Ocean Crest Spa

Amazing spa experience! Received a warm greeting upon arrival. Amenities were very nice and clean. Enjoyed the outdoor relaxation area. I would highly recommend Robert for massage & Christina for facial. They were both excellent & very professional! We will definitely be coming back!

I had stayed at Cape Rey Resort back in Oct 2023 while attending a conference.
So when I planned a staff retreat decided to return. 13 of us had spa treatments including facials, hot stone, deep tissue, and body scrub and massages. Every one of us were extremely satisfied. Jeannette the Spa Director and Sylvie were so incredibly helpful in arranging treatments for our group.

Personally I want to give a HUGE shout out to Antonio for giving me one of the best messages I've ever had (and I've been getting body work for more than 30 years). He applied the perfect amount of pressure and worked my muscles and lower back so when I was done I felt as if I was levitating off the table. I only wished I lived closer so I could visit Ocean Crest Spa more often.

If you're trying to decide on a place to stay in Carlsbad with a spa I highly recommend Ocean Crest.

Please book an 80 minute deep tissue massage - you will not regret it! A friend and I stayed at the resort (for work) and decided to book a couple's massage (same massage room) for a birthday celebration. Talk about HEAVEN! Regardless of what type of massage you book, it is 100% custom tailored to you. The technician I was so lucky to get was PHENOMENAL and I couldn't be more impressed and thankful! I'm a fan of medium to firm on intensity and she delivered above and beyond! Overall, from the moment we walked in, the environment felt absolutely amazing! Every single staff we interacted with was so sweet, tea and lemon water is offered while waiting (I recommend the Jasmine tea - yum!), the entire process is very comforting and homey, and champagne is provided after your massage. There are also showers and a steamroom available. We sat outside on the patio sipping champagne after having all the stress melted away and it was the BEST kickoff to our day! Even if you aren't staying at the resort, you should check out the Ocean Crest Spa!

They take great care of you without breaking the bank. It's the best north county option for the spa services. Omni and Aviara have great surrounding space to relax w friends, but you are paying a fortune for it.

1st visit. Booked a spa pedicure for me & my boyfriend. Beautiful spa located within hotel. From the valet attendant to the spa front desk person & nail technicians, everyone was pleasant & greeted us with smiles. We spent some time dipping our legs in the hotel jacuzzi & sunbathing until the nail technician came & got us.

The pedicure station is in its own separate room of the spa, which is nice to offer guests that privacy. I don't like how traditional nail salons are completely open and everyone can see you getting your service. This private setup is way better in my opinion.

The nail technicians (Janette & Victoria) were very sweet and the service was relaxing and met my expectations. There was little bit of technical failure with the pedicure chairs' water temperature/jets not functioning properly, but not too major of a problem that it interrupted the enjoyment of the service. I would definitely return for a pedicure. Pricing is comparable to those stand alone nail salons. So between the 2, I'd rather go here since it's the same price, but nicer facilities & experience.

I'll also look into a couple's massage here because the spa rooms are so beautiful.

My daughter and I had body treatments and wow! I had the Endless Wave, and she had the Motion in the Ocean. My therapist was exceptional. I have had many body treatments and massages, but I was moved by the KINDNESS and INTENTION that flowed from her hands. This may seem hokey to you, but you can really tell when someone is emotionally checked in while they're working on you. She was so generous with her attention and focus. It was a very special experience!

My husband and I love coming here for the spa treatments. We both really like Tabatha. She is awesome and very attentive. I’ve had many massages, but hands-down she is the best!!The staff is very friendly and personable too. Highly recommend.

The spa is modern and very relaxing. It's not a huge facility but comfortable enough so far that I am not bumping into other clients. There is one shower area with 2 spacious stalls and a steam room. . They have flavored purified water, anti-oxidant teas, and light snacks. Women and men's areas are separate.
I've had massages and facials here and enjoyed them both. The services are extremely reasonable for a resort spa. The staff is very friendly

Very nice facility and great staff. When in town, a stop at Ocean Crest for a massage is a must for me. Michelle's the absolute best.

A bit spendy, but well worth it. Been here a few times when we stayed at the hotel. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable. We will probably return even if we do not stay in the hotel.
