Mount Acadia Park

I come to Mt Acadia Park because of the Mountain views: West- Mt. Soledad, Southeast- Mt. San Miguel, East- Fortuna's & Cowles, El Cajon Mountain, Cuyamaca Mountains, Laguna Mountains.
North- Mt. Woodson, Palomar Mountain. On clear days you might even see Northeast Desert mountains!
You can view the panoramic scene of Mountains from walking trail behind ballfields.
Soledad Mt., and even Mission Bay from West of bathrooms.
Also there are many birds here, and that fly through.
There are trails down & beyond park to east, but I do not recommend. 1/2 mi. South on Genesee Ave. is entrance to Tecolote Natural Canyon (no restrooms).

Good park and playground for younger children. Sand area and good, clean playground equipment and swings. There are a couple baseball fields but the rest of the park is not flat for other sports. Mature shade trees, views to Mount Solidad. Great spot to spend an afternoon.

Nice park. I bring my dog here all the time

I went to school next to this park as a teen. I recently moved close to the park and brought new born son here. I've come full circle. This park is special to me. The one problem I have is the times I gone recently there have been 2bums sleeping on or near the benches. They are the same two I notice because one has a stroller with his stuff in it. That's a bit of a concern because it's like a community park for families and children and they shouldn't be exposed to that in my opinion. Bums didn't come here when I was a teen. Oh one other thing that bothers me is that they don't keep up and maintain the baseball fields. One of them the southern one is basically a dog park which isn't cool and shouldn't be utilized this way. I would be good with them turning that field into a dog park. Just using the baseball field as a dog park instead of if that's what the community wants then I think they should go through the channels with the city and elected officials to make it happen. I love this park regardless for my own personal and nostalgic reasons.

We love this little park! Nice playground and picnic tables. Plus ball fields and big grassy areas. Also bathrooms right in the middle. Small parking lot but lots of space on street.

Mount Acadia is a nice quiet place with penned in baseball fields for people to play with their children and pets. The restrooms are always open and they have hot charcoal dump boxes. There's also a playground.

Great park not overly crowded. Playground for the little ones and ample area for the four-legged friends.

Pretty quiet, nice grass. There were a few dogs off leash in an unfenced area but they didn't bother with my dogs at all.

Great neighborhood park with parking and restrooms. Playground is still closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. Pet friendly park and lots of open grass area

Small but beautiful. This park has a large expanse of green grass for kids to play and some playground items like a slide.

Mack Dadddy of parks

Mad memories here . Home away from home...literally. haha. They chopped the doors off bottom of private restrooms so its even colder in there than before. Also, they now lock restrooms at night and dont reopen them till i think about 8am. Not cool Clairmont...where are we hoodlums suoised to safely squat and asleep at night now??!!

Awesome awesome park. Exept when people hog the gated grass area. For just there dogs. But other then that great park

Perfect park for people picnics kids play animals play but its closed temporarily because the street is under construction

Very spacey park, lots of area to have privacy and talk.

The fields are nice but the softball dirt can tear holes in your pants when you slide to home 🙃

A fun place for young children. A few odd sort of fellows in the parking lot.
