez) and I'm so glad I was sent her way. My hair looks and feels amazing.

The salon is adorable, everyone is really nice and not pushy about buying products or make you feel bad about the condition of your hair. SO looking forward to going back in a couple months! PS: They have MIND BLOWING promotions. Like, woah. >.<

I live in Seattle but make the commute to Edmonds just to see Lizzie! It's so nice to sit in her chair and know that if I completely surrender to her, she won't let me down! She's incredibly talented and has a very good understanding of all hair types. I have very stubborn straight hair and she makes it behave every time. I've learned so much from her and always feel glamorous when I leave . Lizzie is a sweet lady full of talent. She has a great knack for hiring talented staff. Check them out and feel refined!

My 13yr old is so pleased with her new cut. Alejandra was so nice and chatted about young teen stuff. It was nice to hear while I waited. We will definitely be coming back!
